I come to Wayne whenever I get my hair done, and my hair stylist recommended Anthony’s. I am so glad he did because the food here is nothing short of amazing! I ordered a meatball sandwich on flatbread and it was so delicious. The service was good and the restaurant itself was very clean. I will definitely be coming back in the future because my whole family and I were raving about the food on our ride home.

I come to PA usually around once a year. Upon my 4th trip out I once again made a stop here. I get the same thing every time, the philly cheesesteak pizza with a beer or two. Always outstanding service at the bar. I usually sit there since I’m alone. I enjoy it so much I’m making a 2nd trip in 1 week there tonight to cap off my trip right.

We had been to Anthony’s pizza in the past and enjoyed the food very much. However, on our return trip in December, we have decided NOT to return. Why? Terrible service! We were seated immediately, the place was practically empty, we were NEVER waited on! Two more parties were seated after us, they were immediately waited on, had their drinks right away. We sat and sat, waitresses passed us by, never stopping. After 15 minutes we got up and left! We explained why we were leaving to the hostess, she didn’t really seem to care. We won’t be back!

Without a doubt, the best pizza, wings and craft beer in Berks County. Service is always good.

I’ve gone to Anthony’s several times since they’ve opened. I’ve always been impressed with their service and food. They’re very knowledgable on their menu and can help you pick a great meal! When my fiancé and I sit at the bar we always have great service. They offer a decent amount of craft beers and mixed drinks. The sangria is phenomenal! The food is delicious! The pizza is well done. It has a thin crust, which is good! Their wings are a must try! They’re so unique and different than any other wings I have had. They are served with caramelized onions. They’re baked with different Italian seasonings. They don’t have sauce on them, which makes for a clean eat. There are only two downfalls but that doesn’t keep it from getting 5 stars. The parking can be a bit of a pain, but they can’t control that. It’s located in a strip mall with several other food and service places. The other one is that the pizza can get pricey when you start adding a bunch of stuff to it.

Recently placed a large catering order to be picked up this past weekend. Upon arrival, there was no order placed in the system. The manager was extremely apologetic and admitted total fault. She had her kitchen staff immediately prepare the order which was ready in under 30 minutes. We all make mistakes, and this manager did everything necessary to make up for it. I am impressed with the professionalism of this place and the staff that works here. The food was amazing as always and I will definitely return to.

My friend urged me on to try the cauli pizza, so I was *game*(hoho) despite my normal aversion to sports bars. When I called to check on ingredients, the very sweet manager told me they would be happy to use my non-dairy Daiya cheese for this pizza if I supplied it – her idea! So I brought a whole bag and ordered two pizzas, one to eat there, and one to take home for a very happy spouse who immediately got into the box. Delicious! Love the ample cauliflower crowding the thin crisp crust — looks like they use a whole head on each pie, and you know that cauliflower is not cheap these days. We also got the broccoli rabe without the meat, delicious too and a large family-style side dish enough for 3 – 4(good thrown over the pizza too). They had good beers and were very kind about accommodations. It was fall, so the tvs were very loud, so much so that we could not talk easily inside. So we were able to switch to outside and had a great time there since it was warm out. I will be back with more vegan friends for some of this pizza. Crust has no egg or dairy, but make sure to skip the bread crumbs since those do have cheese in them. They are Progresso brand. I was so jonesing for the cauliflower that I did not notice there there is also an eggplant pizza. Will check that out next time.

Food is pretty good, craft beer selection is pretty good, the service was great. The bartender was very well versed on both the menu and all of the beers on tap. Would recommend if in the area.

Excellent pizza and wings. If I had to choose just one to order, it would definitely be the wings though. The coal-fired and onion slathered wings are unique and delicious! But why choose?!? … decent beer selection as well

We find Anthony’s to be far superior to your average pizza. The meatball & ricotta is our constant favorite. The ingredients are fresh, the crispy crust is delish & the outdoor seating is very inviting. Definitely worth the drive for a relaxing meal.

So happy I decided to check this place out last night. Great pizza, unique but amazing grilled wings, great atmosphere. Bartenders were friendly and the live music was the cherry on the top. Good place to get a good beer and some great food. Definitely coming back any time I come to the area.

