Crap, crap, crap. That’s what this bookstore is. When I was last there, they had a wildly incompetent and socially awkward cashier in charge, and because of his incompetence, my transaction was much lengthier than it should have been. In fact, he repeatedly asked his coworker how to do perform simple tasks, like scanning the barcode on my textbooks, and printing my receipt! The hiring manager needs to interview job candidates more thoroughly.

This bookstore is infamous for SNAKING its students. First of all don’t buy your books here, PERIOD!!! They will do anything for you to buy brand new books, want to know how/why? First of all they are expensive. I recommend planning ahead of time and searching for your books online, cheaper books are out there people stop procrastinating and stop being lazy lol. Secondly they’ll straight up lie to you(the employees that roam around pretending to be friendly and courteous by asking you ‘need any help?’) yeah don’t listen to these idiots. They’ll tell you that each new textbook has buyback. When the semester is over and you try returning your $ 100 book for some cash you’ll be lucky to get $ 20 back(literally that’s it, I had one idiot tell me one book was only worth $ 4 and looked at me as if I was lucky to get that). Furthermore, these snakes will sell the returned«buyback» textbook as a used book/rental for $ 70-$ 80 so that the next student will be influenced to just go ahead and buy a new book. Us financially struggling students all want to get cash back and buy our books from our own college bookstore as an honest means of supporting our school right? WRONG! It’s a vicious cycle brah, they’re snakes don’t fall for it. Thirdly, there will be a new edition or a completely different text book version every year, at a minimum! I literally bought a brand new ASL1 book with its DVD. When it was my time for buyback so I could get some cash for it, an underachieving fat body behind the stupid counter in the hallway wouldn’t take it back. They said it was«outdated.» Uh no shit bag it’s not, it was only used for a semester and it’s still in great condition. So I end up selling it through craigslist. I end up getting $ 40 bucks for the«outdated» book from a student that was taking the same teacher that I just took! LOL. sssssSSSSSNAKES!!! In conclusion, everyone involved with the bookstore is a snake in the grass, stay away. Just notice the set up. You buy the text books inside the bookstore; then you return the«buyback» textbooks in the hallway next door to some counter where a random fat lazy terd can easily tell you«NO, SORRYOUTDATED.» This hasn’t been a one time incident for me, this has occurred over a 2 year period when I was attending full time and taking summer classes for my Nursing Pre-reqs. I went through it all and I’m telling you guys the truth. I recommend using AMAZONPRIME or Valorebooks to save you money. You can always find new versions on Amazon prime or cheap rentals/used books from Valorebooks. Most importantly you’ll avoid dealing with these part time goons with no morals or business ethics.

Worst buyback policy EVER! They don’t mind charging a ridiculous $ 100 for one book, but when you no longer need it they only gave me back $ 32! I’m my eyes, that’s STEALING!

My whole purpose for going to the bookstore was to get cash back so I could print out lecture slides for my class. I go in, grab something cheap(I wasn’t hungry and didn’t need school supplies), and head to the counter. She rings me up, asks debit or credit, and tried to hand me a receipt. I reply, «oh, I thought the screen was going to ask me if I wanted cash back,» and she said, «oh no sorry, if you want cash back it will have to be another transaction, you’ll have to buy something else.» No returns. «Do you want to buy something else?» I replied, «No, I didn’t want to buy anything in the first place. I came ONLY for cash back.» Her reply? «Sorry. Do you want your receipt?» Are ya kidding? Amazon books for me now, thanks!

Use amazon for textbooks if you can. Look for used books. Buyback is unfair and a rip off. Aside from that the store is fine. The employees have always been helpful(or suspicious!) It’s clean and organized and I really dig the school apparel. Everything you need is here if you’re willing to pay!

Probably the best community college bookstore anywhere! They have tons of book rentals so you don’t need to pay a ridiculous price for a new book. The clothing they have is stylish and not too expensive, the service is good, and they have a ton of stuff. Maybe the best thing, they have iPad rentals for students.
