I enjoy comedy. The floor plan shown on the website of this place is very misleading. Floor plan makes it seem like there is plenty of space between tables when in fact… they have people packed in like sardines. Makes it hard to enjoy the show. If you go to this place, try tables that are in the back or on far sides of the room.

I went to see 50 shades of men a few days ago. My first time at tommy t’s. The place was ok, nothing fancy, or nice. Of course, filled with women to see, what I was hoping would be, hot men dancing. I’m not a fan of the 2 drink minimum. I did order 2 drinks but they were weak, so weak. At almost 10 $ a drink, that was a rip off. My friend and I split the appetizer plate, was 16 $ for that. Super pricey for it. The zucchini though, mmm. Took forever to get our food. In the end, food and drinks for 2 was $ 60. Which I thought was super high. Tickets for my seat being front row was 30 $. Great seat though! It was rather warm in there. You’d think for the dancers sake, they would have it cool I there. The show itself sucked I thought, the guys were old and gross, 2 were ok. They didn’t know what they were doing and begging for money. Kept looking at each other trying to figure out what to do next.

Location is great, close to freeway and easy to get to. Funny stand-up and good nibbles. what more could you ask for?

So I went to Tommy T’s… and had a great time! Maybe it was the great woman I had by my side and she was making sure I had the best birthday ever, or is it was headliner, Aries Spears, crowd involvement(yes, it was a great show). Aries gave disclaimers before a lot of his joke, but really didn’t care, he did them anyway. I people got mad, then they shouldn’t have been there. It’s comedy, and jokes are JOKES. I had such a cool time that we are still laughing about it this morning! Didn’t get any food, drinks were good, and on this night, the people were cool!

Small intimate venue. You enter by very steep steps. We used a groupon so it’ was a good deal. They no longer require you to buy 2 drinks with entry. You now have to buy 2 items. This was good as it was early and we were looking for dinner. The selections were good. The salad was enough to feed 2 and the waitress said so when we asked. The chicken wings were a bit misleading. It said it was a pound and it was far from that, but they were still good. Get them with the sauce on the side or they will be soggy according to the waitress. They were good and I’d order them again. The Caesar salad was also good and filling and huge. We also had the mudpie for dessert. That was also good. We’d order the same meal again if we returned. The day I came the show was sold out. I think that would explain the huge crowd and slow service. I couldn’t imagine working here, it’s jammed packed. I came for a specific show and would come back for a specific show as it’s close by and a good price.

The show was great. The service and food were terrible. It took over an hour to get our meal and when it finally came my chicken tasted like fish which tells me the don’t clean their grill and cook the chicken and salmon on the same grill. Food was barely warm. Servers never return to see if you would like more drinks. And the best part. …the bathrooms smelled like sewage.

So we were here this past Saturday to see a show. The comedians were hilarious! The drinks and dessert came out in good time. It was also nice that it was next to cattlemen’s steak house. Now for the areas that need improvement. The tables on the floor were set up all wrong. You are not facing the comedians. In order to see them you have to basically twist your body. Now i know your going to say«why didn’t you just turn your chair», well it was so tight in there that the waitresses had to squeeze through the chairs. Being that I have a bad back, I went home in pain. Im sure this is done in order to get more people in there. Since the tables are set up this way, you were always trying to get out of the waitresses way since there was not much room. Not to mention that at times the waitress was in your way taking orders. When the check came, it wad wrong. They charged us for drinks that we did not order. I Think this happened because there is no space between tables, they are butted up against each other. We just paid the bill instead of waiting. When leaving it was not clear which way to go. We waited a bit for the crowd to leave, when we made out way to the front door, they turned us around. We tried leaving out the back door but there was a crowd of people taking pictures with the comedian. HUGE safety hazard. When you walk down the stairs to leave, there is a door to your left that will take you to parking lot. There was not a sign so most people walked out the door that was straight ahead at the bottom of the stairs. This door took you to the street where you had to walk around the building to the parking lot. Other than that, we had a good time. A few exit signs, better table placement would solve these problems. On a good note, the comedians were great!

