I recently decided to go back to over-the-toe pedal clips for my Trek 6700. The clipless system was recommended by a friend at work, but I just didn’t like it. Not only did Nate & his guys replace my «egg beaters» with platform pedals & clips, when I needed new shoes, they custom-ordered some Bontragers that rock!

We shopped almost every bike shop in Raleigh and came back here due to their knowledge and outstanding customer service. We bought two hybrid bikes which were available right as promised. Had a little crash on one and they repaired it as soon as I took it in with no delays. I am very impressed with this store and thrilled we decided to buy our bikes from them.

Recently bought a Trek here, from Pryde. It was a great transaction. Pryde was even gracious to wait on us, and sell us the bike thirty minutes after his closing. This was our first bike from the store. In the past we had purchased just bike parts. Never a bad experience here. I highly recommend this business.

Just bought my first road bike from here. The staff was super helpful not only explaining options, but orienting me to the bike I selected. If you’re looking for a bike from store with great customer service and great products, this is your place.

Very impressed after my visit today. At least four staff members approached us and made sure we were being helped and asked if we had questions. They were busy today — but took the time to make sure they adjusted our bikes properly and that we were getting the right bikes for what we needed. Got a prompt response to a question I messaged to the store via FB and was able to get a great price on a new bike for my daughter and a good price on a used Trek for my son. Highly recommend.

I decided to get back into mountain biking, so I visited Trek Raleigh as well as many other local bicycle shops in the area. The other bike stores were nice, but this Trek Bike shop in North Raleigh is by far the best. I dealt with many of their associates here over the past couple weeks, and they always treated me like I was about to drop $ 10k on a bike. The staff is very knowledgable about Trek and are very passionate about biking. They helped me pick out the correct bike for my riding style, and made sure it was a good fit. I look forward to doing business with them for a long time, as I’ll need to purchase more Trek Bicycles for my wife and children!

Now THIS is how bicycle buying should be! My wife wanted a new bike and after convincing her to make the trek out here(sorry, couldn’t help it…) we were met by a female staff member(Rachel??) — perfect to have one woman talk to another about what’s important about a new bike. After describing what we wanted(something to take onto Raleigh’s Greenways and occasionally into Umstead Park) we were presented with two options and my wife took both of them for a spin in the parking lot. We decided on one bike — and got a few accessories as well(helmet, kick stand, water bottle and holder). To top is off it was their 7th anniversary on Black Friday — something we didn’t know about when we got there. All Bikes were 25% off and all accessories 30% off. But if you brought them a birthday card the bikes were 30% off and the accessories 40%. So while they put the bike together we drove over to Walgreens to pick up a birthday card. And we made sure that the manager knew about the fantastic service that we had received. By the time we got back the bike was ready and we were on our way feeling really well taken care of. If I ever need a new bike this is where I’ll be going!

We had a really good experience here. Staff was definitely helpful, and as this was early on in our bike search, I felt this was the place we got the most direction on what was a good fit for our needs. I will say the associate had my husband start test-riding on the most expensive model first, saying, it’s easier to start with that and explain what’s different as you work your way down. But there seemed to be a bit of up-sell going on. That said, we didn’t feel pressured to make a decision that day. And hubby did get to test a full range of bikes.(Of course, deciding he liked the expensive ones better. ;) Trek bikes seem to be high quality, and when you purchase one here, it does come with unlimited adjustments and an annual tune-up. The store also has all the bells & whistles you need to outfit your new wheels.

Old school customer service from someone knowledgable and professional? Yes its true! I bought my sons Schwinn bike in to get the brakes repaired. It was literally a 2 minute job which I lacked a tool for. Total cost? «No charge sir, it was a simple fix». While I waited my wife and I sought a hybrid bike we could use for our trail runs. We were fitted and explained the difference between all the bikes. Price was never an issue as the rep sold the features and did not worry about his commission because the reps are not on commission. Great guys who actually ride the bikes they sell. Spend $ 300 at Dicks if you want to, but you will bring your bike here to get it fixed when the«Made in China» sticker wears off in 6 weeks.

One year after buying a bike from them I’ve put their service through the ringer. I took a pretty nasty tumble this past weekend and went in on Monday night because I bent my rear dérailleur, loosened up my headset and seriously jacked up my front wheel. The one thing I love about this place is the service. They normally have plenty of techs to work on your bike at any time of day. They’re open until 7 so that if you do work a 9 – 5(or some variation thereof) you can get in and get your bike addressed. They worked on my rear derallieur and got that working. Unfortunately they tried to re-true my front wheel-and were unsuccessful. So I purchased a new wheel and they transferred everything over-disc, tube, tire and re-trued it. All included with the price. They tightened up my headset and I left there with a nearly brand new bike. I went in the next day to get refitted. After my spill many things shifted and I wanted to make sure the bike was still set up well. I was helped by Dave and he checked my knee to pedal ratio, adjusted my seat forward and we dropped my post down a bit. We discussed bio-mechanics and discussed my pedal stroke. Ultimately I had to get a wider set of riser bars, a new stem and I’m going to try out a new set of ergo grips with built in bar ends. 4 stars for great service, and an excellent staff. The only knock here is sometimes their prices can be a bit steep compared to internet options. However, they do all their work in house, quickly, cleanly and professionally. Overall a great bunch of guys that know what they’re doing. There’s no pressure here, they come over to give you their insight and leave you to your own decision.

I found out about this Trek store on Unilocal, and visited it today to ask about bike tuning appointments — YAY, they don’t require appointments! The assistant manager, Pryde, answered my questions, showed me the local MTB(that’s MounTain Bike for you non-bikers) website and how to find out about local clinics, trails, etc. I didn’t linger over the merchandise, but they obviously have lots of Trek bikes, as well as biking grub, helmets, shoes, etc. A couple of employees were tuning bikes. I’ll be dropping my MTB off to them for a tune-up this coming week, so I’ll let you know how that goes. As for now, I’m very impressed with the no-pressure sales atmosphere and full-on knowledge of the folks here.

I came to Trek to get my bike fitted. I picked Trek because I figured these guys would be most familiar with a LeMond frame. Dave, one of the managers(I think), performed the fitting and turned the science in to an art. He listened well, pinpointed problem areas immediately, and took care to make minor adjustments to find a sweet spot. My days of numb fingers and sore knees after riding are completely gone. 4 stars for… Competent staff and technicians Low pressure from the sales guys Awesome sales prices
