Dr. Sanders is a very skilled practical chiropractor and was very knowledgeable. I have had a few massages there as well and they were excellant.

I’ve been coming here for over 3 years and I love it. Dr. Sanders is so professional and good at his craft. The massage therapists are professional, polite, and good. I recommend Janet!

I noticed I didn’t give them the correct star rating. As much knowledge as Dr. Sanders has given me and really worked to getting my back strengthened had to update to give them that extra star(which I thought I gave prior) definite stop for anyone in need of help with their body.

This place was nice. I know this will sound crazy, but my husband and I were on a babymoon at Terranea resort but didn’t want to pay $ 400 for a prenatal massage and use of their soaking tubs, etc. So we found this place nearby and were SO glad we did. We did a couple’s package for two, one-hour massages and parafin hand/foot treatments. This included 20 minutes in the hydrotherapy tubs. Heavenly. I was 8 months pregnant so I wasn’t allowed to use the jets and the water wasn’t smokin hot but it was still lovely. The prenatal massage was AMAZING. My husband says his was too. I took off two stars for the following reasons: When I booked, I specifically requested the parafin treatments and asked to book facials too. I was told the esthetician didn’t work weekends. I felt uneasy about the conversation so i called the week before our Sat appointment to confirm and was told a) I had not booked the couples massage, only one(and NOT prenatal) so I had to fix that. Then b) that I did not have the parafin treatments booked. So at that point I again requested facials. I was told that the esthetician did not normally work weekends, but that if I had called a week earlier(I did — two weeks earlier in fact) I could have asked and they would have enough notice to book her. So needless to say, I was PISSED. They were apologetic, but it was a lost cause. Unfortunately, when we arrived for our hydro tub and massages, I again had to say«Um…what abkut the parafin treatments?» And they were like«Huh? Oh… ok…» So they did them, but it was awkward. I would totally go back here if in the area, but will confirm my appointment like 3 different times. The price was right though.

I came here for a chemical peel to lift some scars I got during pregnancy. I have gotten peels before, and was very wary of trying a new place. Nancy completely put my fears to rest and gave me an excellent lunchtime lacto peel. My skin is glowing! It is exactly what I as a new mom needed. Speaking of which, I had told them over the phone that I had no one to care for my 8 week old son and they told me to come in anyways. Of course as soon as we get in there, my son started WAILING! I offered to leave and come back when I could find a sitter. No worries they said. The amazing girl at the front desk came in and rocked my son to sleep while I was getting a peel. They were beyond friendly and understanding and the results were great too!

I had never been there, but I did a bit of research, and took my boyfriend there for his first massage, hoping it would help out with his migrain headaches. The place’s décor leaves a little to be desired, and as usual, a little less clean than we Europeans expect things to be. However, they were well organized and very nice. He had a 20 minute hydro massage, then an all body massage. The massage was very good, and I believe it’s helped with his headache problems significantly. Afterward we spoke with the owner, who is a certified chiropractor. He gave a light spine nutritional machine/chiropractic practice demonstration to my boyfriend and showed me a massages I could do at home to help with my boyfriend’s headache, free of charge. He was very helpful and nice.

This review is for Dr. Eric Lai, who is a Chiropractor and Acupuncturist at Harbor Health and Spa. When it comes to knowing the intricacies of how the human body functions in a neuromuscular fashion, Dr. Lai is second to none. Whenever I come here, I get a full out-of-body experience. Not only do I get treatments through chiropractic adjustments and acupuncture therapy for my chronic migraines and low back pain, there is massage therapy, whirlpool therapy, and physical rehab available as well. I was very impressed at how much equipment was available when I first walked in. I know I’m getting a full dose of the best care available and I feel like a million bucks after leaving the health spa. Since Dr. Lai is licensed in both disciplines, I know I’m receiving the best type of care from his expanded knowledge of the different symptoms and conditions that plague us everyday. Most health insurances including ILWU are accepted there. There is a list of services provided for cash patients at a very reasonable rate. Just call ahead of time.

Don’t be fooled by the appearance of its small size when looking externally from the outside! It is huge! Massages, facials, waxes, yoga and Pilate’s classes, and of course chiropractic and acupuncture treatments are what you will find in this tucked away oasis. Again, don’t judge a book by its cover! Massages are priced at $ 85 — but wait, don’t freak out, you get to use their Hydrotherapy Tub for 20 min. BEFORE your massage. It helps«loosen» up those muscles so that your massage will work better. Did I mention they have 5 different-themed rooms? Pretty cool. I’m not a fan of needles — but Dr. Lai is very gentle and courteous. He knows what he is doing, so relax your mind, and let ancient wizdom/medicine do it’s magic on you.