Came in last week for a late dinner. We ordered a large pizza, half sausage and half plain along with a small salad. The salad is family sized so the small is good to split between two people. When the pizza came out, the waitress let us know right away that the kitchen accidentally read the ticket wrong and made a whole sausage pizza. So they gave us the whole sausage pizza and in less than ten minutes we also got a whole plain pizza at no extra charge. Some places might have acted like we made a mistake ordering, but that wasn’t the case here. Management definitely taught their staff how to solve problems and keep customers happy. Both of the pizzas were great, will be back :)

I must say, for a pizza joint, this place has quite the selection of craft beers. The official website touts that servers are trained to be able to suggest beer pairings for each dish. Beer sommeliers at a chain pizzeria? I’ve got to admit, that’s pretty impressive! The pizza itself has a nice, crisp crust with hot, gooey cheese. Toppings are incorporated nicely. Each pie comes out on a pizza stone to keep it warm throughout the course of the meal. As for the wings — well, they’re certainly unique. There is no assortment of flavors. You just say, «I’ll have the wings,» and they come dusted with some Italian seasoning. But what makes them stand out is the fact that they’re served with sauteed onions on top. So yeah, try to picture this. There are two pieces of flat bread on the bottom of the plate. About eight medium-sized wings are placed on top of the bread. On top of that is a layer of sauteed onions. It’s garnished with parsley(no bleu cheese of ranch for dipping here!), and it comes with an enormous pair of tongs that seem just a tad gratuitous. It truly is bizarre. The tables here are WAY too close to each other. You’re right on top of your neighbor, so everyone’s conversation in the vicinity becomes your business, whether you like it or not. One final note — it’s a record breaking winter for low temperatures. I’m not sure why one of the hostesses was propping the door open when there was nobody entering or leaving. There’s nothing like trying to eat a nice, warm meal … and subsequently being smacked in the face by a sub-zero degree arctic wind. EDIT: Ok. I wasn’t going to post a picture of the wings because it came out blurry, but I’m going to post it anyways. See for yourself. Tell me, have you ever seen wings plated like that before? Not that it’s a bad thing… it’s just… different.

So as per our usual, the wife and I decided to head out and try something new for dinner. We had heard good things about Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza since it’s opening, but haven’t made time. Tonight that changes. We arrived around 6 p.m. with intentions of getting a pie to go. We were greeted by a warm and outgoing young lady who opened the door, answered our questions and directed us down to the take out counter. While heading back, we observed the environment: families, friends, gathered over tightly-packed tables in a single large room. There seemed to be ample service to these tables, and there were an additional two employees behind the counter at the bar. TV’s were adequate, but not overwhelming. Lighting was dim, but enough to see what you needed. Bar offered numerous microbrews on tap, so no knock there either. The woman at the take out counter was just as welcoming as the hostess. She took our order, even chiming in when we were having a discussion with an answer that made everyone happy. Order was placed, we went to the seating area. Seating was comfy and the wait wasn’t long. We headed back home with our pie and it wasn’t long before it was finished. We had a specialty meat-lovers pie on one side with a simple white sauce and cheese on the other. It was very tasty, but there was little to no crust. This is a personal preference and certainly not a knock because it appears to be the Anthony’s Coal Fired way. The taste itself was still quite good. Overall I would absolutely eat here again. The staff was friendly and the food was good. I’ve paid about the same for Papa Johns and gotten a lot less.

I’ve been here just once. Tried one of their pizza. And for the price they were charging, I was expecting to be swept off my feet. Sadly though, it was just like any other pizza of this type. We were confused regarding whether if this was a sports bar or a sit down restaurant. Too noisy for a sit down restaurant. not enough stools for a bar. In either case, my wife and I decided we’d much rather drive down to philly next time cause it’d end up costing us the same for a better quality pizza.

We’ve been twice. Great atmosphere and helpful staff! Appreciate that they have Stoudt’s on tap. The food is okay. I guess my idea of a family salad included cheese … not a $ 3 quarter cup of shredded mozzarella. I love salad and even a basic salad needs love. Pizza is crispy but a slight bunt crust is there thing. If that’s your thing then you’ll love it!

My wife and I have been to this location twice, neither time was the food worth our drive from the Allentown area. The pizza is just ok, sadly the coal fired oven is clearly wasted on standard pizzeria ingredients versus true Neapolitan style pizza. The wings are slightly above average though, so if you go, I’d lean towards them. Based on my 2 experiences here, we will not be returning.

I have never experienced a pizza so delightful as coal fired pizza. Here was my first time ever trying this oven style. The pizza here is so good. It makes me want to come back daily. Even a plain cheese is a savory treat. The salads are delicious here as well especially because they add chickpeas on top. The atmosphere is a little bit darker which is a good effect. There is wait service at the door and if they are available, they will open the door for you. They make a great martini as well as offer a craft beer selection. They usually list specials on the chalkboard behind the bar.
