I have driven past this location several times. Even stopped to walk the dog and never, ever noticed the Sertoma Arts Center adjacent to the Shelley Lake Park. What a shame. This is a cool place. The draw for me, was the Arts Fair featuring a few intrepid artists peddling their wares. I suspect some or most had taken classes at the arts center and had a mix of eagerness and new skills to make talking to them all the more enjoyable. There was an artist who specialized in lithographs, whose work was erie and cool. Also a couple of book/journal makers who were eager and interested in talking to you about how they make what they make. Refreshing and worth a visit.

Art Classes and Exhibitions! When Classes are being held you can NOT see the Main Installation(you may want to call ahead of time if you want to see the Majority of Art), still they have two other«galleries» as they say(a «Hallway Gallery» and«Display Case»)… Some Artwork is on display Outside! Classes are taught by Age Groups and their are Studios(you must be a Member) where Artists work on individual Projects with Mutual Encouragement(two of the Artists told me)! Last Weekend they had an Annual Art Fair with over 40 Artists, Singers, Dancers, Romancers and Food Trucks! One of the Artists told me it was their biggest event for this organization! Some Hiking Trails and Shelley Lake are close by Sertoma Park.
