Disappointed. You expect Chinese food to be salty but this was overboard. The boneless spareribs we dry and overcooked. Other food was average at best. Drinks were very good.

okay guuurrllll lemme tell you. susan here hunny and there are roaches mama. me and my baby daddy got takeout from this wong ton a couple days ago. When Tyrone got home i opened up the takeout container to find roaches. Let’s just say that lowmane packed a punch sister! I didn’t bring it back bcuz i live 25 minutes away and was starving from my day at planned parenthood. other than that me and tyrone really coneccted over the sushi pizza girl and that’s why i’m giving it a five star rating.

Too much going on in their menu. Everything was similar to each other. The food tasted a little plain to me.

I went here last night for the first time, we had heard from multiple people that the sushi was quite good. Well, in my opinion, the sushi was awful, and so was the General Gau’s chicken. The sushi was the consistency of bubble gum, with the rice feeling wet and the seaweed feeling chewy. The General Gau’s chicken was chewy and fatty. The bartenders were great, very on point, but even the Saporo beer tasted flat. The service is good, the food is not.

Worst food of my life. Service was fine. Food was disgusting. Sushi terrible… if I survive the night without getting sick, consider me a Lottery winner.

I used to love this place. Then it started going down hill, often over serving the regulars beyond belief. Ive seen some ridiculous things happen here including a bartender stealing things from her other job at Starbucks and feeding these items to the people at the bar. Ive heard the over served people use slurs and awful remarks towards other guests, hitting on women in a disgusting fashion, racist remarks to other guests, yet the drinks still keep coming. I will not be back. I wish this issue was taken care of because they have one excellent bartender(jason? Justin?) and the food is very good.

My go-to spot. A very modern and fun environment whether sitting at the bar or dining at a table. I highly recommend all of their specialty sushi… My favorite is the high protein roll and snow mountain. Awesome drinks and raw bar as well!

Food is good, atmosphere is warm and really like the drinks. Very busy on weekends and can be a wait. Prices are a little higher than other Asian food restaurants.

Love Oyes. Everything has always been fresh, whether we take out or eat in. Great atmosphere and décor inside. Service has always been great too! It will remain in our rotation for Chinese restaurants. They have a gluten free menu as well. The gf general gau chicken tastes identical to the regular!

Basic sushi and American Chinese food. Nothing different, creative or tasty to write home about, I had a dish of over priced Orange Chicken $ 16 and $ 2 more for rice. Actually Panda Express fast food has better Orange chicken. And they are a fast food chain at most airports and strip malls. Cocktails looked good but I did not try because they were too expensive. On a positive note no wait and nice clean new restaurant space. I have been to Hong Kong and China so I know what Chinese food could be. Also I have lived in a major metropolitan city that has a China town and hundreds of authentic Chinese restaurants.,

Went here last night for dinner and had an excellent experience. The host wasn’t at the desk when we arrived, but a waiter came right over and sat us. The atmosphere is nice, more formal then I had thought, but there were families there and young kids — the bar looked like a nice place to sit as well. Our waiter was very attentive and very sweet so I’m not sure what the other reviews are talking about. We even had a different waiter come over to refill water and clear plates, ask us if we wanted more drinks. The food was excellent. We ordered the Peking Ravioli to start which was perfect and came with ample sauce for dipping. Then we got a crispy spicy tuna roll(we asked for it without asparagus and they were happy to accommodate) and the California roll and both were perfect. They also have a full Chinese and Japanese menu so we ordered the General Gau’s chicken and an order of fried rice. Huge portions and excellent. The chicken was perfect crispy on the outside, lots of sauce, very flavorful. The fried rice was a huge portion and had lots of fixin’s in it. By the time we left(tuesday night) at 8pm, the dining room was pleasantly busy, but no one had to wait for an open table. Overall we had an excellent experience at Oye’s and will definitely be back.

I love Oye’s! My boyfriend and I have lived in Reading for just over 6 months and we’ve either eaten in the restaurant or gotten take out probably more than 30 times. GLUTENFREEMENU! I have celiac disease, and Oye’s is the first place I’ve been able to safely eat Chinese food since I was diagnosed. They have great selections and the food is amazing. My boyfriend is a huge fan of the sushi, and we both love the Mai Tai’s. I definitely recommend Oye’s to anyone looking for a great Chinese restaurant in Reading!

Been here a few times, both on dates and in a group. Haven’t had a bad dish yet, sushi(oh so tasty!), sashimi(super fresh and gorgeous presentation), or traditional Chinese. Service was prompt and friendly at the bar(dates); also good at our table of 6. I crave this place sometimes.

Been to more than my share of fusion restaurants. Around the world. This one stands out as being the best outside of Boston for Sushi and their main menu. They have a great bar. Bartenders get to know your name. Owners Kevin and Karen are always here greeting patrons. Food is fab and fresh. Sushi is awesome. Fresh. Delivered daily. Need reservations for Thursday– Saturday. A bit noisy. Peeps having a good time I guess. You won’t be disappointed at all and like will come back when in the area. Do it!

Pros: Some of the best sushi out there. They have a great variety. They also have a hybrid menu for Chinese food. Great crab Rangoon, chicken fingers with duck sauce. The drinks are strong here, try the zombie… Cons: it’s always pretty busy, some of the seats are pretty close in obvious attempts to maximize seating. It’s also a bit pricy, but it’s definitely worth it.

Awful! I’m actually leaving angry… And I’m never angry after eating! No one greeted us or asked if we’d like a table, so we settled for a bar seat ourselves… Eventually had the menu shown to us, with a blunt pencil for our sushi menu, which wasn’t great for writing. But that’s not the point.(Get it…) Ordered some edamame to start, and a couple speciality rolls — and 2 normal maki rolls. We ordered a bottled beer which came with a smashed glass rim. It was all very average. The rolls were, fine, and fresh enough… But so’s sushi from Market Basket. The speciality rolls kinda warm.(It was a spicy tuna and salmon thing… So not really as it should be.) I don’t remember the names… There’s no point when you’re not going back. The atmosphere has that of a bad sports bar, with a bad atmosphere. And average sushi menu. On the wait out, the same amount of acknowledgment of our presence was given… Nothing, not even a look up from or whatever website the manager seemed stuck into. May as well never bother with this place… It’s just not good, for anything. Oh — how was the edamame you ask? It never arrived… 2 stars. Because at least the sushi turned up.

Admittedly, I’m not sure that this place claims to be great at Thai food. But this was the worst Pad Thai I’ve ever had. The noodles were white and sauceless(almost like plain spaghetti), the chicken was again sauceless and dry. The whole dish was just flavorless and bland. I am a big fan of Pad Thai — I’ve had it all over the US and in Asia… This truly was the worst I’ve had. 3 stars because the ambiance and service are good.

The sushi is the best outside of Boston. The menu is varied and great. Nothing comes close in this area. Do yourself a favor. Stop in. You’ll be pleasantly surprised.
