Wow, I’m still shocked. I had a nice conversation on the phone with there scheduling person and made an appointment on Monday, he called me back and asked if it was fine to come out Saturday morning so I said yes. I got up early and waited for there person to get estimate for a roof. He shows up and I tell him I am ready for the quote but cannot invite him in. He looks at me, then the house, and asks if I want gutters. I said no hye thinks then asyks me if I am Ready to make a decision right now. I said no because I have others to come out and I want to compare prices. He says that I should wait for them seeing I’m not ready right now to decide. I said I just want the quote will be ready within a week or so and he says that if I’m not ready right now then maybe other company can help, and starts walking away. I ask if I am going to get a number and he says no and good luck. I was SHOCKED, it was extremely unprofessional and down right rude. like I said WOW, I did not even know what to say. Update. It is quiet interesting how 2 out of 3 people sending me rude messages have 1 review, and yes you guessed it the one review is for the company MHR and yes you guessed it again FIVESTARS. And the positive review does not show up on the MHR Unilocal page and they were created the same day I put mine up… Hmmmmm… You be the judge… LOL. LOL to funny.

8 months and 4 notifications of my unhappiness with ONE aspect of my kitchen remodel has gone by. Repeated attempts to get MHR to address my issue have been ignored. Workmanship is poor. Customer service is poor. They appear to have completed and closed my remodel without any review of charges, problems or completing county final permit inspection. Very unprofessional.

We have a 100 year old house that was in dire need of a new bathroom. My friends recommended MHR. In the beginning. There was some mis-communication in the beginning. We would have preferred to have the job done sooner rather than later. We did however pick out many custom features. Once the job was started, it was great. The contractors were on time every day and left the work area spotless. We had subway tile and a complex tile floor that was laid perfectly and looks beautiful. Best of all this entire gut job and rebuild took only a week and a half. I highly recommend this company for bathroom remodels. It is our hope to have them do our kitchen next year.

I give the company one star due to they let me out of the contract after the three day waiting period as well as the experience I had from their production manager. I had MHR come in to do a quote for my house, the salesmen and I agreed on a quote of 11,500 for a bathroom remodel(I was given 500 off from being a referral and 500 off for signing contract same day). While waiting for approval from one of their finance organization their salesmen, proceeded to show me pictures of his trips he takes on his motorcycle, one photo had a picture of a woman on it. Unprompted, he tells me that he is not having sexual relations with this woman but rather found her on a dating website so he could establish a friendship. He proceeded to tell me how hard it is to make male friends because he doesn’t want to be perceived as gay. He continued to express his desire to have a platonic relationship and how this woman calls him her big brother(creeped out, I am happy he found friendship). A few days later, the company sent out their head contractor, Mike, he measured the bathroom to 1⁄8th of an inch. While he has good intentions, he is very direct and borderline condescending. This is the first remodel I have paid for, when he asked me questions about what was going to be done with a soffit in the bathroom I replied I wasn’t sure because it wasn’t covered in the quote. He told me it was my job to ask all the question because«a salesmen will sell you anything, and its your job as a consumer to know what is going on» I was taken aback and stated I expect for the premium I am paying that the salesmen and the company had integrity. He responded by telling me about his experience at a dealership when he bought a truck. He became frustrated and said he wasn’t here to argue with me, at which point I told him that if he continued to be condescending I would ask him to leave my house. The contractor advised me that the salesmen did not take into enough into consideration and it would not look appropriate for what I wanted. He made a suggestion of having a sliding shower door to a walk in shower for the same price. I agreed with his new idea and decided to press forward. The next day the production manager calls to tell me the changes that he contractor suggested are not possible due to the materials I wanted and the materials needed for his suggestion, plus the pricing is not the same. I asked what could be done, he stated he would call back in 2 days with options. I was given 3 options the next day. 1) the agreed upon contract with the flaws the production manager and contractor told me 2) a different option that would cost 1000 – 1500 more 3) terminate the contract. I selected the second option at the time, he said he would call me the next day with a more accurate number. When he called back, the price was actually 2500 more. At this point, I decided to terminate. I asked him to go to the owners and express my frustrations for being lied to, misled and the experience I had with the salesmen.(Despite my experience, I wanted to do business with them due to their warranty and the quality of work they did for my father the month prior). The next day the owner of the company, Bjorn called me and stated that it didn’t make business sense to work with me despite my experiences. He continued to explain to me that I didn’t have an understanding of what business is and how it works. At this point, I did advise that I held a Masters in Business Administration and had a concept of the business world on top of my 15+ year work history. Bjorn replied«regardless, it doesn’t matter» At this point, I iterated the negative experiences I had with his staff to which Bjorn stated«Now you wait a minute Mr.(last name) I know Mike personally, and he is a friend of mine. I take personal offense to anyone who speaks ill of my staff or says my staff treated them wrongfully» At this point, I told him to terminate my contract and I was going to file a complaint against him through the BBB and write a Unilocal review. He advised me «I don’t give care, its your right to tell the world your opinion» Several minutes later, the contract was ended. This company was a nightmare in terms of customer service and integrity.

We were disappointed with this company. They did a very small project at our house, approx. $ 5,000. Initially everything seemed OK, the scheduler was responsive, the superintendent walked the site with us and seemed to understand what we wanted, and the workmanship by the actual laborers was very nice. My biggest complaint is that the company scheduled our project as after-hours work for their crew. After working 10+ hours at a main jobsite, the superintendent would come and do 2 more hours at our place in 100+ degree summer afternoons! I realize that our project was very small, but I was very flexible with scheduling and had expected better service. As a result of the superintendent’s fatigue, he did not follow several of our very specific instructions. My second major complaint is that after our work was done, the crew did not clean up the work area to our satisfaction(also related to after-hours fatigue). We called and spoke to two different live people at the company’s main phone number, but our messages were never passed on to the fellow in charge of scheduling. When the original superintendent arrived again, he made excuses and did not clean up as we requested. Maybe they give better service on a larger job, but I cannot say that they are very professional.

Never work with this company. They came to my door to offer an estimate on my roof and called me literally 15 times in 1 week(primarily when I was at work so I couldn’t answer). This ticked me off so I asked to be removed from their calling list. They kept calling anyway for the next week. Keep in mind this was nearly a year ago… Now I’m getting random calls from them again! They kept calling with a 1800 number and I finally decided to pick up after like 10 calls over a period of 3 days and no voice mails. The number instantly hung up and then someone called me like 2 seconds later saying they wanted to work on my roof from the same company! DONOT work with these people better yet, talk to them. Super shady company.

I received a call from one of their representatives regarding my interest in proceeding with windows. I told him that this isn’t a good time and he kept asking me «why» questions. He then proceeded to ask me where I was from and that I have an accent. When I responded«excuse me» and then he hung up on me. I called the company back and spoke to a manager/supervisor Rick and he wasn’t very responsive. He told me I’m sorry if you felt offended. I’m sorry, that isn’t genuine in my book. It’s pretty obvious that they are not very professional or customer oriented.
