Planned Parenthood Rancho Mirage

The front desk ladies were great, fast and very efficient. This was my first time with PP RM and although I received prompt service, it definitely could have been a lot better. I wasn’t asked for a medical history, or had my weight taken, or even given a pregnancy test (going in for Implant insertion, we are supposed to make sure I’m not already pregnant).
The medical assistant was very nice and explained briefly about the implant but failed to ask me if I needed testing or if I wanted flavored or non flavored lube (friend at same visit was offered all of this).
Finally the nurse practitioner, Crystal came in to do my implant. She didn’t do small talk, she didn’t seem to friendly either, but I guess that’s expected. She explained the process and the insertion was smooth and fast. I didn’t even get post insertion instructions (when to call in case of complications or anything). Finally, I asked for emergency contraception and in a nutshell I was told I was «fat» and it wouldn’t work. I might as well eat a skittle, those were her exact words. However, if you look at PP’s website it says Ella is less effective, but still worth a shot if I were to need it. She denied me the pill and said I should just not have sex for one week. Awesome!
We were out in 1 hour, which was great but they failed to provide excellent service and definitely left me wondering why there is such a big difference from one provider to another. As soon as I get insurance, I will not be coming here, I don’t need to be lied to about EC and made to believe that the research I do is wrong.

This office is the place for all your family planning needs. Always professional, sorry about the shy girl who was «appalled» because medical staff saw her semi naked body. Seriously??? I think some people just need something to whine about. This place is top notch. Staff is friendly smiley and professional. Don’t hesitate to go there, unless you are very uncomfortable with friendly staff seeing you almost naked. Just saying, you’re here for a reason, being shy is probably not one of them ;)

I have been to this center multiple times and have always felt comfortable and have had a good experience. So thankful this place exists.

I had a great experience… I felt very comfortable speaking with the doctor I had & really felt like she had my best interests at heart. Everyone I interacted with was very welcoming & friendly. I will definitely be back :)

So completely unprofessional… as I sit here with my pants off on this table covered by nothing but a sheet of paper, multiple people (NOT MY DOCTOR) have walked in to «grab something», 3 times so far. Are you kidding me?! I’m appalled. No office has ever made me feel more uncomfortable!
