I think this place could be a solid four, if not for some annoying attributes. The décor and ambiance of the place is fine, the wait staff is friendly and accommodating, but service is slow. Regarding the food: Case 1 — Chips and salsa The salsa is very fresh and tasty. The chips are fresh and warm. Staff is good at replenishing both. It’s not the best chips and salsa I’ve had, but it’s one of the better. I give them a four on that. Case 2 — My dish, the Fajita Salad OMFG, is it really nineteen bucks? And the shrimp version is five bucks cheaper? Odd. Well I did get the steak fajitas. I forget what they charged me. It was a lot. I give them a ‘C’ for effort. Why a ‘C’? Well the descriptor said it was greens topped with fajita meat. The descriptor or the picture did not reveal that it came in a tortilla shell. I don’t want a tortilla shell. That’s why I’m ordering that salad. It doesn’t come in a tortilla shell. I don’t want tortillas. If I wanted tortillas I would order a damn burrito. That notwithstanding, where was a lot of fajita steak on it. It was a tad tough and dry in spots, but fairly good. And the kicker, bean goo on the bottom. I DON’T EATBEANS!!! That’s why I got a SALAD!!! Case 3 — The guy with the burrito. ‘Nuff said. When I get a burrito, I like to grab it like an animal and eat it. That’s why I get a burrito. This was sloppy wet and mushed in with beans and stuff. And it wasn’t very big. Dude was okay with it. I wouldn’t have been very happy. Case 4 — The guy with the Carnitas. Skimpy. The sample looked good. He was done pretty quick. Case 5 — The chick with the massive burrito. It was big, but again, it was wet. You couldn’t grab it. I guess it’s a restaurant thing. Yeah I’d go back, but I’d be selective in what I got. Some of the mariscos looked pretty good. Maybe I’d give a salad another go but I would have to specify what I want, and more importantly do not want on it.

Such a good place to have fun and margaritas after work. Jose was an excellent server. The food was amazing. Atmosphere is friendly.

Not that great !! Tacos were bland. Meat was watery, taco shell fell apart. Fish was saturated in oil, an overall 2, thumbs down for the price.

Amazing portions, delicious food. Their chille rellenos are delicious and spicy, their steak fajitas are out of this world. The only thing that I ever balk at if for only a second are the prices– but after comparing them to the other restaurants in this town they are almost exactly the same. Everyone’s always so friendly and the service is excellent.

You must try the pineapple jalapeño margarita or the guava margarita! Service is good and the food is ok for chain restaurants. Only been there for din. Would be nice if they had more specials.

First, I’d like to say that this place has everything going for. Nice atmosphere and fun décor for for a Mexican restaurant. That’s where the compliments end though. I’m somewhat upset I didn’t read any reviews prior to coming here. I would have avoided it if I had. My steak burrito was as bland as it gets. I had to add the salsa from my chips in order to get some flavors going. Overall, this place is not worth coming in. It’s really expensive and the waiters seem unhappy.

The food was good. I was truly disappointed to learn they don’t sell aguas frescas, tamarindo, horchata, jamaica. It’s nice and cozy inside and I liked the rustic décor inside.

Food is good, service is lacking. I will be seated quickly enough, and the chips will get to my table in a timely manner, but then the server can take quite a while to get to you to take your order. If you ask for more time it might be a little bit before you see them again, so try to know what you want before they get to the table. But the food is usually pretty good, not spectacular, but better than average. But I’ve waited 30+ minutes before for a final bill to arrive, this isn’t usually how long it takes, but it is usually longer than most places I’ve visited. I go back because it’s a good location for us, but there are better mexican food places.

To our sad dismay our favorite local Mexican Restaurant closed its doors and is relocating to Garden Hwy so we Googled a Mexican Restaurant and Casa Ramos came up so we decided to give it a shot… Already knowing I was going to pick it apart bit by bit. We ordered our typical order two Cadillac margaritas on the rocks with salt, chili Verde and devil shrimp… To our surprise the portions were huge and very tasty… Only complaint is the chili Verde could have used a lil more sauce to go with the meat. Overall good food we will definitely be returning customers… Margaritas were very tasty would only recommend one if you are the DD…

Casa Ramos is a good local Mexican restaurant with great Margaritas. Their menu is pretty vast and everything we have had has been good. With drinks the bill can get a little pricey, but overall worth it. The staff is very attentive and friendly.

Went to this place for the first time with a friend and I had the Tacos al Carbon & she had a combination plate with a Chile Rilleno. We both had house margaritas on the rocks as well. Overall it was pretty good for being a chain mexican food restaurant. The only thing holding me back from giving 4 or 5 stars is mine had a very strange after taste that was not good & her Chile Rilleno wasn’t crispy. Maybe it was an off night? I’ll definitely be back for another margarita though those were super good! I’ll also try ordering something else to see if it makes the experience better. Casa Ramos seems like it has potential so I’m willing to give it another shot in the future.

Netflix and chill night! Steak mexican pizza, side of refried beans, and chips and salsa all under 15.00 whaaaaat? The pizza omg steak cooked to perfection, the crust is flaky and crispy at the same time… how does that happen? For all the negative comments about the beans, this is authentic food! It’s not supposed to be loaded with salt which most consider flavor; hence, why those handy dandy little things called salt and pepper shackers are on every table! For the price and the amount of food I received(easily could feed 3 people snacking and tossing back wine? Is an overall dope deal! I will definitely be back!

