I’m usually critical of people writing negative reviews, but I have to leave one here. I called One Hour on the recommendation of family, and after about 3 hours of sweating me out, the tech said«Your ducting is ruined, you might need a new unit too». First quote was over 13000 $ «I’m not a salesman». Right. Second quote lowered 2500 $. Still over 10 grand for an ac unit and ducting in a tiny house. On the suggestion of someone else, I had a second contractor come in who was union. He ran some tests(that the One Hour guy didn’t even do), checked the ducting, tightened down one thing, filled up my coolant, and the AC has been kicking out cool air ever since. The One Stop people tried to convince me I would at least have to replace the ducting at over 4000 $. less than a 1000 sq foot house, 4000 dollars for ducting that costs about 400 total in parts. Pretty sure it’s not standard to charge 1200 $ an hour for labor. I noticed they had two other reviews like this buried after making the mistake of giving them any of my money. I don’t recommend anyone use this place. Reliable international chain my rear end. Worst part is I had to wait another week sweating it out until the other guy became available. Waste of time and money, do NOT use them.

So the A/C in my rental house is pretty old and was not cooling effectively. I had 1 hour come out and after 5 minutes they told me it had a leak in the evaporator coil AND the condenser coil. According to them there was nothing to do but install a new system. The guy made a quick call to his office and came back with a quote for over $ 8000. I asked for a written breakdown of the quote and his response was«Oh, you’re going to get other quotes?» Duh! After this he quickly scurried off to write up my $ 100 service bill and then started to leave. I asked him if he didn’t want my email address to send me the quote and he said«oh yeah, better give me that». Do you think they ever sent the quote? Of course not. Part 2 of the story is that the next day I had another service look at it. They spent an hour going over the whole system and found a leak at the fitting going into the evaporatior coil. He tghtened it, recharged the system abnd an hour later the system was still holding ther charge. It works fine now. Sorry 1 hour, you’ll have to keep looking for that customer who says«$ 8000 for a new system cuz mine leaks, sure here’s a check!»
