An unexpected expenses brought me to sell some of my gold to this Cash for Gold in San Pedro. I had a very comfortable and great experience at this place. I’ve never expected a great customer service in a place like this. The girl there taught me how to test gold. They do everything in front of you and paid me what i hope i would get for my jewelry. I will definitely recommend this place!

I’ve never been to this store but it seems like K.S. just wrote her last will … It is really worth it to write somethingg negative and call people names, specially people you don’t know know, and are only doing their job…

I went here today to sell a gold necklace I had been given. I was planning on melting it down to turn into a ring but when I found out that was not really feasible I figured I would sell it and use the money towards a ring. I saw this new place on the second story of a 3 tiered shopping center where I stop often at the Trader Joes and pet store. Parking free and plentiful midweek and mid day. The place is basically an empty room with a desk at the end. I was at first made very comfortable by the seeming sweet gal working there Griselda I believe her name was. She chatted about this and that. First of all they measured the gold in penny weights-It is NOT as precise as grams because it is a larger measurement but she claimed it was-Smaller measurements are actually more precise TY. Anyhoo, I went in knowing the current gold prices for the 14k piece I had in oz, troy oz and grams but not penny weight-not that it matters it shoulda been about the same. 160 – 180 smackers for the days gold prices and yes I do know how to compute it. And I am very good at math TY. Sweet Griselda offered me 69 bucks to which I laughed. She then said the usual«I want your business» and proceeded to pretend to call a manager to get me a higher price. She wasted my time waiting for me to take her 69 bucks and pretty much would not let me leave plying me with bad mint chocolate-eww and saying we needed to get things done so «I could enjoy my day». No «manager» picked up the phone of course. Finally I escaped with no better price and left my number with her. Her call came into my cell the second I left the store but I was unaware until I got home. My gold was suddenly worth double at 117.00! How about that? I then went online and found a coupon for first time sellers where they give you 20% over the price they quote you. I wonder if they would even honor that on top of the 117 as that would bring the price up to 140 which still gives them 40 dollar profit on one necklace. I decided I did not care. I do not want to deal with this company again. I realize they need to make money but offering me 69-it may have been less now that I think about it on 160 – 190 bucks worth of gold is just wrong. 20% ok even 25% profit is fine. But what they offered me at first was an insult and I don’t give a damn about their claim that they will offer 110% if you bring in writing a better price because I should have been offered the higher price in the first place. Although admittedly I do not know how pawn shops work. Perhaps I should run with the 117 but I still think they are taking advantage of the uneducated and that is wrong. They will probably do quite well in this bad economy. Thankfully I am not that desperate nor uninformed.
