Was a little concerned that the tools were not obviously sterile. They were just laying on the table. Were they already sterilized? Who knows? Doubt I will go back since I prefer to be able to see how and where the tools are sterilized. Also my nails didn’t look that good either. Some of my old polish was not removed(a few flecks) and could be seen and the tips of my nails had so little polish you could easily see the tips. Was just okay.

My daughter in law and I both got our nails done here today. When you go make sure you have some time. It’s not an in and out service. We were their for a few hours. They have Wi-Fi so you can definitely play on your phone while you are waiting. We love our nails. My daughter in law did acrylic with designs and I just did straight gel No color or french tip. Just natural nail. Ive done a lot of research before I had my nails done and by far gel is much better than acrylic. Definitely all about preference. Absolutely love the job they did and I am not one to get my nails done ever. So, this was definitely an experience and a good one at that. Ive heard horror stories and No horror here. Can be a bit pricy if you do not know what you are getting or the prices they charge, Which the prices are not posted anywhere. They are in a pamphlet on the counter. If you tell them what you want they will do it. Length of nail, shape color design everything. Very accommodating. Great service just don’t be surprised when you are their for a few hours.

Lee did a good job. The polish i chose was too thick so i think he should have changed it out. That being said… the salon is nice and the staff was pleasant. I think i will do a pedicure next time to see if that service is good as well. Yes I would recommend this salon to a friend.

really enjoyed my mani/pedi/brow wax. Very detailed and listened to what I wanted. Friendly techs huge space(despite what the outside looks like). Clean, organized, and name brand product.

DON’T GOHERE! This place seemed really nice and has a great deal on the mani/pedi which is why I decided to check it out with a friend. To be honest I had great service and my nails looked really good but my friend didn’t have the same luck. Her nails looked terrible, I could’ve done a better job and about a week later she contracted a staph infection in one of her fingers. The tools the lady used on her were not sterilized! She went to the doctor and had to have her finger cut open so it could be drained. No matter how good the service I got was I am not going back to a place that I know does not keep equipment properly sterilized. It’s not worth it, I would rather pay more and go somewhere else that I can trust. SAVEYOURMONEYANDYOURFINGERS, GOSOMEWHEREELSE!

At the recommendation of my friend, I headed over to Queen Nails for a little Saturday afternoon girl time and some much needed footsy repair. When you first walk into the salon, the first thing you’ll notice is that it has a very contemporary vibe(think stained concrete floors, bright red walls, actually tasteful art and funky walls, etc). I was impressed… it looked more like a hair salon on Glenwood(but with normal pricing… $ 25 for a pedi). I despise waiting, but within 10 minutes or so they were ready for me. I ended up having the same nail tech who is at my regular place(he explained that they all moonlight), so I can’t really say it was spectacular in terms of the pedi… but I liked the vibe(heck, even the bathroom was off the hook). ;) What I did notice was that they will give one heck of a foot massage(going on 5 – 10 min) if you have the right person(sadly, I did not get one,). So, try to get one of the ladies.

This past Saturday, my Mom, sister, and I stopped in to Queen Nails to pamper ourselves a bit in honor of Mom’s birthday and us three being able to be together, which is already a treat in itself. I didn’t know about Queen Nails until I got a coupon in the mail from Coupon Clipper so ultimately that’s what got us there, but upon our arrival they had an even better special! Pedicure, manicure, and paraffin wax hand treatment for $ 35. All 3 of us chose the special and after picking our colors got settled into the chairs. Now I’m someone who’s pretty much permanently got tension and discomfort in my back but though their massage capabilities were weak, I was comfortable. My sister on the other hand felt their power a bit too much. Mom was perfectly content. They washed and rubbed our feet well with sweet smelling spearmint scrub. It was so relaxing. All 3 of us were taken care of very well by each person who was assigned to us. I got kangarooby red, Mom got a darker red, and my sister got a fun blue green color on her toes. We got a nice clear coat on our finger tips and were sent to cool. The lady taking care of me shaped my nails perfectly — I like them squarish, but my thumbnails kinda rounded. She obliged to my requests and even complimented me on how well I take care of my nails. I may be a busy girl, but I try! After our nails were dry each of us dipped our hands in the wax and 5 minutes later the wax was pealed off leaving behind very moisturized hands. Queen Nails isn’t a very big shop, but it’s got enough. 6 massage pedicure chairs and 4 tables for manicures. They don’t serve drinks there. Nothing glam, but they do it well. Unlike many salons, there isn’t some overwhelming smell of nail polish or nail polish remover overwhelming you as you step in. It’s overall a very quiet, calm, soft scented place. My sister’s person, Violet, was super friendly and had tons of personality; however my Mom’s guy said no more than 5 words and mine was nice but really quiet too. I stepped in to Queen Nails very tense, stressed, and just craving relaxation. I left feeling calm, excited, and proud of my hands and toes. I’ll be back, especially since my nails are still shining and both my hands and toes are still looking pretty royal sleek!
