Ridgewood Barber Shop

My first visit was with Harry whom I found out later had retired and only came in and cut hair as needed. Harry gave me one of the best hair cuts including a real shaving cream and razor trim around the ears and neck. He trimmed my nose, eyebrows and sideburns. He did an excellent job.
My next visit Harry was not working. I got Deans chair in the back corner. I’ve never seen a barber who couldn’t carry on a simple conversation but this guy was a cold fish.
He began cutting my hair and next thing I knew he had a vacuum cleaner hose attached to his razor and it was now right in my ear. How unpleasant and noisey it was. My first thought was of the Flowbee commercials. When he was done with the hair in 3 minutes I asked is he could take a razor to my neck and ears. So he fired up the electric he was using and proceeded to cut the neck line again. Nothing like the Senior Professional Barber Harry did on my previous visit.
Needless to say I went months with out a haircut until I found another barber. If I wanted a vacuum cleaner in my ear I’d have gone to one of the mass marketed chain barber stores. I was very disappointed Harry was gone as I’m certain others were.
If you want a flowbee haircut save a few dollars and find a chain barber shop because that’s what Ridgeview Barbershop has gone too today.
So the older reviews were from the era when Harry was still there giving razor cuts in a mans barber shop. Now its just another chain barber shop, get em in, get em out.
Needless to say I won’t be back.

Man, Dean and Pete are old school and Boss to the max! Trust me they still rock the razor and cut it super clean, if you get spoken over once don’t be a baby and say you had bad service. Next time you might need to hit up the salon!!! Lol

Rude customer service… idk wtf the last guy commented that they give razor fade and when I called they said no and hung up the phone… damn a$$hole

Pete & Dean have a great old fashion barber shop. This place beats the heck out of places like SportClips with their flowbee haircuts. These guys give real man haircuts and even still use a straight razor.
