Frank Scaccia, MD

If you are someone who is seeking a surgeon who is meticulous then you need to go to Dr. Scaccia. My dermatologist was emphatic that I have two lesions removed as soon as possible as the biopsy report from the laboratory advised «excision strongly advised» for each specimen. He was located in Teaneck and I realized that not only was it too difficult to get there in a timely manner but also I would prefer to go to a surgeon. Dr. Scaccia’s surgery center is so impeccably clean and organized that I felt as though I had just entered a state of the art medical facility. I have seen it all when it comes to surgery centers and I cringe when I think about how many times I have had surgery in facilities that were lacking to such a degree that one cannot help but wonder if the facility had even been sterilized prior to operations taking place. I would like to also mention that years ago I had been employed by Cardinal Health and I know that it can be very costly to do things «the right way.» When I say this I mean that a lot of disposable sterile protective drapes, etc. are quite costly. Dr. Scaccia did everything the way that one would hope all surgeons would. There is another surgeon in Red Bank who I have been to, while he was very polite his facility lacked tremendously, as did his skill and attention to detail. I will go to Dr. Scaccia in the future and I am thankful for his expertise and professionalism.

We lead such busy lives these days that sometimes we INTEND to send a thank you but never get around to it. After being treated by Dr. Scaccia, there was no way that I couldn’t SEND a thank you. Here it is:

I want to thank you for your generosity, patience, and skill.
You were generous with your time when you opened your office in the middle of the night to treat the dog bite on my face.
You were patient in taking the time to address all of my questions. As you know, it was a very long list. You had a very nervous patient on your hands, who sometimes didn’t hear information the first time. You continued to listen and explain, which I am grateful for.
Last but not least, I wanted to thank you for your skill. Your reputation as a gifted and meticulous surgeon is well-​deserved, as it is clear that you have a careful and methodological approach to perfecting each tiny stitch.
At this time, I’m in the very early stages of healing, and I know I’m in great hands. I know this because on top of being a top surgeon, you are also a generous, patient doctor who listens and reassures.
For all of this, the words «thank you» didn’t seem to do the job. I hope this note expresses the many thanks that are weaved into my GIANT thank you to you, Dr. Scaccia.

I gave the doctor a «real card» and also gave one to nurse Donna. They are exceptional and I am forever grateful.
