So I’ve tried Ike’s, Togos, Subway, Beach Hut Deli, Panera and countless other variations of make your own bread/meat/veggies sandwich places. I have to say I have to say since trying Pocket Deli, it holds a spot on my mind when ever I want a «sandwich». The bread is always fluffy and all the sandwiches I’ve tried are delicious. Another great thing about this place is they have tvs and on this fateful day I got to watch me Euro Soccer!!! It has a mini freestyle machine which at first made me laugh cause it’s so wee, but works just as well. If you haven’t tried this place give it a shot, it’s well worth the money!

This is a awesome deli for those who want to make a health choice. sandwiches are the best i ever had. same as home made sandwitches .its not like other fast food sandwich spots. you dont feel guilty after eating, you actually taste the ingredients rather then doubting the ingredient taste. in my opinion waaay better then subway and Mr. Pickles. the salads are the best of all time, ingredients taste fresh not packaged & pre sliced soaking in water like subway tamatos. bacon actually taste like bacon and crunchy… other places i question the taste of bacon and texture is like chewing on a rubber band. honestly i am glad pocket deli uses fresh ingredients… vary convenient you can order online or with a mobile app. and just walk in and pick up your order without wating in line … everyone is vary Friendly. clean environment multiple Televisions for entertainment. the owners are awesome from what i hear from employees. Down side is they are closed on weekends. but oh well employees do need rest to come to work monday 100% energized Ps. this is the turkey bacon avacado guy today at 11:15 am either the manager or woner made my salad awesome dude

This place is SOGOOD! The bread is so fresh and delicious it’s so soft that it almost melts in your mouth. The employees are really nice and it’s a great ambiance. The place is decorated really nicely with industrial style furniture! The avocado & cheese sandwich is my favorite. The salads are also really good. My favorite is the Cobb salad! And the pickles are soooo good! God I love going to this place! It’s always so good. But I would order online or through the app as they get really busy during lunch time! You won’t be disappointed!

I’ve been here twice. I got the same thing both times, a custom sandwich. The first time was delicious. The bread was ridiculously soft and the ingredients were fresh. The second time was a little less satisfying. The bread was a little tougher and the ingredients a little less fresh-tasting. It happens, though. I will definitely go back! It is pricey, however. Definitely wouldn’t waste my money on chips & a drink again.

This place is awesome! It’s really just a name change from when it was«Ike’s» over by the strip club. Sandwiches are amazing. They have signature cold sandwiches like ham, turkey, egg salad and chicken salad. There’s also hot signatures, including meatball, pastrami and pita taco. You can also create your own sandwich or salad and they have combos where you can choose between a sandwich, salad, side option or soup. Prices range from $ 7.50 to $ 9 not including additions like extra meat, cheese or avocado. Their bread is what makes this place stand out. The sandwiches come on pita shaped bread, however it’s a thicker bread than traditional pita. They even sell the bread by itself. Also, they now do a rewards system through your phone number, each $ 1 spent earns you 1 point which can be redeemed for free chips, drinks, cookies, bread or sandwiches. They serve Coke products, have 3 large screen TVs and bottled beer too!

The bread is amazing, The food is filling and it does taste like quality. The only issue I had was the parking. I felt like I was driving in circles to find a spot, and when I did it was so cramped. Not only that but finding parking and waiting long enough for someone to let me back out took nearly my whole lunch break. I also waiting a bit long for my pita sandwich. I would go here again, if service was a bit faster. I literally had to scarf my meal in the parking lot of my work because I had 5 minutes left before I had to get back, and I am only 10 minutes down the road.(I have an hour lunch). Also the prices are a little high. but still a good eat.

I remember the highlight of my work day was eating at IKE’s deli on Sunrise. I went at least twice a week. The smell of fresh extra thick pita bread, homemade chili(well, homemade everything) and the giant jars of pickles and pepperoncini. The sweet older lady that used to hand me a pack of fresh pita for free sometimes. Maybe because she knew I was a regular(maybe just because she was awesome) was what brought me back time after time. There’s love in the food. Although the location has moved I am very happy to say it is the same IKE’s I loved! It’s second to my favorite sandwich of all time and if you haven’t tried it drop everything and go… Now.

