I will never shop at Sears again. I purchased some clothing items at and after receiving them I needed to return a few things. I took the items to the store rather than shipping them back and waited 25 minutes for them to figure out how to return an online purchased item. Two of the items could not be returned at all because even though I ordered from , they were K-Mart items so I would need to go to K-Mart to return them. It was unbelievable. It is no wonder the store is doing so poorly. A very poor business plan.

Sears is well known for their great appliances, so my fiancé and I came straight here to start our search for a washer and dryer. Within two seconds of being greeted by the sales rep, we were uncomfortable and wanted to leave. I even mentioned multiple times how we weren’t purchasing today, just wanted to look around, even said thanks and goodbye… And the woman wouldn’t go away. The pushy, over eager sales tactics have lost our business there entirely because we have no desire to return. Too bad.

I was in the market for a bed frame, and Sears had the best price locally for the one I wanted. Luckily, this location had one«in stock,» because I was in a hurry and only had a small window of time in which I could come by the store and pick it up. So I ordered the bed frame on the website and selected same-day store pickup. So far, so good, right? Well, since I was tight on time and didn’t want to drive all the way out to the store for nothing, I called ahead to try to make sure the item was actually – you know – in stock. Nobody in that department to answer the phone. Try another department. «Let me transfer you.» Call dropped. Um… well, here’s the confirmation email, so maybe it’s actually there and I can go pick it up this afternoon. At the store, no record of my order on the computer. Maybe they can look it up some other way? Nope, still nothing. Maybe they can just start over and get me the bed frame I want, since it’s in the store? «No, it’s not in stock.» Wait, what? «Well, there’s *one* in stock, but it’s the floor model; that’s probably why the website thought there was one here. But we can’t sell you that one. How about we order one for you?» How long will that take? «About a week.» How many strikes is that? Fine, I’ll just go back home and order it from somebody else. Good customer service would have gone ahead and given me the floor model at a healthy discount and apologized for the inconvenience, then gone and fixed the website and phone system.

This Sears tool department has absolutely this worst customer service of any Sears store I’ve tried to shop in. …and I’ve shopped in them from coast to coast. I expect poor service from unmotivated employees at Sears, but this is the worst. From the assistant manager on down, nobody cares. Don’t waste your time here.

This is the best place to go to for tools in the world. I just love craftsman hand tools with their lifetime warranty. When you buy a Craftsman hand tool if it ever breaks, just take it back to any Sears. That will not ask for your receipt. They will just tell you to go pick a new one off the shelf. Even if your grandfather bought the tool, they will still honor the lifetime warranty as long as the tool is in your hand. That is what I call a warranty, good customer service, and a company that believe is making a good quality product. As far as clothes, that are a bit lacking in that department. I went in looking for a Men’s dress shirt, and their section is almost non-existent. Hate to say it, but JC Penney has a dress shirt section 5 times larger than this store. They do have plenty of empty space.
