Z’mariks Noodle Cafe

I was really disappointed today. I’ve never eaten here before and was excited for something different. The tomato and red pepper bisque was really good, but I was looking forward to the «fresh bread» as well. I’m pretty sure it was fresh a week ago. It was dry and crumbly. Yuck. The girl taking my order was also rude… apparently because I was a woman dining alone. Very strange.

Good atmosphere, one of the few fast casual places to eat in rapid city and the only one sporting noodles! I usually get the macs or the pesto.

Meh – I’ve tried this place twice now and don’t think I’ll be returning. Very bland, very boring food. There is nothing here you could not make at home – much better. Skip this place – save your money. If a Noodles & Co ever opens – run from Z’mariks to Noodles – much, much better.

Poor service and the food was mediocre at best. Have tried this place now three times and it struck out.

If a date took me here I might punch them in the face, but it’s not bad for a cheap «fast food» option if you don’t feel like cooking.
I feel like their spicy Asian dishes are pretty good considering the price, but I am unimpressed with the famous Mac and Cheese. If you have simple tastes you probably won’t mind. This place would be good for people who work out a lot, who do manual labor, or don’t mind lots of extra calories in their pasta.
I got the pesto for about 5.50 since it was Mac Monday, but was disappointed in the amount of oil filling my Mac and cheese container. It was almost inedible because there was about a cup of green oil in there almost like a pool. The server warned me that it was a large portion and was really rich, but I was thinking «well yeah, Mac and cheese is pretty fatty.» The pesto didn’t seem to have much flavor and seemed mostly consisting of what I hope was at least Olive oil. Could benefit from adding salt, pepper, roasted garlic and toasting the pine nuts to add more flavor.
As is it’s kind of gross. If they had higher prices, I would be complaining a lot more. However, I got about 4 meals worth of Mac, and once I get the oil slick out of there somehow and add more pasta/​veggies It might be more around 6. So that is a bonus for me (I’m broke).
The servers were friendly and efficient and the place was clean. Wish they had veggie noodles (like zucchini) and even more healthy options. Honestly since we don’t have much variety here I’m OK with this place.

Biggest disappointment ever! I was hoping a noodle joint would make their own pasta, the truth is, no they don’t. I watched a manager come inside with big bags full of pasta boxes. I mean if I am going to pay $ 8 for a pasta dish I will buy the same pasta at the store and actually use a good tasting sauce. The pasta dish I had left a terrible taste in my mouth. I will never waste my money at Z’mariks again!
