BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse

Had Jessica H as our waitress and she was awesome!!! Had the raspberry beer per her recommendations and it was so good. Hubby had the new Ziti pasta and it was really. Food came out hot and promptly and didn’t have to ask for refills once. Great service and food ;)
One tip… maybe have your main hostess (long hair with glasses) not so damn miserable. Before we were seated I noticed people coming in and she didn’t politely greet them or even look up for that matter. You are the first and last impression, it’s ok to smile I promise.

Ordered large pizzokies for delivery to my work. The chocolate chip pizzokie was burned beyond recognition. It looked dark brown, we thought it was the triple chocolate cookie. It was so hard, and tasted like charcoal. Very disappointed!

The food was just meh, luckily we used the bogo coupon otherwise I would have complained. Anyway we ordered the Ahi Poke, it was bland I think it was missing sauce. I got a mozzarella and tomato salad and it was ok, the cheese had no flavor. Then my entrée was the fettuccini and chicken pasta it was very good, I’d probably return just to give them a second chance and I’ll update my review for BJ’s. The server was a little on the strange side when I gave my order she just stared at me blankly and looked as if she did not want to be there, messed up the bill and was apologetic.

Unfortunately, they are understaffed. We waited for appetizers and when arriving turned out our avocado rolls were not hot or fresh. One our plates with avocado rolls were all over and askew, with little garnishing and one roll completely empty. They were also cold and dry. So disappointing, I love their avocado rolls but these were terrible. Then we ordered mini poozookies, and that took a half an hour. After all said and done no apologies, or credit to our bill for lack of quality, timelines, and customer service! I will not go back to this establishment, not worth the time, experience, or money!!! The management need to look into staffing more servers and the chef must have been on a smoke break while our avocado rolls sat under the heat lamp hmm… it really sucked!!!

So Danielle was an awesome waitress! From start too finish she she was extremely attentive! She came too our table the minute we sat down, shes such a good waitress! She really deserves a raise or something cause really she is awesome! She was the best waitress i have ever had by far! Super nice to the whole group! Conversed with everyone at the table! This was my first time going to a BJ’s, now it won’t be my last cause of Danielle! Thank you so much Danielle for everything ;) i hope you read this! And i hope you enjoy the tip ;)

The service here is always fast and friendly. The waitresses here aren’t snobby and they go out of their way to make sure you have a fine dining experience.

Kinda disappointed to give them only 3 stars, but this is solely based on our experience at this particular location.
Dinned here on Saturday night approx. 10 PM. We had a party of 20 that arrived after a Gymnastic Meet at the Convention Center near by.
Was told the wait would be about 30 – 40 minute. They were able to seat us quicker than the estimated time which was great!
We had only one server. Her name was Kayla. Drink orders took a little time, but we were okay with that since we were all socializing. Hoping our meal orders would go much better as it seemed the dinning area had cleared out and they weren’t to busy at that point. We all ordered and our meals took over 30 minutes to arrive to the table. This should be blamed on the kitchen –not the server. Many of the meals were cold. I had the vegetable Penne Primavera: it wasn’t even warm, could tell it sat and I was the last one served too! The green bell peppers in the pasta were undercooked (still very crunchy) and the pieces were so large it was not enjoyable. Many other unhappy patrons in our party. Brussels Sprouts were not cooked through: bitter and a fish and chips meal was over cooked with pieces of burned fish.
Our server didn’t get the staff help and support she needed for such a large party, but she did her best.
NOTE: We were there for about two hours total. The music as the evening progressed seemed to get louder for the bar flies & we all had a hard time speaking to one another too!

As always BJ’s produces. Excellent pizza and pazookies! If you’re not familiar with BJ’s go there and get the sweet pig pizza and a chocolate chip pazookie. This location had friendly service and was well maintained.

It was something out of my zone to ordered but it sound tasty so I figured why not?
Anywho as I’m placing the order I was sketchy about getting it because it was more food then I was hungry for it came with 2 chicken breasts but since It sound so tasty I couldn’t resist

Just for him suggesting something that I didn’t even know you can do is so helpful versus me taking home leftovers and not eating them!
I ate all my food and it was so delicious
I love going to restaurants where they actually take the time and suggested other options you can consider.

The service was amazing, the food was amazing and the environment was amazing! I used the preferred wait list on the app and got right into my booth for a FAMILY OF 6! … I had a waiter named «Lex» he was super nice, and knows how to host guest. Honestly, he’s the best waiter I’ve ever had & he knew exactly how to keep us happy without being «fake». We got apps and food suck as chicken club, and kids meals and other grilled chicken and fish dinners. They were all amazing! I would recommend you to come to BJ’s. Oh, we even got pazookies at the end… The chocolate chip one and Oreo ones are HEAVEN!!! Don’t leave this restaurant without ordering one!!! Honestly, I recommend this place to everyone. Don’t hesitate to pick this as a dinner spot. We were actually out for a birthday, they bring a candle with a pazookie! Amazing. Great. YUMMY!

