The food at Juanitos is so delicious and authentic. We ordered the guacamole, chorizo tacos, and beef fajitas. The tacos were cool because they let you choose which kind of sauce you wanted to go with it — and the chorizo was delicious. The meal comes with chips and salsa. Minus one star because I didn’t love the salsa and the fajitas didn’t come with enough tortillas. BYOB!

Went here today with some girl friends for my favorite pregnancy craving… Tacos! Was not disappointed ! Friendly service, just enough attention, not overbearing. The tacos were so amazing I wish I had more! Can’t wait to come back again!

The review was spot on. Hi-five Ara! I came here today to celebrate my spouse’s graduation. I called to make a reservation for 12 adults and 5 children. What I love about this was that there was NOT a problem and the staff was super accommodating…(That was super helpful) This place is BYOB! The is a liquor store around the corner and from the previous reviews, I used cash. The food came out(all dishes) and everything was delicious! We also ordered dessert and it was soooo good. We had a large party so we ordered 1 of each and we all shared. The feel and look here is very authentic.(Which can always be appreciated)

This place has gone down hill. Ordered take out. Beef tacos were dry and flavorless and the soft shells were hard and dry. Beef enchilada was tough and full of grizzle, shrimp mole had no flavor either. What a disappointment.

Holy mole sauce this place continues to get better. I dined in for lunch recently, after getting takeout numerous times. The ceviche was okay, but it was also my first time trying it out. The waitress was super friendly and kind of cute ;) ayyyy. Alright, okay, so the seafood paella was BOMB. I couldn’t believe how much food you got for $ 15. It came with lobster tail, scallops, shrimp, tilapia, clams, mussels, and yellow rice with a nice seafood broth. So. Damn. Delicious.

Food was great BYOB There is a liquor store down the street, but the guy there said cash or DEBIT only, no credit. Is that even allowed? Strange. Cool exposed brick at Juanitos. Friendly staff Tasty food My only complaint was that the combo fajita came with not just onions and peppers, but with cauliflower, broccoli, spinach, and carrots. Weird as hell… but tasty.

Juanito’s has a very special place in my heart. For like 3 or 4 years we had my birthday celebrations here– first off they have a big back room that they let us make reservations for(25 people) ahead of time, and set it up for us. Usually they’re pretty strict with«whole party being present before being seated» but they waive that for larger parties. Big plus, it’s a BYOT(bring your own tequila!) which makes it fantastically wonderful. We usually have reservations for 8:30 and never leave before 11; the waitstaff puts up with us nicely! They completely leave us alone, which is so rare and wonderful. Since our party is so big, they usually bring out 2 – 3 fried ice creams while they sing happy birthday(also so nice)! Food is great! Big portions, so I usually order a «guac» for dinner and share a meal. Just to avoids extra charge; they charge you for sharing. They do a good job of bringing out everyone’s food around the same time.

Overpriced for blah mexican food. My wife always drags me to Juanitos. I always have a stomach ache after eating here. I wish they cooked more authentic mexican food. Try elsewhere if you want good mexican.

Horrible! The drink tasted like dirty dish water and the food had no flavor! Would never so back!

They’re a good place to eat for some quick mexican food. They get rather busy at times and I’m not always sure how ‘fresh’ everything is. It’s always hot but i’m a little worried sometimes in that it tastes a bit like some stuff is prepared from frozen. It’s BYOB. I’d call it a solid place to get some good food but don’t expect it to knock your sox off.

Grew up in sunny San Diego, so I really miss the Mexican foodie experience. My then boyfriend, now husband brought me to Juanito’s on a date and we continue to go from time to time. We usually go on the weekend or for a special occasion. We have been there while it is busy or dead and the great service has remained the same throughout. The staff are very accommodating, asking if we need extra chips or drinks or if our food was good. I have a tendency to order my «usual» bean and cheese burrito, my husband orders something new every time and we share. Every order came out hot and smelling oh so good! Their portions are large, so bring your appetite, and they do not serve alcohol, so bring that too! The only thing that is not large are the drinks, so be prepared to ask for more.

We went to Juanitos before a show at the Count Basie Theatre, and have been dreaming about their Mexican food ever since! The cheese enchilada that came on the veggie combination plate was to die for. Also loved the guacamole even though we did spice it up with some salsa. Service was fairly non-existent, though, but the food is so good it can be overlooked. If I lived in the area, I would want take-out every night.

Very good selection of traditional Mexican cusines. Also, a good variety of other popular entrees. Must ask for the cheese dip not on the menu.

Authentic Mexican food… Definitely have had better but it was all enjoyable! Service was kind of slow but friendly. No tap sodas either.

Juanitos does Mexican staples really well. They start you with homemade tortilla chips(fried flour tortillas) and a homemade salsa that cannot be rivaled. And there is no shame in asking for more, they will happily provide you with another serving. Their taco salad with blackened chicken and chicken quesadillas are great basics that Juanitos does very well. They also do a great soft shell steak taco. I would definitely forego the dessert here and head into Red Bank for some ice cream or baked goods instead.

As a West Coaster, it is hard to find authentic Mexican food. I feel like this place is it. The food is great, I got the Burrito Loco and the meat was cooked exceptionally well. I have no complaints. It is BYOB, it is a relaxed, comfortable environment with attentive staff and great food. I am a big fan and I hope to see some of you there!

We have been meaning to revisit Juanitos after many years of absence and we are happy to report that they do a very decent job here in Red Bank. Starting with their chips and salsa, delicious and then a really good cevechi shared and then Jan opting for camarones w/rice and beans and me viagra sopa(not sure what they mean by that) but it was a delicious seafood soup. Excellent service and a lovely ambience rounded our our dining experience. We like it a lot and will return again soon.

Fresh, yummy, made to order Mexican. When ask to substitute veggies for meat the y were very accommodating. The décor is welcoming and rustic. Would be five stars except for being pricey for Mexican.