Located in Nimbus Winery There isn’t really a sign to direct you to Tommy T’s, I don’t think. It’s the door most left of the building. From the doorway, it’s up some stairs to the Comedy Club where you’ll find a host/hostess. It’s table seating and some stools in the bar area. Full bar and food. There’s a two item minimum so a drink and a food item or two drinks. Whatever. Two item minimum. The food menu isn’t Vegan friendly. It’s bar food, really. I thought I could go with the zucchini skins without the ranch but the zucchini came with parmesan cheese heavily sprinkled on it despite that not being apart of the description. But I didn’t declare Vegan either so… my bad. I like the venue. The staff has been cool. Parking is fine. I don’t know what else is at Nimbus Winery other than Spaghetti Factory but that alone is cool for another option to eat at. And I don’t know if this is normal but the last time I went to Tommy T’s, drinks were 2 for 1 after the show.

I’m still slightly irritated that they tried to pull one over on the comedian K Von however I’ve been there twice in the last month now and the venue is pretty amazing. The staff was all very nice and welcoming, food is decent(though fried pickles should be added lol) and the acts are really good. So 4 stars it is. Would’ve been 5 but still slightly upset and the food could be better. Loved the buy one get one free drinks last Friday though!!! :)

My friend paid for two drinks she got when she was ready to leave and the show was almost over. My sandwich came with no condiments and no cheese. But by the time it came I just needed food. There were only two dancers the first half who were just okay and one wore granny underwear, which I didn’t even know they made for men. The third dancer was at least good. I think I’ll stick to the comedy shows — the one I came to was much better than this.

Didn’t know what to make of the place but were pleasantly surprised. You can get a meal(not high end) if you want and the drink pricing is not out of line with other bars in the RC area. Our first visit was kind of mediocre but that’s mainly due to low key comics. Stormy went there for a different show and found them to be better. It was a different evening and one we would repeat.

I have been to this place a couple of times and I thought I would save my review until I had a better feel of the place. When I walked in last night there was an argumentative customer talking to the lady behind the counter and I must say, the worker was being really patient with the customer and not being rude or anything. After a few minutes the worker excused herself from the customer so she could take care of me real quick. I was expedited to my table, right up front. I was greeted with a smile and a welcome from my server and not only did she bring me my drink, but she also offered me a water, which I thought was a very nice gesture. After a while I ordered What they called Zucchini sticks, when in fact they were wheels,(but thats no big deal) they were very hot when I got them so I know they weren’t sitting under some heat lamp in the back. They were very tasty and I really liked the ranch and marinara sauce that came with them. The show started about 15 minutes late, but again, no big deal. The comedians were funny and I had a great time, even though I was by myself. Here is a tip for all you Unilocalers, if you check in on your smart phone, you will get 4 free tickets to a future show! Thats worth going right there, also, when they bring you your finished bill, there will be 2 tickets for 2 other shows. Last night there was one in there for admission for 2 for 10 bucks, and the other ticket was also for 2, but was a free show.

Its only good if you go when a good headliner is present. I went on a friday night to watch mark curry. He was funny but the opening act was hilarious!!! The guy was from vallejo and i didnt get his name but he had me laughing the whole 20−30minutes he was on stage. The food is pretty good too, i only ate the tri tip sandwhich. The fries were tasty and i kept ordering shots of jameson! Overall fun environment and great comedians! Beware: theres a cover charge and a 2 item limit per person. They dont have water either. So you have to buy bottled water for $ 2

Invited by the funny man himself, Robert Powell! The first two comedians were eh. Robert definitely made it clear why he’s the one headlining. Good show, great laughs. I’ve never been to this comedy club before. It’s spacious and definitely provides more seating than most other stand-up venues around Sac. The food was subpar, understandably so. Very few of these kind of places pay attention to what their customers are dining in for. I mean, they cook it well and it’s good; just don’t expect it to taste any better than what you can do yourself at home with standard ingredients. HUGEBASKETOFFRIES($ 6 + $ 3.50 loaded) — fries with queso cheese sauce, bacon, and green onions. TOMMYBURGER($ 9.99) — ½ lb with pepper jack cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, and red onion. It’s safe to say that I’ll only come back if a good stand-up is in town.