During a lunch rush, we were seated almost immediately.
The menu is a pretty eclectic mix of stuff, but that day, I settled on the fried chicken and mashed potatoes with Dinner plate. However, the Lunch Special and the Dinner plate of chicken were both priced at $ 9.95; I informed our waitress and she let me know that the price of the Dinner was somewhere around $ 15, but I showed her that the menu had the same price for both items. She quickly informed her manager about the menu misprint and honored the price listed in a quick and courteous manner, much appreciated!
The place was clean and staff was attentive enough; didn’t hover too much and was on point with refills.
I’ve recommended this restaurant to many friends and I’ll definitely be back myself.

BJ’s is a great place for food and beer. They have a huge selection of food and beer. I can remember eating at the original BJ’s in Long Beach. Today, this chain has grown by leaps and bounds.
They care about quality, they care about the guest. It’s a chain, but the food is always good.

I always enjoy my visit to BJs. Unfortunately this time I did not. I used the call ahead feature. The person on the phone told me the current wait time was 30 – 45 minutes and that I had to be there within 30 minutes, which we were. When we arrived and we explained we were on the call ahead list, she told me our wait was 25 – 30 minutes. I explained what was told to me and she looked confused. We waited. We ordered our food and our appetizer, my soup and main dish all came out at the same time while the rest of my party did not receive their food. I finally asked for a manager, who came and offered an apology and an excuse that my food was put in at a different time than that of my friends which is why my food came out first. After all that, the food still didn’t come.
I do love BJs food, however the service was unacceptable this time.
Dine or Dash? I will dine again… just at another location.

–Its about the same price as a chain restaurant such Applbee’s, perhaps a tad bit more pricey. You certainly get bang for your buck here.

–It has a bit of a neighborhood grill feel to it with a slightly more upscale twist.

–Pretty darn good! The entrée was nothing to write home about but I certainly couldn’t complain. The appetizers and desserts were on point through!

–Good price, good food, good customer service… I’ll be coming here again next time I’m in Cali.

Ahi Tuna Salad: 4 stars
Very light dressing too light for the ahi tuna that I had to ask for a side of salad dressing. But the salad was very tasty & crunchy.
Salmon & quinoa (lunch menu): 2 stars
Way too small of portions for this dish, not for filling at all.

Took us 30 minutes to be seated even with RSVPs.

Tonight was an off night for these guys and its 100% the managers fault. After being seated at 8:45pm tonight we waited 20 minutes before flagging down a server. She sent the manager over who apologized and took our order. We got our appetizer, but no drinks or utensils. We asked three different times for utensils before they came. When the food came out it was the wrong order, we kept it anyway because we were already an hour in, tired, and hungry. Still no water! We finish and order dessert. Still no water. Dessert comes, still no water. We ask for the bill and again for a glass of water. When the server comes back with the our $ 74 bill he finally apologizes for the all the mishaps stating the server for this section fell and had to be sent home (how convenient the apology comes when the nil is dropped).
I totally get that accidents happen and I hope the server that fell is okay. Our server was slammed and really was doing the best he could. However, the manager should have been more proactive. She could have slowed down the seating, thrown on an apron and served food, dropped drinks, and even communicated the issues and reason for the slow service, she could have done a lot of things to make this night better like supporting her team on the floor but she didn’t.
We’ll be back because we like BJ’s, but that manager tonight… needs to be retrained. =//

Today was a business lunch visit.
Service. … slow, inconsistent, never received a water refill
Cleanliness. … just ok
Food. … soup bowl or cup is the same size… I had the soup and pizza lunch $ 7.25. Food was average. Pizza is too sweet and doughy
I truly don’t understand why they are always so busy, it’s not worth the wait.

5 stars for Trevor the bartender who took care of me. I was pleased with being treated fairly and efficiently during a busy Saturday afternoon rush.
The score is pulled down to 4 stars on account of the overly salty Flatbread I ordered. However, chain restaurants are not known for being judicious in the sodium department. All-​in-​all, I enjoyed the blonde beer and how light the peperoni Flatbread sat in my stomach.

I came here for a birthday lunch. The service here was decent. It was pretty busy so it was understandable that there would be waits for our waitress to come by. She was extremely nice though, which made up for the waits.
We started with the spinach artichoke dip appetizer. The cheese is melting just perfectly! Not too cheesy and not too watery like some the spinach artichoke dip from other restaurants.
Then we had the veggie delight deep dish. This was decent. Nice and fluffy, but nothing too special about this specific deep dish. We also had the garlic chicken pesto tavern-​cut pizza. This was delicious! It was perfectly crispy with the right combination of pesto sauce and tomatoes and chicken and everything else.
For dessert we got the white chocolate macadamia nut pizookie with vanilla ice cream. Before our waitress even knew we were there to celebrate a birthday, she told us to pretend it was one of our birthdays so we could get two complimentary pizookies. Definitely a dessert that needs to be shared because of its overwhelming sweetness.
Lastly, we had the craft root beer. If you’ve never had it, you MUST! It’s a bit sweeter than the usual root beer you buy in stores, which makes it so much better.
