Salon Alchemy

I moved to Raleigh in April and decided to check out this salon as it is very close to my home. I see Drew and have had nothing but great experiences. He does a balayage color and cut. I would recommend him for sure.

Beautiful salon, friendly environment, professional staff, good haircut. $ 60 for a quick cut and shampoo… a little pricey.

I’m new to the area, and ALWAYS hesitant to get a hair cut. (Bad move on my part because my hair needs it with all the home coloring I do!)
Anyway, I was able to get an appointment with Drew. Upon my arrival, the salon was easy to find. It was very clean and I loved the décor, aesthetically pleasing. I was greeted by a young lady with a very polished and fabulous look of her own. I sat down to wait and Drew came to get me only a minute later.
He was very friendly and made me feel at ease immediately. He’s knowledgeable and cuts with confidence. And the best part, he cut my hair exactly as I wanted!
In short, the salon was fabulous, the people were fabulous and my experience was fabulous! I recommend everyone give the place a try.

I just moved to NC and needed a hair cut to go with my new life. Walked in and was greeted by some friendly people. The place was very nice and super clean. Shea came out and introduce herself, and gave me my amazing haircut. This was the first time I was going to ever get it short and she cut off 10 inches and for me that was a big change. I couldn’t be happier and plan to go back. Highly recommend Shea she is amazing and I’m so in love with my new hair. 1^st hair salon in NC was a success! One thing for sure is that I will be back :)

I’ve been Mary’s client for more than a decade (getting into specific numbers ages us both, so let’s leave that out, but it’s been a long time), and I would never trust anyone else to touch my hair. We’ve done every cut, color and style over the year — brown, blonde, bleach out, bright red, almost black, you name it, waist length up to it’s current very short pixie — and I’ve always been happy. She listens to me, and also talks me out of things that will look bad. She’s an amazing stylist, and when she opened her salon, I knew I could trust that she would only hire people as good as her. Drew and Shea (Shea is the only person other than Mary to touch my hair in a very, very long time, and she did it wonderfully for my best friend’s wedding when Mary was out of town) are both awesome as well. I cannot recommend this salon enough.

Jesse needs to have her skills rechecked and the salon needs to turn on some lights!!! She massacred my hair and didn’t even cut what the picture was I brought her. She even told me that she wasn’t understanding the whole picture; what’s not to understand it’s a damn bob haircut, you can’t mess that up. Then she proceeded to take a razor to my thin hair!!! I will never recommend her or return to her but yet she keeps sending me emails to please return!!! I told her how dissatisfied I was in the cut and she still charged me! Thhe pictures posted are nothing like the salon she is in unless they have two salons!

Shhhh… I don’t want the secret to get out but the stylists at Salon Alchemy are the best! Very happy with the service & setting. Have been a client for years. But don’t tell anyone– I still need appointments to be available!

Drew is amazing!
I have a very full head of natural curls and he tackled them with ease!
My color looks amazing, my ringlets have more BOING to them, and my Naomi Campbell walk has never been stronger.
Drew (& crew) gave great service and kept me giggling and feeling fabulous.

I love this salon. The staff here are very professional and friendly. Drew does a fantastic job with color and cuts. He is a talented artist and has great experience. I wouldn’t go to anyone else. They are very good at fitting in me his schedule and always make me feel right at home. Their prices are also very reasonable considering the amazing results that you receive. I would recommend everyone to go to Drew for their next hair cut.

Opened in our neighborhood. Excited to try. Got one decent haircut. Made another appointment for one month later. Canceled on me hour before, did offer another stylist 3 hours later than original time so I went and he was an hour or more behind. Was cutting someone’s hair and had someone in front of me
Poor service and no respect of my time

I’m absolutely in love with the amazing service I receive from Drew. He cuts colors and styles with great experience. The feel inside the salon is relaxing and comfortable. The staff has always been great fitting me into Drews schedule. They have a great selection of products. Also I think the price point is very reasonable considered the amazing results.

I called and got a same day appointment with Shea, she was great. It had been months since my last hair appointment and she worked her magic with my hair. The salon is comparably priced to other local salons but I was still hesitant to spend $ 50 on a haircut (I’m used to spending around $ 25), it was worth it though. I will definitely be a repeat customer.

I’ve been seeing Drew for my cuts and color for more than 5 years now, and he’s been great. The new salon chose a different product line for color than I’d had before, and it’s absolutely fantastic. My color is a very light blonde, and my new shade is by far the best I’ve had in the 15 years I’ve been coloring it. Texture feels better too. They always use and recommend great products, and all of the staff members are always very friendly and accomodating. Highly recommend checking out this salon.

I’m new to Raleigh and needed to find someone I could trust for a dramatic haircut. I made an appt to see Mary after reading the good reviews on here. Thank God she is everything the previous reviewers said she’d be!
I walked in with an idea and a couple pictures and Mary was able to collaborate with me to give me exactly what I wanted. She offered helpful suggestions along the way and a lot of help teaching me how to style my new ‘do. I am so happy with the service and the results, I can’t wait to go back!

Beautiful salon and fantastic stylists! Shea is my go to for all hair essentials! If you haven’t grabbed an appointment its a must. I leave with a perfect color and cut every time

Great stylists, incredible new space. Easily the best salon in Raleigh. I drive over an hour to come here, and it’s worth it… nobody does hair like Mary!

Best salon in Raleigh. I have incredibly problematic hair, and lots of it, and Shea and Mary went above and beyond to make me happy.

I was in desperate need of a haircut and Salon Alchemy is located in the shops where I live so I gave them a shot and am so glad I did! Mary (the owner) was sweet, accommodating and talented. I will definitely be back!
