Tropical Smoothie Cafe

My friend had been mentioned this all day so we happened at the shopping center will went to try it. A Clean and friendly restaurant. We only ordered smoothies this time. It was awesome ! Defiantly will come back to try more !

I love this location and that’s not because it’s right by work. The managers are always there and very polite to regulars and new customers. The staff is young, vibrant and seems to have fun working together and that makes all the difference. When lines are chaotic they handle a crowd with grace and ease. Try a Health Nut Smoothie + an immune booster when you are feeling under the weather, you’ll thank me later.

Great option for a quick, healthy lunch. Staff is always pleasant and attentive. Give great recommendations and know their products well. I love the «smoothie and a half» option. You get a pretty large size smoothie and pair it with half of a sandwich or a salad. I like getting the Island Green Detox (the ginger ratio is perfect) and half of the cranberry chicken sandwich.
Place is always clean as well. Wouldn’t mind eating in if I had to.

It is a chain smoothie place but I appreciate then really trying to give everyone options and alternatives to drinking to much sugar like having the spinach and kale add on and being able to have No Sugar… very important to my boyfriend and I.

Not okay to post hours but close 20 minutes early! I arrived at 8:39, there were several guests inside, but the door was locked. I got the attention of the girl behind the counter and pointed to the posted hours. She mouthed «that’s wrong.»
Get it together, manager! Either keep the posted hours or change the hours in the sign.
PS– the flashing ‘open’ sign in the window might want to be turned off if you are going to lock the door 20 minutes early.

I really like this location! Every time I go, I can count on quick service, in and out. I always get my smoothie fast and the staff is really friendly and nice! Simple and easy. I asked to swap out some greens in my smoothie and even though they had to figure out how much to sub and re-​measure some greens from the back, they did it without hesitation, I really appreciated that effort.

I mean if someone won’t donate to the organization that you advertised don’t make fun of them. Those two people at the counter today humiliate me for not donating. Like most people I have my shortcomings but don’t embarrassed a customer. Tsk. Won’t come back again.

Stopped in for smoothies and we loved it! We tried the Mango Magic and Mocha Madness. The Mango Magic was super fresh with mango and pineapple and, it’s non-​fat and very filling. Our first thought with the Mocha Madness is that this is a healthier and cheaper alternative to Starbucks. All smoothies are 24oz and they are a meal. We’ll definitely be back and try more of the menu. Tropical Smoothie is a wonderful addition to Wake Forest Road.

The smoothies are delious. What I was pleasantly surprised about was the food. I had the Chipotle Chicken Club. It was warm and soft with just the right amount of sweetness. Kinda like comfort food. The service was really good. They bring the food to you with a smile. Its a 25 minute drive for me but I will be back.

Wanting a quick yet healthy lunch, I remembered that this place had opened up behind Trader Joe’s (right by the burger place). I got lucky because there was only one person ahead of me, so by the time I checked out the menu and figured out what I wanted to try, I was up. (By the time I left, the line was quite long).
They have wraps, sandwiches, salads, flatbreads, and of course, smoothies. I tried the combo, and chose half of a Thai Chicken Salad and a Totally Green Smoothie (listed as for a limited time), with Cucumber, Green Apple, Kale, Spinach, Celery & Kiwi. This was a quite large Smoothie, and very fresh and flavorful. A very friendly gal took my order, my payment, and prepared the Smoothie. Another very friendly gal soon brought my salad out. It was small and simple, but fresh and light, which was what I wanted.
Really happy to have this healthy-​option place so close to work! Next up, I must try the Detox Island Green with Spinach, Kale, Mango, Pineapple, Banana & Fresh Ginger.

I haven’t tried the food yet but this Tropical Smoothie Café location produces yummy smoothies that fill me up! All the ingrediants i’ve had in my drinks have been fresh, and you can’t beat the size for the price.
Service is also pretty quick, though with only one or two people behind the counter it sometimes gets backed up when there’s a rush of people around breakfast or lunch.
Just a heads up, you can get a discount on your smoothie if you come in between 7am — 9am! I believe it’s $ 2 off which is a great deal!
