Good food and service and prices. Make sure you’re hungry because the portions are big.

Just had lunch and my bacon burger was big and very tasty. Service was very friendly not to mention handsome lol. I was surprised by how big it was inside. Great place to eat.

Service is a total 5 star here! So friendly, fast and welcoming. Food is priced right and the portions are beyond big. I ordered corned beef hash as was brought an additional side because it all didn’t fit on my plate. Our coffee was warmed up constantly and the banana pancakes were fluffy, moist and delicious! Cook came out to greet us and also the owner. Such a quaint and cute café with a 50’s diner feel to it. A definite gem and we will for sure be back!

Very nice place, service is great and the food is delicious… Brought the kids to enjoy a good meal, and they couldn’t believe the portion size of the plates! LoL Everything on the menu sounds good, I can just imagine what it looks like! Next time we come by, we will be getting something different so I get to try the country fried steak and gravy.

I moved to Ontario a year ago. This was one of the first places where it felt like home. The staff is great, they treat you like family. Breakfast is my favorite, but I also come for Taco Tuesday. Glad you guys are open again.

I got the classic breakfast which consisted of two bacon strips, scrambled eggs and thinly slice potato wedges for about five dollars. It was a large portion and they offer two types of house made salsas. One of them is super spicy, but delicious. There were a lot of regulars which was nice. It shows that people enjoy this place. As much as I enjoyed the ambience and large portion, the flavor was a bit bland for me. It’s still a nice little place.

Johnny O’s is something I drive by all the time and never noticed was there. Unilocal said they had good breakfast so I thought I’d try it out because I love little diners. The parking lot was small but there’s street parking too. When I walked in the place was full and I wasn’t sure if I could seat myself or wait for someone. After a few minutes of looking confused a cute waiter told us to seat ourselves. We had someone take our drink order immediately. The portions of juice are a decent size(about the size of a regular soda) and the water tastes great which is really important! I ordered the French toast 2×2 which was 3 pieces of french toast(cut in half with eggs, bacon and sausage. My sister ordered the Hotcakes 2×2 which was 2 hot cakes, eggs, bacon and sausage. The portions were huge which was unexpected. The 2 hotcakes were the size of small vinyl records and the french toast was a lot. There was a small portion of eggs and I personally would have liked less toast and more eggs. The sausage was delicious. Some restaurants are going toward a chicken apple or italian sausage for breakfast but here they have the real breakfast sausage. To be honest I wasn’t impressed with the quality of the food but it was definitely ok and not hard to eat or anything like that. The price was right also: 2 drinks and 2 large platters of food plus tax was $ 20. The service was ok and efficient because I could see the entire room was taken care of by 3 people which is great to see: hard work and good service. Side note: the two guys working were def hotties! They looked like the cast of Vanderpump rules and I felt like I was having dinner at SUR lol So there’s two reasons to come try this place. I’ll come back when I’m strapped for cash, crave some diner food and looking for some eye candy!

I want to give this place 5 stars and here’s why… We were in the area from Monterey and Unilocaled a place to eat breakfast and this place had some great reviews. So as we sat down and ordered, we realized that we were gonna be late for an appointment. So we asked the lady if they could cancel the order or at least make it to go. She kindly made it to go and gave us the food for free since she felt bad that it took longer than expected. Great customer service! You don’t see that often. Thank you Johnny O’s!

First time my wife and I tried this place and it was the best breakfast we ever had. Love their home fries. Breakfast special was $ 4.99 and it made me say mm mm mm. Our waitress was super nice and helpful. She even went out of her way to look for us outside the diner to give us our daughter’s meal that me and my wife forgot inside. Now that’s love. We’re definitely coming back for more.

My wife and I were craving a big breakfast and wanted to try something new so off we went to Johnny O’s Café. It’s a comfortable and welcoming place, with a very homey-type feel. We were greeted immediately and told to seat ourselves. My wife had the avocado scramble, I had the breakfast special(less than five bucks for two eggs, two sausage, home fries, and biscuits and gravy), and we split a short stack of pancakes. Our coffee was hot and fresh and there was always someone ready to refill our cups. The food itself was plain, bordering on bland, but served in large portions; it all reminded me of Corky’s, where the focus is on quantity, not quality. Nothing we ate was bad, but nothing was memorable, either. We were a bit hesitant coming here due to the reviews about lackluster service, but all of the servers we encountered were terrific. Either they’ve hired new staff or they’re paying attention to their reviews. I love supporting local businesses, so hopefully they’ll continue improving the food while maintaining the excellent service.

3.5 Stars Johnny O’s is located in a small lot on the northwest corner of 8th St and Vineyard Ave. It looks like the building recently had a paint job on the exterior. It also looks like a tiny building from the front, but it’s actually a decent size inside. I believe this used to be a Stevie Dee’s café. Once you enter, you can sit anywhere and there’s menus already at the tables.(It took me and my husband a few minutes to figure this out and we had to ask customers who were already seated. They should put a sign or something to «Seat Yourself») A negative I have to point out was that the service was really slow(probably short staffed). There was only one lady taking orders. We arrived around 8AM on Friday. It took about 5 minutes for our server to get our drink orders. We both ordered an orange juice, a young man dropped off our juice and we were ready to order, but he disappeared in the back. We waited another 15 minutes before our server came back to get our food orders. They should have taken our order once the drinks were dropped off to us. I ordered the French Toast Combo which was listed on the white board and my husband got a turkey sandwich on sourdough bread. Our server seemed inpatient when my husband had a few questions for her about the menu. The food itself was really good. The turkey in the sandwich were thick pieces and tasted like it was smoked.(We asked, but apparently, it isn’t.). My French toast was delicious. Although our server was nice, it took a really long time for her pick up our payment. My husband had to get up and look for her and we waited another 10 minutes for our credit card slip. However, our meal only came out to $ 16.64! We arrived just before 8AM and were leaving at 9:15AM so our breakfast took over an hour. Other than that, we weren’t necessarily in a hurry that morning, but a second person helping out wouldn’t hurt. As we were getting ready to pay, a lady came in(we originally thought she was a customer since she sat down at a table) and she started to help take people’s orders. Overall, food was good but they just need to work on being faster or have more servers. The food itself did not take long to come out, but I calculated we sat around waiting for our server(not food) for a total of 30 minutes throughout our meal.
