Solid steakhouse. Came in on a weekday, bar was busy for happy hour. Dining area was empty and was seated immediately. Small dining area, dimly lit but sat at a table near bar area. If you want to get away from bar noise, ask for a table on the opposite end. Order bone-in ribeye, medium. Steak came out perfectly cooked. Juicy and flavorful. Wife ordered prime rib which she thought was good but not great. Wine list is short and settled for house wine which was ok. Sides was garlic mash potato and garden vegetables. Mash potatoes were fine but not a big fan of the veggies. Service was fine and food came out in reasonable time. Solid 4 stars.

Great steak house. And a nice place for a date to. The portions are good for the guys and the drinks are pretty for the girls. The outdoor patio provides a nice entertainment spot as well.

Great steak house. Small and intimate setting. Service has been nothing short of excellent, every time. Tomahawk ribeye is a must! .and don’t you dare order it cooked past medium!

We love coming to this restaurant. It’s like a hidden gem. The ambience is perfect with the live music dim lighting. The booths are surprisingly private the way they wrap around you. The food is to die for. The steak is more than perfect every time we go and so is the rest of the food!

We stopped by the bar after dinner elsewhere for a couple drinks. The female bartender seemed nice, but then served us two watered down flat mixed drinks for ~$ 10/each, then proceeded to camp out at the other end of the bar for the next hour. Left staring at our useless/horrible tasting«cocktails» for the better part of an hour, we finally were able to flag down another bartender to quickly pay and exit the place. Won’t be returning except maybe to try the food someday

Steak was great — cooked the way I ordered it. We were waiting for other people in our party to show up and they didn’t give us a hassle. It was a bit loud in there with music and karaōke but it was fun. The ambience was excellent and dim. Love the giant shrimp cocktails!

I thought I’d give it one more try. This used to be my go to place for large parties at Happy Hour, and occasionally dinner. Last Saturday was my last time. Think has been going down hill since they changed chefs in the summer. The time before last, literally ½ of the happy hour food menu was unavailable and the service was s.l.o.w. So much so we gave up on ordering more drinks and didn’t get all our food. Saturday it was the same issue. We didn’t get all the entrees we ordered, couldn’t find our waitress to get more drinks, and after asking for water 4 times, I gave up on the water. Other than the male waiter with dark hair kind of slicked with gel, the staff was polite but overworked. The male waiter with dark hair was just an ass. This place is UNDERSTAFFED consistently. You will not get all the food you ordered, you will not get to order and receive the drinks you want, and forget about getting water. What I observed were limited staff running their butts off. This is a management problem.

Not impressed. First… As I’m typing, someone in here is smoking. The steaks came out either under cooked if you asked for well, or over cooked when you asked for rare. Sides were excellent… No complaints there. Service was also great. The lemon for my tea looked as if it was cut maybe the day prior. The desserts came out on Home Depot floor tiles. I don’t understand that one and confused on how sanitary that is. I don’t think I’ll be back.

I loveeee Think Prime. Came here in may 2015, I think it was possibly the BEST steak I ever ate, got the rib eye, then shared lobster mac n cheese, and mashed potatoes, which were also GREAT. (that lobster mac n cheese though… TWOTHUMBSUP) I would have gave 5 stars, however, their selection of Draft beer is horrible. I think it was just stella, which don’t get me wrong, went GREAT with the moment, but they really should consider getting some high end beer in there, cuz I just might try to go and spend ALLLMYMONEY, while sitting in the cute patio with the firepits that had cute crystal things in them. The food was delicious, romantic setting, service was good, :) …ADDSOMEGOODBEER. and this place would be a dream come true. Ill be back, to grub!

Small portion and high price I would not go there again. The price was not fair in compare to the quality and its food portion size… The staff were friendly and polite. The place was clean and beautiful. These two stars are only for the place and friendly staff.

Came in last night craving some steak. Ordered the Filet and shared sides which was garlic mash and spinach and mushroom. All were cooked perfectly. Food and service were on par. Will be back. After reading all the reviews about smell and décor of the restaurant… you kinda have to take it for what it is. Was not bad at all. Will be back for sure! Thank you!

My fiancé and I noticed this place one day as we were on one of our driving adventures. He decided to take me to actually try it for my birthday. We were a little confused about where to park when we first arrived. We settled in the parking lot next to it although we thought we saw a no parking sign, but it was raining so we may have been mistaken. The food was delicious I had the prime rib and my fiancé had the t-bone(is called something else on the menu). They were both delicious! Our waitress was awesome. I can’t remember her name, but I remember hey birthday is in June(lol). She made my birthday extra special. This place was really good. I will definitely be coming back here.

