Sleepy’s

Sleepy’s Mattress is a scam system by design. It had been prosecuted by many states for consumer frauds. Every time they settled by paying fines.
My experience with Sleepy’s at Ramsey was horrible.
First the sales person misled me to buy a mattress. I only found out I had to pay more after I swiped the credit card. I was too naïve to think he just made a mistake: he must have done this to every customers, part of their scam system.
Then they delivered a defect wrong model. The deliverymen said I should contact the store and left the mattress (I should not have accepted it). I called the store, but they asked me to contact warehouse. Warehouse asked me to contact delivery company… After endless calls, they arranged a new delivery. But it was another defect wrong model!!!
They tried to deliver several times when I was not at home. I thought it was simply poor management. But this was another part of the scam system. They used these unscheduled deliveries as evidence during dispute: we delivered the right product at right time, but the customer was not at home.
I talked with many Sleepy’s representatives, most of them are trained liars. For example, the salesman sold me the product never picked up my call again. The other salesman simply said the guy was not available and their policy did not allow other salesman to check my case. Again, it was by design to cheat customers and get away from it.
I spent next half year disputing: credit card company and BBB. I won in both cases. The last call I received was from Tennessee. A «nice» Sleepy’s guy asked me about the case and promised he would investigate. But they then sent the bill to collection agency!!!
I did some research online, and found out tens of thousands customers have similar experience as me. I should have contacted the attorney general from the beginning.
Never buy from Sleepy”s. It is a shame that such a scam system grows bigger and bigger, while other decent mattress sellers went out of business.