I’m not sure whether to write this review on the venue or its food but I’ll do both. We arrived here early for a Robert Powell show. My boyfriend was put on the guest list for free tickets. He gave the lady at the front his name and it didn’t look like we were put on the list after all, but she let us in still without hesitation. We arrived about 15 mins early and the place was still practically empty, completely opposite of how I remember Punchline to be. We chose a nice seat on the side and didn’t have to share a table with anyone. From the looks of it, every table had a good view of the stage. We were starving so we were happy to see loaded fries on the menu. It was a sad moment when they arrived with nacho cheese and very little green onion and bacon — not what I was expecting. But we finished them anyway. I also ordered a Caesar salad because for some reason I was craving that along with a basket of those unhealthy fries. It was $ 9.99 for a salad which is unheard of and I instantly regretted it after I ordered it and the server walked away. I ate ¼ of it and stopped because it was too salty from the load of dressing. I’ve learned my lesson — food at comedy shows in my past experiences have been overpriced and taste less than average. But to end on a good note — it was a great show, staff was great, and we left happy!

I attempted to go here for my birthday back in August. This place was horrific. First off, just like most comedy clubs, they have a drink minimum. The drink minimum is not bad, but when you have no alcohol on top of that, it is not the greatest. You get charged so much for soda or water. The servers were super slow. By the time I got my first drink, I was done with the place. My wife and I decided to just get a refund, especially since were mislead to believe they had drinks. I would not recommend going to this place, I would rather spend my money at another comedy club.

I had heard of the Cadillac Ranch portion of this venue on the radio a while back. I wanted to check out the dance part of «Come for the comedy, stay for the dancing» that was advertised on their website. Also advertised on their website was $ 5 entrance fee to the comedian they were featuring that night. For only $ 5, my friend and I decide, what the heck, lets check out the comedy, too. Well, that $ 5 entrance fee was for people who have a Twitter account and posted the event… or followed the headliner… or something, I don’t know how Twitter works. I saw later that this was mentioned on the full website… in itty bitty text below the advertisement. The mobile site didn’t mention this as a precondition to the $ 5 entrance fee. I also saw the regular general admission listed at $ 15 on their website after the fact. However, we were charged $ 20 to see 4 comedians, of which, only one had any really funny jokes. The least funny was the headliner. Complete waste of $ 20. The service was good and our waitress was very attentive. We ordered some food and drinks. My friend didn’t comment on her sandwich. I only ordered the«huge basket of fries»…loaded for an extra $ 3.50. The«huge» basket of loaded fries… tasty, not huge. I’m not even sure I’d call it large. I’m a tiny girl eating this by myself and I wasn’t close to full. They also add on gratuity for you. My bill came to $ 25 after one drink, one small basket of fries and the automatic gratuity. So far, it’s a $ 45 night and we haven’t even got to the dancing yet. I don’t mind that, it’s to be expected… until… My friend and I imagine they’ll clear the tables and prepare for the dancing, although it emptied out pretty quick after the show. The dancing crowd must come in a bit later. So we go to the bar and order a drink…$ 10. I ask the bartender about the dancing and he replies that they did away with the dancing, but a lot of people have been coming in asking about it, so they’ll be restarting it after the new year. So, I come here for the purpose of checking out their dance scene, spend $ 55 and then find out their website is outdated and there is no dancing happening. On top of that, the website advertising is false and/or misleading. Very disappointing. I’ll be sticking to my regular country dance spots…

K so first: «HAHAHAHAHHAHA» to Gabe G. for saying this place would be closed in 2 months and it’s been 6 and they’re still going. Second, yes, yes, we know it’s pricey. 4 drinks(beer and wine) and a basket of fries cost $ 50! It was a Thursday, and though we got our tickets free(promotional) it’s still pretty ridiculous prices. The comedians were funny though it was pretty empty. It didn’t seem like the crowd was too into it which unfortunately makes/breaks the atmosphere. They’re trying SOMETHINGNEW! It was a soft opening for the Cadillac Ranch Saloon! Meaning Tommy T’s is still hosting awesome comedians but also adding live bands and COUNTRYMUSIC! :D