4 stars because the food was very good. I had the surf n turf and was cooked to perfection. My husbands prime rib was a bit undercooked and he ended up not eating it and I gave him half of my food. Didn’t realize it was under cooked until we saw it when we got home. The service is lacking a little bit but the music and ambience made up for it. They took us in and accommodated us to celebrate our anniversary, within a few hours. I was able to drop off a cake to have it served. So that was a plus. We will be coming back.

Think Prime is located on Western in San Pedro and is one of, if not the only, high-end steak house in Pedro. My roommates and I go about once a month and really like it. The building is old and they need to run the A/C on hot days but other than that I’m a fan. One of the best happy hour menus in the South Bay, they have a HUGE list of happy hour food items and drinks that are reasonably priced and are actually really good, not skimpy on portions either. Tempura onion ring tower $ 4, hot wings(good portion) $ 6, prime rib sliders are delicious and only $ 6. Steaks are really on point, any one you choose will be a winner, try the filet or the porterhouse on your first trip. Wine selection is great. One of my favorite sides is the sherry mushrooms, roasted red potatoes are also good here. I’ll only let A-1 touch my meat(pun intended), but they have a bunch of sauces to go with your steak and the house sauce is awesome, do it!

Where to start. My parents and I just dined here on a Sunday I really don’t like to be so hard on servers however, I knew that our server wasn’t the best when asked to describe the sauces. My parents hardly eat out at steakhouses and my dad insisted that we help out the non-franchises so we wounded up here. I really wanted them to have a good time. I asked our server to describe the four sauces that you can ask upon request just so my mom could understand what her choices were. The answer was really just a regurgitation of the titles. Oh well. Moving on. The drinks were okay. They have a full bar service. Not a very familiar wine menu but it wasn’t bad. My mom ordered the New York steak which was excellent and both my dad and I ordered the prime steak(12oz if I remember correctly). My dad is a eater, too. He, however, ate a few pieces and couldn’t eat any more. Our steaks were very VERY fatty. It felt like it’d be the type of steak served at Denny’s(if Denny’s served steak?). I asked my dad if he wanted to mention it to the server.(Since I work in the restaurant industry – I know its customers first REGARDLESS of how demanding.) But my dad is too nice and he just said that hopefully, they’d realize what they were serving by seeing how much was sent back.(I don’t think they look or care.) My dad DID mention politely to our server that my mom’s choice of steak was great and that his was not. All our server did was look down at it and say, «aw, I see.» um… Thanks for seeing. Literally. After all the awfulness, my dad cracked a joke(amongst ourselves) and said that at least we had room for dessert. It was my dads birthday and thank God our server overheard that little tidbit. We were offered birthday cheesecake. But we also ordered a crime brûlée, and a lava cake on top. When our desserts came, the cheesecake came way later. Also, desserts are served on tiles. Like, literal floor tiles… I know you’re trying to stand out or be chic or whatever. But obviously we’re eating on floor tiles. My dad didn’t like the concept even though I’m sure others would overlook it. Overall, it was terrible despite my mom’s choice being somewhat good. Our appalling experience with our steak of fat could have been better accommodated with service but that did not happen. Our bill came out to around $ 150 and being that I work for tip and that my parents are nice, we still tipped well. I hope they didn’t mistaken that though.

Another cigar friendly venue, so it pains me to rate this place so low. Here are my reasons: The food is not a great value overall. I found many of the items on the menu seek to command a premium price, but when the item is actually served it is a shadow of what it’s actually suppose to be. The fried calamari tasted like it was sitting under a heat lamp for hours, the Clams in herb broth tasted like it was made from canned ingredients, the shrimp scampi was not bad, but the shrimp was past its prime, tasteless, dehydrated, rubbery. The French bone-in Rib eye wasn’t too bad minus the fact that almost half of my order was rare/uncooked(I ordered it medium rare). I sent it back to the kitchen, but by the time it came back I had already filled myself up on the humongous portion of sides it accompanied. The Rib-eye was not bad when it finally came back, but I lost my appetite just waiting for it the first time and the second time it had to be cooked. The service, however, was the kicker. There was one person serving the entire outside patio of 20+ guests, or even if that wasn’t true and there were more, I only saw one person helping are half of the event and it took her forever to go back and forth from the restaurant to the patio. At one time I asked for 2 glasses of water, because it would take her almost an hour to come back to fill my cup with water. Very distasteful. It’s not that they were short staffed, they had plenty of waiters inside for another event, but they could not spare one more waiter outside? We are customers as well… If they fix the quality of their appetizers and service, this place wouldn’t be a bad spot at all. I love the location and the space they have for cigar smokers. I would definitely come back if things change.
