I can’t use any other vinegars now. I’m hooked! Sounds weird but use the chocolate vinegar on fruit and save on calories, taste like chocolate syrup and not vinegar when on fruit! A bit on the pricey side and not sure if they are non gmo grapes. That’s the only negative. Wish they offered an organic set of vinegars.

A great spot in every sense of the word. The location is good, the staff is very friendly and helpful, the selection is incredible(and constantly growing) and the ability to sample the various flavors has definitely caused me to buy more than I originally intended to. I first learned about them a number of years ago when they were a stand at the Bryant Park Christmas Shoppes and since then they’ve grown and even increased their quality. This store is a perfect example. We stopped in to re-fill our stock and were quickly greeted and shown the new flavors they recently got, along with the other products. They have a great selection of oils and balsamics, but I’ve gotta say, the Truffle Oil is hands down my favorite. The prices are fairly reasonable for a specialty product and they’ve got something for any flavor pallet.

I don’t think this place is entirely deserving of a four, but I bumped it up because in the end, their product was pretty good. I just want to say that the staff was not extremely helpful or friendly. It was two young girls chatting away and on their cellphones which made for an environment where if you needed to ask a question, you felt like YOU were bothering the staff which in a store where you may need some guidance, isn’t entirely the best scenario. Anyway, the store is pretty cute itself. There are a lot of selections. I wish that you could make your own gift basket, though rather than the pre-made ones but I guess you could switch things around. The notes on the different oils and vinegars tell you which oil or vinegar it pairs best with and which foods it pairs best with as well. You are also allowed to taste test each flavor either on its own or with bread. I wish the store had more bread and cracker options for dipping, but their overall«other» treats and gifts were okay. I would give the olive oil section an A, but the balsamic vinegar section a B-. Some of the flavors were really infused and intense and kind of room away from the inherent flavor of the balsamic vinegar, but I guess if you used it in the correct way it would be different. Needless to say, the regular balsamic vinegar was amazing — a great level of acidity and on the thick side. The Persian Lime and Garlic Olive Oil were the best and I would definitely recommend. Stop by the cheese and spice shop across the street and you have yourself a perfect little picnic set!

What is not to like about a place that has dozens of different flavors of olive oil to taste??? We found this place yesterday and they had a sale going on that was augmented by a $ 5 discount being offered by AMEX through Foursquare. How could we resist? Beautiful store, well laid out with a lot more than just olive oil for sale. We tried many variations but settled on the Meyer Lemon variety. Prices are not bad and we’ll come back if the oil we purchased lives up to our expectations.
