Wow! Great food. Simple décor. FREEWIFI. The experience is all about great food. The spring rolls were bursting at the seams with shrimp. Best soups around.

Long wait at lunch even though only one other customer. Rice plate with plain rice and dried out chunks of chicken.

I’ve been looking for somewhere in Red Bluff that has Phở, so I was so excited when I found that Saigon Bistro has it. That was until I tried it; I was very disapointed. I called my order in and picked it up to take home. The phở was fully prepared with the noddles and sprouts already in the broth. If you’ve ever ordered phở to go before then you know that this isn’t how it’s typically done. By the time I got home to eat it the noddles and the sprouts where soggy. The chicken was tough and didn’t have much of a taste to it, other than a dry chicken taste, but worst of of all the broth totally lacked flavor. Needless to say I was extremely disapointed. I was thinking about going back and trying it again, hoping that maybe before it was a fluke, but after reading the reviews it sounds like I’m not the only one with a poor experience. I will say though that the lady(owner?) was VERY nice, which is the only reason why it got 2 stars from me.

I’ve wanted to try this place for a while. It was just not good. My hubby had one bite and that was it. Maybe the sandwiches are good but we didn’t order one. I had the Phở soup. It was ok but not good. Noodles were Top Ramen type. I don’t mean the style but actual Top Ramen. Beef was so tough I couldn’t barely chew it. The broth was good, not great but good. Very little flavor. Ordered a Spring Roll which was very fishy tasting. I don’t know how or why but I had already said I was very allergic prior to ordering. I have no idea why it tasted like fish but I couldn’t eat it. My hubby has a pork dish and the pork was old and over cooked. Gristly too. Took him hours to get the taste out of his mouth. Had to stop and buy some Life Savers and still took a while. The cleanliness was also an issue. Dead bugs and dust galore. If it was busy or open long hours I could maybe see it as it’s family ran. But very limited hours. Need to break down and spend some of those closed hours cleaning. Does have some beautiful tile work inside and out but that can’t fix the food or make the place clean. Very nice people and I really hate to give a really bad review but just can’t do anything else. Hopefully they’ll read this and do something to fix the food and do a bit of cleaning. Doubt we will ever be back but ya never know. I sure hope things get lined out as they are very nice people.

Awful! I went in just for a pearl drink(boba) and it was the worst thing I’ve ever had. I waited 10+ minutes for a Thai iced tea with boba in it, and when I received it, it was dark red and the boba were hard as rocks. Not to mention, I heard the microwave going and I have no clue what she could have been using the microwave for. I spit the drink out and returned it, when I walked back in she already had my money in her hand. Also, the place was dirty and smelled terrible.

The woman working was nice, food was ok but the wait was forever! We mentioned we were on a road trip and then waited 35 mins for our lunch to be made.

I was in need of caffeine and happened to see this place and thought, perfect – yummy Viatnamese iced coffee! The place was empty, but it was pretty early in the day. I know Viatnamese coffee takes some time with the way it is steeped, but it seemed like I waited a really long time for that and my spring rolls. I heard the microwave going, so that was some cause for alarm, but spring rolls are served cold, so I figured it was for something else the nice lady was«cooking» up. I just hoped it wasn’t the pork being microwaved. I get home to discover that it was the peanut sauce that was microwaved! It had turned into a gross gooey gel of sorts – like sticky, chunky peanut butter that sat out all day! It was unedible and turned off my appetite. I bit into a spring roll stuffed with lettuce anyway to discover that all it had was the lettuce, rice vermicelli and bean sprouts! It should have been listed as a vegetarian spring roll on the scattered menu. I’ve never had spring rolls without pork or at least shrimp, and they usually come with mint, basil and/or cilantro. So I tried to eat a lettuce wrap basically with no dipping sauce. The coffee was OK, but I’ve had way better. I feel bad because the lady was super nice and I can see the potential with the place, but it was really disappointing. I’m not from Red Bluff, so I don’t know what to compare it to, but I’ve had good Viatnamese elsewhere.

The owner is super friendly! She was very curious about me, as I was traveling alone and no one else was in the place on a Wednesday around noon. It was very hot in there. Fortunately I ordered a jackfruit with boba and it cooled me off, though the tapioca was stale and the drink had way too much ice in it. Also had a pork sandwich, which was ok, but not like San Francisco. Still, a nice cheap place to hang out with free wifi. Notably, the owner gave me a HUGE cup of ice water and a free muffin to go, because she liked me I guess! Thank you! She didn’t remember my friend who’d been there before, but said to say hi to him anyway.

Authentic Vietnamese food cooked with pride. Service a bit slow because everthing seemed to be prepared on demand. The result is well worth waiting for, and the entire experience was more like eating at the home of a friend rather than at a commercial establishment. A very nice find in small town Red Bluff.

Words cannot describe what a debacle our dinner was at this little place. Very disapointing as the other two reviews were stellar and I was so excited to find a nice restaraunt locally. Unfortunately I’ll have to keep looking. First off, the menu is unintelligible. We asked our waitress to clarify what constituted an appetizer since the appetizers appeared to be listed in the entrees section and the menu was incomplete. It was our waitresses first night on the job which was fine until we asked for just about anything. Utensils(we were given one fork and one spoon for our whole table), boba in our thai tea etc.(They were out of boba), out of two of the four ice cream flavors(one of which was not listed in the menu). We asked for two dinner special orders and recieved only one to share — which came with one egg roll and one spring roll. However we were still charged for two. Apparently the dinner entrée consisted of Phở(a soup) and a bowl of beef curry(also a soup). It took an hour to get the Phở, the curry was not ready until we were literally leaving so it was packaged to-go. The owner/chef was a nice lady and parts of the meal tasted pretty good but I’ve had better vietnemese food outside of Red Bluff. If you’ve never had vietnemese food then it might be worth trying their sandwiches by prepare for a confusing, potentially frustrating meal. P. S. The ice cream was AMAZING!

This place was incredible; the food, the service, the price and the atmosphere. This is not the typical place that you would expect to find in Red Bluff… I had the curry beef soup and it was delicious. I can not wait to return to try the sandwiches, which look incredible…

If you love baked goods and sandwiches you need to check out saigon bistro. The best in french vietnamese sandwhiches as well as some delicious cookies and muffins. the inside is very modern and cosy. and i was suprised to see they have flavor enhanced red bull drinks. totally awesome, and a better price than anywhere else. their prices are great and worth it. The cute girl who works there makes a delicious pumpking pie tasting cookie with a cream cheese frosting. This place is a breath of fresh air when it comes to food in Red Bluff. GO there and try it, you wont be disappointed
