Tim Johnson Studio Hair

I received the worst sew in weave ever from this place. I have been wearing weaves for years, and decided to try here after my regular stylist was having arm and hand issues and could no longer do my weave until her physical therapy was over.
The braider braided way too tight and braided my hair really close to my forehead. Tim styled the weave which I was not very impressed with the style. When I got home to give it a good look, the braider did not put hair on parts of my braids leaving all of that braid/​scalp exposed. I had to go back the next day where they had to take the whole weave out and re-​do because the first weave was so badly put in (10 hours of my time between the first and second visit). Although, the second weave was better than the first, it was not much better.
I purchased the hair from there because I was told it could be used several times… NOT. That hair got so tangled. I paid hundreds of dollars for that weave and would not have mind paying that if I got a really good quality weave but I did not. His services are over-​priced for what I received. That was my first and last time going there.
I will say that Tim and most of his staff were nice. Also, I do like the fact that he kept mentioning how his goal is to please and to come back if I have issues. However, I should not have to keep going back to get a quality weave and definitely after I gave it two shots already. First impressions are lasting impressions and I can say that I did not get a good first impression. I even gave it another shot by going back the next day, but again I was not impressed. As for sew ins, you could definitely go other places and get a better weave and pay hundreds of dollars less.
My regular stylist is now back and put the bomb weave in my hair (I did not even keep the weave done by Tim Johnson Studio Hair in for two months… glad to get it off my head), and I paid hundreds of dollars less going to her and I love my weave.

LOVED THIS SALON. I was a walk in and was welcomed with open arms. there is a guy that runs the shampoo bowl and his hands felt amazing on my scalp! I’m wearing a weave so the appointment ran longer because I had to sit under the dryer for like an hour… but the services are very affordable! will be going back in two weeks. highly recommend !!

I had a great experience at this salon. I was able to get a next day appointment at a convenient time. The staff is courteous and friendly and the service was excellent! My hair was done by Tim Johnson and it looks and feels amazing! Also, the hair washer Deah (sounds like Leah) was really great and she made my head feel sooo good! :) The price for my shampoo, trim, and style was $ 60 and there’s also a package of 4 visits (including all the previously mentioned services plus a conditioning treatment) for $ 200 which I took advantage of so I’m going back in 2 weeks. Yay! If you are looking for a small, friendly salon with a comfortable «neighborhood» feel, try Tim Johnson Salon!

BEWARE ladies… VERY Unprofessional. He scheduled me an appt – showed up – then walked out the door ¹⁵⁄₂₀ mins. later to eat without a word to me while I just sat there. I finally got up and walked out. His wife works in the salon with him and she apparently is just as unprofessional. I was very disappointed b/​c I’d heard great things about this guy but I’ll never know because I will NEVER give my money to someone proven to be so unprofessional nor will I ever refer anyone to him.
