Line 25 people deep — only one cashier. Reading other reviews this seems to be a habit which indicates they don’t care. They were also out of 5 case items and white chocolate. Staffing and ordering fail

This place sucks! All of our 4 drinks were disgusting and our order was messed up. I mean who the heck could possibly mess up a freaking coffee order? Beyond that they were slow and the line seemed forever. These people who work here need to learn how to multi-task and have better customer service. If not, maybe they should re-think about getting a job elsewhere.

It’s inside the hotel and close to a conference center it seems. Long lines that go all the way into the hotel lobby. Will do for urgent caffeine fix while in downtown as options are limited. They closed really early when I was there, don’t remember the exact time, but was surprised, especially for a downtown location. Also, there was a girl by the table next to me who took off her high heal shoes and put them right on the table. No one in the staff said anything.

This is not a regular Starbucks but rather just a licensed store, so they don’t honor your rewards as a regular customer. Would not honor my free refill as a «Starbucks» and did not tell me that until I tried to refill. I mean how much would they actually lose by doing this. Rather now I will not come back and I am writing a bad review. Seems stupid to lose customers for this policy. The name of the coffee game is to keep them in the store and buying. Not drive them off! Stupid management!

Ran in for a quick coffee run. Fast and friendly service; they also have a drive thru. I tend to come here often when I’m in town since it’s close to my girlfriends place.

The gals seems frazzled and they r back in the dark ages without a scanner for Starbucks gold card but mark made my cappuccino perfect. They also don’t honor free refills with gold card.

I really appreciate the team here, they always make my drinks perfect and they listen when I come in from the office needing to vent. I love having them across the street from my job and am thankful to have such wonderful people behind the counter! Thank you!

I was so happy to see the welcome sign as I drove up to the Marriott to check in… Starbucks! After reading the reviews, I was skeptical about getting my tried and true latte. But I’m a rebel and I did it anyway. I didn’t come at the wee-early hours of the day, but around 10:30am I stood in line. There is more than likely a line at any Starbucks and this one is no different, plus it is attached to a conference center. Conference Starbucks are always busy. The staff were very friendly and I got my drink with the standard wait time. Tasted good. I’m thankful I got by with a great experience. Try your luck and you too may be pleasantly surprised like me. Terrible coffee. You can usually trust Starbucks to be the same at each location. This was one of the worst cups of coffee I have ever had. Tasted like they were re-using the grounds over and over. Had to return coffee twice before I got a decent cup of coffee. They are in the Marriott lobby so maybe they think they have enough hotel guests and don’t need to maintain Starbucks usual high standards to get repeat business. I will say that the staff was very nice about the problem and kept making lattes till they got it right.

Went to this Starbucks in the morning before a conference and on two separate days they added a 20% tip to my debit card purchases without mentioning this to me or putting it on my receipt. While I feel I shouldn’t have to tip on a small purchase I have the right to be told that I am being charged extra.

Didn’t think it could be as bad as the reviews, and I was desperate for caffeine. A sloppy, unfriendly, lackadaisical vibe here. This may actually be run by a competitor with fake signage and uniforms just to give the chain a bad name. But they do serve caffeine.

Located inside Marriott across from Raleigh convention center. No other coffee within walking distance. They have a monopoly and they know it. Premium price for below average service. If you are going to a conference at the convention center, Stop somewhere before or bring a thermos!

Worst. Starbucks. Ever. Worse than an airport Starbucks. My husband and I are self-professed coffee snobs. So much so that we are part owners in a small coffee roastery in our home town. When we travel(which is often) we often depend on Starbucks for their consistency. It may not be the best, but at least it should taste the same wherever we go. We travel to Raleigh at least half a dozen times a year for my husband’s work and we always stay at the Raleigh Marriott City Center. There is a Starbucks in the lobby. For at least the last two visits, the drinks have been terrible. I always order a venti sugar-free vanilla whole milk latte(usually iced) and my husband always orders a venti sugar-free caramel whole milk latte(usually hot). Every single espresso drink I have gotten from this location for at least the last two visits have tasted like vanilla or caramel milk… like there is no espresso in them whatsoever. Their espresso shots are obviously WAY under extracted. I don’t know if its an issue with the calibration on their machine or in their training protocol, but its got to be one of the two because the problem is across the board — different baristas, different times of day, busy or slow, same result. Do yourself a favor and walk 4 blocks down the street to The Morning Times where they know how to pull a shot and use quality beans.

This Starbuck’s does not honor syrup or soy discounts for Starbuck’s pre-paid card carrying members, and does not tell you that in advance or have any signs indicating this. I addressed this with managment and they essentially indicated they do not tell customers this because it would drive away business. Not cool– I’ll be sticking to Peace Street’s location in the future.
