How did we ever survive without air conditioning? I like open windows and fresh air but sometimes, just sometimes, the fans can’t keep up with the sticky hot air. That’s when I like air conditioning. I came home after being out of town to quickly discover the outdoor temperature was cooler than indoors. It was late. I was tired; so I didn’t start thinking about a repair person until a sleepless night cursing the fans that weren’t keeping up. Piedmont added me to the calendar for first thing in the morning and that’s when they came. I didn’t even realize the team was there until I saw some people outside my back door. Fortunately, since I was expecting them, it wasn’t as unnerving as it would have been. They came; went right to the unit and right to work. The cool air started flowing shortly thereafter. Despite the weirdness of having a repairman go direct to the problem without announcing their arrival and when finished show up at the back door, they were polite, efficient, got the job done, and for a reasonable price considering the last minute call.
