This fast food Chinese-American slop fest actually used to be one of the better Chinamerican take out spots. I’ve lived out of the area for several years and haven’t kept up with local business ownership changes. Today, this place is a frightening festival of arguing employees/owners or possibly husband and wife. I don’t need to suffer from the domestic disputes of unhappy owners while waiting for really lousy food. The food is hideous. If anyone can overcook, undercook, overcook, or otherwise ruin food then, you’ll find these folks are overqualified and exceed your wildest expectations. This is a definite do not return(DNR).

Ordered lunch here couple weeks ago. Shrimp fried rice and crispy beef. Rice was brown goo that would stuck together in a blob with nothing else in it. No vegetables no shrimp and no flavor. Beef was cut up and small amount with same brown non flavor sauce. Pretty hard to make food that bad. Do not recommend this place. Shame as owners are local to Randolph.

This is my go to Chinese in the area. Best is their wontons and wonton soup. Egg rolls are always super crispy. The shrimp rolls are awesome. The egg based dishes like egg drop soup and shrimp with lobster sauce are little thicker with egg whites than I prefer. Very quick and I like that their kitchen is so open.

The food here is really good, one of my favorite Chinese restaurants. They are extremely quick, the food tastes fresh, and it’s very reasonably priced. We eat here almost every week, sometimes multiple times. We always do takeout, I don’t recommend it for a dine-in place.

Ordered a take out order. Asked lady at the counter to repeat the order because they never get it right. Upon pick up she was very sarcastic and rude. I asked her she was very rude and she called me very white. WTF? So rude and racist. Do not recommend. girl behind the counter is not courteous. The food was not very good either. Have had much better take out

This place is disgusting. The first time I went, there was a giant string of hair stuck in the egg in my egg drop soup. Years later I decided to give it a second try… The second time, one of the chef’s sons was sitting at a table(where people were eating!), picking his toenails!!! The chefs don’t bother with gloves or hair nets. It is the LEAST sanitary place I have ever been. DISGUSTING!

Food is horrible. I ordered spare ribs and they kept taking them out of the oven to cut into to see if they were done. By the time they gave them to me they were shredded. Didn’t matter because they tasted awful anyway. The other dishes were just as bad

If someone could prove to me that the meat in the«chicken and broccoli» I ordered was really chicken, I’d up my rating to 2 stars… but that’s about it. What was that mystery meat? It was very fatty, limp like and kind of slimy. Definitely not the texture of chicken. After a few bites we threw it out as we had no idea what we were eating. Flavor was just okay. Can’t bring myself to order from here anymore. It’s just too inconsistent and now I don’t know what meat is being substituted for chicken. Kinda scary.

For an area that really lacks a good variety of food. Hunan Wok definitely lacks taste and quality. Don’t waste your money.

I got out of work late. And this location was closer to work versus a place near home in Dover that has great Chinese food. I opted for convenience and many many years ago when I lived here in Mt Freedom the food here was great. Well they have obviously changed cooks and management. I ordered a large chicken and broc and fried dumplings. Almost came to $ 20, that is alot I think. The chicken and broccoli was very greasy. Strange texture and had no flavor. And the dumplings appeared to have been over cooked. I saw them make the cook throw them back in when they were done. He thought I wanted steamed I guess. The color of the inside dumpling looked very dark than the meat color I normally see in there. Very unpleasant experience. I will not be returning, ever. But the staff was very friendly. They just need better cooks.

Basic take out menu and the staff is always friendly. There isn’t many choices here in Randolph. Beware, at times the parking lot is difficult to get out of, Sussex turnpike is busy during dinner hours.

Was craving Chinese pretty late so went for Hunan Wok for the first time. Stuck with chicken and broccoli… that was rough. It’s a very generic and typical takeout dish so I thought it really couldn’t be done badly. Despite the fact that I was incredibly hungry, I didn’t want to finish more than half of it. The chicken seemed to be mysterious with its strange texture. Don’t think I’d give it another shot with so many better options.

It’s your typical MSG-laden, greasy, Americanized Chinese food. Nothing special here. I was never impressed by any of their menu items. Upshot is I’ve never really gotten sick from the food I suppose.

Very good Chinese take-out. I have only gotten pretty basic lo mein, fried rice, soup, or chicken dishes, but they all are tasty. I enjoy the scallion pancake(which I have never been able to find elsewhere). This place remains a staple of my culinary rounds when I am in NJ.