So the knock came on my office door. «Wake up!» «What? Huh? What’s going on?» «We’re going to lunch.» «Where?» “You get to pick, remember?” «Oh. Yeah. Well, I’m kind of feeling middle of the road. Maybe slightly right of middle of the road. Take me to some place that is just north of middle of the road, that is unique, but that I will still like.» «You got it.» So we ended up at the Pocket Deli. Okay, I’ve eaten there before when it was still Ike’s, and I still ate sandwiches. I did enjoy their Pita sandwiches although it’s generally not my shtick. I got the Cobb salad. It wasn’t bad, it really wasn’t bad, for an independent, neighborhood deli. Decent size, fresh ingredients and not skimpy on items, and as a nice touch, it came in a proper bowl, not some foam plastic tub or something like that(maybe if you get one to go it would come that way, not sure.) The concept is unique and it’s not bad at all, but the sandwiches themselves, although purported to be very good, seemed a tad pricey for what they were. That’s a common complaint of mine these days though. Comparison: Double Whopper with cheeese(baseline comparison using a burger), five bucks. Salami pocket sandwich, eight bucks. The Double Whopper is bigger in a proportion that is inverse to the price comparison. I know, I know, apples and oranges. Will I come back again? Sure. Will I recommend it to my friends? Absolutely. Will I lie awake at night fantasizing about a lunch trip there the following day? Not particularly. I’ll give it a go. Three stars would be harsh, four is a tad generous but I think they earned a good solid four. I mean, I have to give them a higher rating than Burger King(not that I’d actually rate a national chain fast food restaurant.)

Finally tried this place out last week, they ran out of regular bread so my sandwich was in a «pocket», it was good, I must say! A bit pricey for 2 people, it was like 25 bucks, but it was fresh and good service, guys were nice, place was clean. Plenty of places to sit. They close at 7 which is good to know, because we’ve driven by here a lot and don’t ever see anyone in the parking lot. But now that we know they are open late, we will probably be back to try other stuff.

This place is amazing! Fresh warm bread, veggies and meat all made to order. Its on the corner, kinda hidden especially speeding down Sunrise. Was craving something that would hit the spot! Hours are finally extended M-F 930−7pm. If you work near the area definitely a great place to get a quick bite. Had the veggie last time, this time went with the BLT.

Popped in for an early lunch and was met with very friendly service. When I requested no lettuce on my BLT they offered spinach instead! Delicious… my husband had the turkey sandwich and that was great. Food was ready in a matter of minutes, plenty of seating. Love the huge windows and natural light.

My first time to a Pocket Deli and I was disappointed. Although the service was fast and friendly, the sandwich was sad. I got the pastrami. It was 85% tomatoes! The meat was more like and after thought, nor was it hot. I don’t think I’ll be back anytime soon.

Pretty darn good. It’s nothing to write come about but if you are looking for a solid sandwich than this place wont disappoint you. I have been here a couple times and the staff is reasonably nice. I wasn’t blown away. The bread is super soft and that is something I love in a sandwich. however, the ratio of bread to fillings is too much in favor of the bread. overall a god place to pop in for lunch but nothing special.

I would like to give a higher rating, but… for the price compared to what you get I wasn’t all that thrilled. I ordered the French dip, and had to pay extra for cheese. I felt the cheese should have been included like most other establishments do for this type of sandwich. My total for just a sandwich with cheese came out to almost $ 9. The sandwich was tasty, the bread delicious… but way too much $$$. I probably wouldn’t come back unless I had a coupon.

Love their sandwiches. My favorite is the BLT with avocado and pesto mayo, no onions or oregano. The bread is always so good. I would recommend downloading the app and ordering ahead as it can get VERY busy during lunch. They usually have great service. I think I’ve caught someone having a bad day a couple of times, but they are usually kind and helpful.

Oh my dear sweet baby Jesus. I honestly wasn’t sure how the Pita Taco was gonna taste like. In theory it sounds meh, but reading the description on the board it sounded bomb-diggity, especially getting it panini pressed. So I got it with avocado and bacon added, and it wasn’t just a taco sangwich, it was a goddamn fiesta in my mouth. I wish I had a time machine so I could go back in time and re-eat that thing. Thank you Pocket Deli for forever changing my life.

