We staged our home after we moved out of it to try to give it some life when showing to potential buyers. We saw it in person several days later and came home to find their folder laying on our front porch with our personal information listed — including the code to our lockbox in big, bold letters. I didn’t make a huge deal about it and they were very apologetic but still, that was very disappointing and could have been very bad for both our home and for their items!
The furniture/​décor we received was very traditional yet very dated. After a few months, per our request, they switched out the most dated pieces (a set of chairs) and added in a few different throw pillows.
After a few more months, we just aren’t getting the feedback from potential buyers we wanted. While not all of this is credited to the staging décor, we still asked if they could make updates. This time, we were said it would cost us $ 500 to do so. Since the current items are so outdated, its just not worth it to us to pay this amount for new staging when theres a chance we’ll get the same types of items again.
