I messed up the heel of the pair of tuxedo shoes that I owned, so I needed a pair quick to go to the ball that evening. And I didn’t know what stores around town that sold them, and had them in stock, so I did the next best option, or only option. I had to rent a pair. I called in the car and asked them what they had, and all they had were rentals. I would have bought a pair from VIP Formal Wear, but they stopped selling them since they needed a new vendor, and were unable to replace their current stock. When I got to the store, the lady at the front remembered me, and my shoe size and went to the back and returned with my shoes. She said the shoes were do back Monday, but not to worry as long as I have them back before Wednesday afternoon, I would be fine. That is when she has to start making phone calls for me to bring them back. Even though the staff was nice and friendly, it did leave a not so good impression with me about not being able to buy a pair of shoes from them, since they sold me my last pair. They didn’t even know when they would be selling again. The worst part was, the very next store I went to(K&G) sold formal wear, and I never knew they did. I just happened to be looking for a tie.