Went in to the restaurant for lunch at noon today. There were several people in line ahead of us so we waited a few minutes. After waiting approximately 10 minutes in line the employee working the register told everyone they were not going to take any more orders for 15 minutes because they were shorthanded. A portion of our group already paid and we’re waiting on their sandwiches as we stood in line with no one taking orders!!! Most people have a limited and defined time period to eat and return to work. Taking a portion of our group’s orders and then refusing to take the rest of our groups order is unacceptable!!! Not happy, lunch ruined!

This place is pretty good. No wonder why there is a lineout the door. The line went pretty fast and they were having a special today. I tried their small #22 Italian sausage and meatball and it was huge. The bread was soft and meat was spicy. It was great. They have dirty chips so they are gluten and cholesterol free with kosher certified. The parking is crappy and it gets really busy during rush hours, but its worth the wait. I will be back next time I’m around for training.

Great place for a great lunch. Used to be Ike’s Deli a couple of years ago. The key to this place is the bread. Totally makes the sandwich. My favorites here are the Cold cut and the roast beef. You will not be disappointed.

So I was in the area decided to stop by n give this place a try. Ehhh it’s was ok. I order the hot pastrami which came out cold. I would have like it a lot more if the cheese were melted and the pita pocket was warm or toasted. Bottom line I’m not sure if I would be coming back. Kinda pricey.

I miss Ikes not sure what happened with the cutover, but as pocket deli less meat to the point of having more of an onion vs. Pastrami sandwich for lunch is rather disappointing. The bread is still the delicious pita pan bread, but beyond being skimpy on the meat now the flavor is also off on the pastrami the last few visits. I’m sure I’ll try it again, but never did I think I would debate about going to togos instead for pastrami across the street. That was never even a consideration in years past and lately it seems like a viable dare I even say more appealing option? This really hurts me to say that statement, since I’ve loved going to Ike’s for years, but feel like I have been attempting to capture lost magic that is not coming back anytime soon.

I am a huge, huge fan. Thank goodness the hours of operation will make it tough for me to be a regular or Pocket Deli would soon own my home. This sandwich is ridiculously good. Walked in at noon and the line was out the door. Good sign. They moved the line quickly and I soon had my meatball sandwich and side of chili and dug in. The pocket bread is very fresh and tasty the meatball tasted homemade, and the sauce was on point. The mozzarella was loaded on top and and at the bottom of the sandwich. The sandwich is so big that you don’t need the chili. I highly recommend!

This is a great little hidden gem in the heart of Rancho Cordova. I have been going here for the past several years back when Ike used to run the joint. I must say, the sandwiches remained the same and they are phenomenal. The new ownership came in and buttoned a couple of things up that resulted in an even better business that was already good. The service here is friendly, always smiling and they seem to genuinely care about the customer. With respect to the food, this place is extremely unique and it all is centered around their outstanding pocket bread, which is a pita style bread that is hard on the outside but soft on the inside. Hard to describe, but it’s awesome! Throw some ham or turkey in that beast and you have yourself and awesome lunch! Highly recommended. Pros– Food Service Uniqueness Pickles Bread Free drink when you check in on Unilocal Price Cons– Busy at lunch Parking stinks

My new favorite sandwich! Pocket Deli is superb! If having them right down the street from work isn’t enough, their online ordering makes it even more convenient to enjoy them. My company orders from them all the time and they deliver to us. The first time I’d ever had a sandwich from them I was pleasantly surprised. I’d also tried the potato salad and it’s pretty good. Yesterday I placed my order over the phone and they asked when I’d be picking it up. I told them about ten minutes and they said«we’ll have it ready in five!» What? Sweet! Plus, I noticed their check-in deal gets you a free fountain beverage. I ordered the«small» turkey sandwich with added bacon and avocado(of course). I thought it would be the halves that we get at work when we order. Nope, this baby was pretty large! I ate every.single.bite! The bread is some of the best I’ve ever had. I can’t stop dreaming about it. I swear, it’s the best place to go for a sandwich in my opinion now. Before I thought it was Jimmy John’s, but they don’t have them in the Sacramento area either. I keep telling the boyfriend I’m going to take him here one of these days because he has to try it. Seriously, everyone needs to try it at least once and that first time will turn into multiple times… like me! hahaha
