I drive by this place everyday after work to get home. I’m glad that I gave this place a try tonight. I ordered a triple bypass (double ½lb burger). When I called in my order, I asked for an extra side order of fries, but the person who took my order told me that the burger comes with quite a lot of fries. Thank god I listened to him because the box was stuffed with fries. They had to tape the lid down! The burger was big and juicy! The fries were perfectly seasoned. I need to go back and discover more of their menu.

I think hands-​down the best pizza in town. Year after year they’ve been very consistent in their level of products and services. There thin crust pepperoni pizza reminds me of old-​school New York pizza! Great crispy edges a little extra sauce and extra pepperoni.

Ordered Pizza with mushroom and olives. Sauce flavorless. Crust good. Cheese good. The sauce is gross. I split it with my friend 20 buckes each for large pizza and small calzone. They only give you one blue cheese with a calzone. Not nearly enought. I had most of my half left and threw it in the trash. I rarely do this but this food was gross. Edible but nothing to desire.

We order delivery often, Food is fresh and comes quickly. One of the better fast food places in the area. Pizza is in the top 10% of what we’ve had. Delivery guys are courtious. Burger’s are good too.

Colombos, I don’t get a variety of things from here. Usually just a calzone. It is very good, a 60% cheese to meat bread ratio. Which is great, because who doesn’t love the heart slowing, delectable taste of chheeeeeeeeese. The staff is always very nice, and they are always glad to replace your order if they mess up. The only reason I couldn’t give another star or two is because I simply don’t experiment enough here.

Used to like Colombos just fine. Was always a bit salty, but I never minded that!
Unfortunately, our last experience (and first one in a while) was very disappointing. Ordered a large and a small pizza. On both pizzas, with different types of toppings, toppings were not spread evenly, and were clumped in varoius places, leaving some slices very unbalanced or rather bare and other parts of other slices extra chunky. There was nearly no ham on the Hawaiian pizza, and the bottom of it was burned throughout.
In addition, combined with recent price increases (that seem to be high compared to competitors) make this the worst pizza experience I’ve had for a while.
On the plus side, the staff and owner, were friendly and upbeat. Unfortunately, that won’t be enough to bring us back anytime soon.

I love this place. A large gives you huge slices, the sauce is flavorful and delicious. The only downside is the vegetable pizza gets soggy so next time I’ll stick with a cheese pizza. I got home bbq wings which were to die for. I order delivery so I can report that I always get my food hot. I live in Wakefield, and though they are 2 cities over they deliver…

Pizza was very unappetizing. Nothing great. Dug into it within 5 minutes of it arriving and it was cold. LOADED with more grease than cheese. The bacon on the pizza… just awful. Huge pieces of bacon pretty much transparent fat squares I would call them. The salad had more shredded onions than lettuce. Won’t be returning. Bring back Joe!!!

I ordered Stuffed Shells with meat sauce for 11 dollars and what I received from Colombo’s was appalling. I fished through the large container I was given to find 4 shells and the rest was meat, oily sauce, melted cheese and a majority of ricotta that was supposed to be inside the shells.
I have never gone back to a restaurant with a walk out order but this warranted the drive. To be fair, the man behind the register looked at what I had brought back after I finished the shells, and profusely apologized, which I appreciated. I did receive my money back, but even so, the quality of this food for the people that order it out had to be reviewed.
So disappointing. Looks like I need a new spot for Italian food.

The best calzones I’ve ever had! I highly recommend the buffalo chicken and the steak and cheese. Hearty helpings, jam-​packed with flavor. These guys really know what they’re doing, and you can tell that they have put a lot of effort into perfecting their recipes.
The pizza is also superb! Strong, delicious flavor, and authentically Italian.
The prices are very reasonable, and the staff is friendly. Good for ordering or for sitting inside, where there’s a classic Italian-​American feel.

Coming from NYC, I had an opportunity to enjoy some delicious pizzas. I searched awhile in the Boston region for something of that caliber and I believe I found it. I have been coming to this place for over a year now and have never had a bad meal. They stick to a typical pizza menu that you can find anywhere. Their execution however is what makes this pizzeria really stand out. Both their pizzas and calzones are loaded with flavor and you can tell this is prepared and cooked by someone who knows what a proper balance of ingredients should be. Traditional ingredients but with a punch of flavor packed in each bite.
Appetizers are very good, prices are more then fair, and the ‘zas are always outstanding. I am very glad to have this small restaurant in our community. Quick and delicious every time.

We used to go there and stopped going few years ago only because we find their pizza way too salty and soupy. The chicken wings never had enough sauce. Always dry and not that spicy. Pasta dishes were excellent but salty. The chicken in their various dishes was always overlooked and dry. Nice people nice place. I may visit again and see if there’s improvement.

Friendly service, top quality, reasonable prices, these are all things that describe Colombo’s.
I just moved back to Reading from Southern California. The pizza offerings in that region mainly consisted of chain restaurant crap like «Papa Johns»…yuck. So, yes the Winter weather sucks, but with great food at Colombo’s it makes living here more bearable.
The pizza is New York style thin crust, and is delicious. They are always generous with the ingredients and the sauce is delicious. If you are a fan of cheese, ask for extra as they do go a little light on that key ingredient. I highly recommend their calzones as well. The small size is easily enough to feed 3 people, and comes in at under $ 12.
I have tried a few other local establishments, and Colombo’s easily comes in on top! Try it soon, you won’t be disappointed.

Pretty much your standard southern New England sub and pizza joint, located near the rail depot just outside Reading center.
The most startling thing about the place is that there is no menu over the counter. If you ask, you’ll be directed to printed menus nearby.
I decided to roll the dice and ask for the best vegetarian option and was quickly served up a hot veggie sub with American cheese. Rather than being loaded with filler lettuce, the sub had a good mix of vegetables and was topped with chunky/​saucy tomatoes. Unique and delicious.
Definitely worth a look if you are in the area!