Good meal and lots of food. Came in weeknight and not too busy. Seated right away by friendly host. Started with chips and salsa. Chips ok but salsa very flavorful and chunky with tomatoes. Had the Los dos amigo plate. One huge burrito with one half filled with chile Colorado and the other half filled with chile verde. Too big to eat the whole thing but the chile verde side was delicious!

Ok, don’t know why I keep coming here, maybe I hope it will get better, but the truth is, it’s next to my hotel. Ordered the seafood Molcajete due to the Manager/or owner said it was good Well it is an EPICFAIL! Don’t even know how you call this joke a Molcajete, it’s a bowl of sauce with cocktail shrimp, and micro sized scallops(Very nasty fishy tasting) a sad looking scallion onion, and a pathetic looking slice of Serrano pepper, I ate it only because I did not want to drive out to(El Tapatio where they do make authentic Molcajetes) it’s 11 miles away Lazy ass. This has to be the saddest plate I have ever ate. LASTTIME I EVEREATHERE.

When I typed in «carne asada fries» on my Unilocal search, Casa Ramos was the second place that popped up after Adalbertos. I’ve been a fan of Carolinas/Adalbertos carne asada fries since high school however, just recently I stopped caring for them.(if you want the best carne asada fries in the world go to San Diego). I wanted to try some place new so I called Casa Ramos. It turns out that they don’t even serve carne asada fries but the girl who answered the phone said they could make it if I told her exactly what I wanted on the fries. Cool, so I thought that was a win ! I asked for: pico, guacamole, cheese, and sour cream. Absolutely no jalapeños please unless they’re the fresh kind. I head over and within 5 minutes, the food was ready. I appreciated that they provided chips and salsa along with my order. Their salsa was good! It looked like pace but tasted fresher . The moment my bf and I looked at the fries, we both realized that it looked like a sloppy soggy mess. What else did we notice? Pickled, jarred jalapeños. Had it not been for the flavorful carne asada pieces, I’m sorry but you guys would’ve gotten 1 star. Since the carne asada was actually good and they made carne asada fries even when they normally don’t serve it, you guys got 2 stars. Would I come back? Probably but I wouldn’t order the $ 12 carne asada fries again.

So it’s been a year since I wrote a review, and it’s time to update this. Casa Ramos has become one of our regular spots(I’m only a LITTLE embarrassed to say that we have«a table.» As in, «Oh, hey guys! Do you want to sit at ‘your table?’»). The prices are great, the food is really good(in my review a year ago I said it wasn’t the best Mexican food in town. But I was pregnant when I wrote that and everything made me sick, so that doesn’t count. It really is good food). The service is so friendly, we always feel welcome when we come in: from the manager to the servers to the bussers, everyone is genuinely nice and friendly. They always seem so happy to see us, and if my parents show up without us(and their granddaughter), everyone always asks, «where’s the baby?!» It’s pretty cute.

I’ve seen Casa Ramos several times while stopping to get gas at Shell. Today I was on lunch … Felt like Mexican food … so I thought I would give this place a try. We were greeted by a very nice gentlemen who sat us down immediately and told us of the daily special. The special today happened to be an enchilada plate with rice and beans. The menu had lots to choose from and their lower prices munch menu was pretty big and well. I decided on something I’ve never heard of. I can’t remember the name to save the life of me. It was a flour tortilla with steak inside. It was covered in a white sauce topped with melted cheese and Pico de gallo. And of course you can’t forget the beans and rice as well. The dude got the enchilada special. He opted for chicken enchiladas. The food did come out pretty fast, but in all honesty it lacked flavor. I wasn’t impressed at all. It didn’t taste authentic in the least bit. The steak in my dish had the most flavor. The dudes enchilada sauce had a sweet taste to it, not something I want for my enchilada sauce. The chicken inside was flavorless as well. In all honesty I wouldn’t come back here. The restaurant is extremely nice and decorated very colorful, but there are places much better in the area.

I’ve been craving Mexican food and since there’s not a lot of options around me, we decided to go to Casa Ramos for lunch. It was pretty empty when we got there, I think I only saw 2 other tables that were occupied. The host was friendly and we were seated right away. The server brought us chips and salsa(one of my favorite things about Mexcian restaurants!) and since I was starving, I dug in right away! was surprised by how spicy the salsa was(love it since a lot of times it just taste like tomatoes with onions). The salsa was hearty and probably my best part of the meal. My boyfriend ordered the dos amigos burritos and the Diablo margarita and I ordered the 2 combination: chimichanga and taco with no cheese. His plate was massive but the beef was super tender and flavorful, it almost tasted like beef stew wrapped in tortilla, The pork burrito was okay, but didn’t have as much flavor. My chimichanga and taco were good, nothing out of the ordinary. The food is a little pricier than I’m used to for Mexcian food, but it’s convenient and within walking distance so we’ll probably be back. Also, the service is really friendly and made us feel really welcome.

I’m giving this place five stars for five different reasons. Here we go: 1. The ambience of the place is just wonderful, the decoration and music really shows that yes it’s a Mexican restaurant. The servers all speak Spanish and would make you feel like you’re entering a new world and you’re now in Mexico. 2. The drinks are amazing! The bar is a little small and the selection is limited but the bartender is so friendly and makes sure that you like your drink. 3. The food is fantastic! We ordered the coconut shrimp for appetizer and had fajitas. The serving is good enough to share and it has full of flavor. The fajitas are so good I requested another serving of tortillas! 4. Parking space is huge and restrooms are clean. 5. The whole experience is just amazing. The staff is very friendly and made sure that we like everything, from the food, to our drinks and the overall service. Yes, I would go here again in a heartbeat!
