In October, 2015, Jacob Kurtz«replaced» my refrigerator’s broken control board with the same broken control board, which he had attempted to repair using super-glue(as attested by my second repair man, who fixed Mr. Kurtz’s «repair-job» in less than 30 minutes). Mr. Kurtz charged me full price, plus a large weekend service-call fee. When it broke again within 5 weeks, I called him. Mr Kurtz gave me the run-around, telling me to «press really hard on the switch,» and that he would call me back to tell me when he could be in my neighborhood again. Mr Kurtz never called back. I contacted The Better Business Bureau, who filed my complaint with him. Mr. Kurtz responded to The Better Business Bureau by demanding that I do three things and then he would reimburse me. I complied with his demand more than three weeks ago(as of Jan 16, 2016), but I have not received any compensation from Mr Kurtz — not even a phone call. In addition to being a «shady» repair man, this dishonest person, who was not even honest with The Better Business Bureau, is a disgrace to his profession. Channel 13’s Investigation Team will be my next contact!

Avoid this guy. Broke a part of our range while«fixiing» it. Combative and a little scary when challenged(politely) that the problem was caused by him pouring water into the oven to clean under the burners. Most people would have a reasonable debate and maybe settle on some reasonable outcome — instead aggressive with my wife, left saying he needed to get a part, and never returned after charging me $ 125. Quite frankly prefer not to have him back anyway. Cost me another $ 150 to fix what he broke. Stay clear.
