Five meals. All great! Salmon, Fish & Chips, Hamburger were all excellent. A local restaurant where the locals don’t stop what they’re doing to stare at the strangers in town.

The next time I come to Red Feather Lakes I’m bringing food with me. This seemed to be the only local option. We waited here for 30 minutes with no service, not even water. I can’t imagine how long it would take to get food. The place was swarming with flies – everywhere. That was enough to make us leave. This is my first bad review on Unilocal but I’d recommend everyone to stay away. No soap in the bathroom, which is never a good sign.

We should have known not to eat there, as we were walking in two families were walking out and warned us not go in. It took 55 minutes to get eggs, toast, and 2 sausages. Once we finally got our food it was incorrect. Not once in that 55 minutes did a server come by and refill our waters or coffees. There was no apology about the wait. Will never be going back.

Went there today for lunch had super service from Amy and a great green chilli beef burrito. Girlfriend and I had a great time just visiting after our meal. They updated the main dining room and it has a nice ambiance. Went there a few weeks ago… had same experience. So, yes we’ll be coming back again. PS we watched a Mose just across the street… Nice!

Great staff great food. Pot Belly offers a warm friendly atmosphere in the remote village of Red Feather lakes. They have a great selection of drinks and beer on tap and the food is a nice variety of home cooked specialties and gourmet flare. The Pot Belly is an oasis in this sleepy little village and always a pleasure to stop in for a nice mix of locals and visitors.

I used to absolutely love this place! My boyfriends family has a cabin up there and in the summers we go there a bunch and visit the pot belly everytime. The last THREE times have been such a terrible experience that I will NEVER return. About a week ago was our last straw. After sitting down in a DIRTY booth, we were not even greeted for over twenty minutes. When the waitress approached she didn’t even greet us just asked what we wanted to eat like it was a burden we were there. We have a one year old, and when we ordered him a drink, it was given in a huge adult cup therefore it spilling right away. We sat there with a dripping beverage all over the table unable to find anyone who could give us napkins or a rag for quite sometime. Our food took forever and was definitely not worth the price of over 10 bucks a plate. Our server never checked on us once, we even had to get up and go to the server station ourself to grab ketchup. We asked for a kids menu so our child could color(due to the fact it was taking so long) and we’re given a dirty coloring book that every single page was completely filled in. When it came time to leave our bill was twenty one dollars, we also waited forever for the check btw at least 20 minutes, and I gave the waitress a fifty dollar bill. She informed me she didn’t have change, therefore I had to pay for some of it in quarters which was embarrassing(no way was I tipping almost 30 dollars, because she didn’t have change!!) The two times before that was almost the exact same situation. Don’t waste your time at this joke of a restaurant.

Wasn’t sure what to expect. Was stuck in a conference center while the attendees went to lunch. Ran out and grabbed a sandwich. YUM. Wasn’t dissappointed.

It is what it is, the only option in a small vacation town. If you go, it’s a pretty spacious place, different rooms, different sitting configurations. Seat yourself kind of thing, so make sure you are seen! The staff is hit or miss — the gal that was on and serving was very knowledgeable and knew her stuff, the fella that ended up getting our table was completely overwhelmed, got the special wrong — as in — there aren’t any today(but the other gal had 3 different options…), and our food was so long in coming to us i was ready to eat my hand. I ordered the fish sandwich on recommendation from another reviewer, but it arrived dry, with none of the spicy aoli and no-one ever returned for me to ask for it. It was a fried piece of fish on a bun… ugh. I retrieved my own hot sauce and vinegar, but it didn’t really help. I had asked for the appetizer of chili cheese fries as my side dish, so i’m guessing that sent them into a tizzy, but honestly i didn’t think it was that odd ball of a request. The green chili was pretty watery, and make the fries squishy, they were kind enough to place the sandwich bottom button on a ring of onions and the pickles to keep the bun from getting soggy… I’m thinking they should have suggested something else, or put them in a bowl… Luckily all i was drinking was water so it was easy for anyone to get that for me. I know the issue was a sudden influx, why«weird» order, and the wrong wait staff… but… I really would have been happier sitting at my camp site eating chips and salsa, it was an experiment and one i wont repeat. If you need to get out of your camp site or cabin, it’s an option…

We come to Red Feather and Crystal Lakes every year to stay at The Mountain Rose. We always go to The Potbelly because the people are so nice and the food is pretty good. We just love the home like feeling you get there. We will always come to eat there many times during our 15 day stay, it is just a great little place. ALANDRANDIE LASVEGAS, NV.

3.5 stars Went for a drive and ended up here for lunch. With a mountain cabin feel this place seems to be very popular with the locals… and for good reason. Friendly service at the bar, decent portions at a reasonable price. I had the fish sandwich with spicy remoulade sauce… not quite«spicy» to me, but they had a nice selection of hot sauces to remedy it quickly. Overall, better than ok… if I am in the area i’ll be back… the best compliment one can give to a restaurant/pub.

We arrived here after a long morning of motorcycle riding. It appeared right at the end of the dirt road we were on, so naturally we had to swing in. It’s got a locals feel to it, and the people were welcoming from the minute we stepped in the door. The asked about our bikes, where we were going, just generally nice peeps. The bar tender was really nice, and they had Dales on tap, so I was happy. Portions are not huge, but not over priced either. Had a nice stop here.

One of my favorite places to dine in Red Feather Lakes. Burgers n fries, chilli, nachos, salads, soups, a deli counter and a very well stocked bar. After a full day of being in the mountains, this is a great, rustic place, filled with knotty pine charm, to fill yer belly!

The Potbelly is one of the few restaurant options in the area. They serve lunch and dinner and have a full bar. The food is well prepared and the wait staff is professional and friendly. We eat here often, as there are no decent options in the Upper Poudre Canyon.
