Super nice staff that will give you great customer service with a smile or a joke. I do not think that they have ever met a stranger. Extremely knowledgable about everything firearm related and there is also a great selection of firearms for sale and rent. There is usually not a long wait to use the range and if there is, they make the time fly by with great conversation. I’m glad that we found this range and will definitely keep coming back.

This place was my first exposure to handguns of any sort/shape or description. As 1⁄3 of an all day bachelor party experience, my best man rented out the back room, and six of us went shooting. It’s important to note that none of us had previous shooting experience. Sure, we all had a friend with a BB gun growing up, and some of us had unfruitful hunting experiences with relatives where they let us handle the weapon with the safety on. But actually shooting more than a round? Nobody. Part of the fee for the party was to cover the assignment of a range professional who would give us instruction in how to safely handle, load, aim and properly fire the guns in question. The other part would cover ears(sound muffling headsets) and eyes(protective eyewear). Our instructor brought us several calibers of weapon: a .45, 29MMs, and .357 revolver. The instruction was excellent, and he set us up with targets, critiqued our party’s form, and gave us suggestions on how we could improve. He was patient and professional at all times, especially considering the limited experience of our group. It was a fantastic day, and is the most unique and useful guy’s night out I think I’ve spent anywhere. The folks here are pros, and I’ve used them a few times since. Always knowledgeable, always professional. They may be a bit stern at times, but considering you’re handling fully loaded weapons, I’d say it’s a seriousness that is warranted.

The staff here is un-believable. They are knowledgeable on almost any subject. I have purchased 5 guns here and will continue to buy more. Also, nice range. As for the negative reviews on here, I think there are some less than honest people(surprise) on Unilocal trying to trash this place. If you want a gun, this is the place to go.

I have now purchased three guns from this location. My first being a 9 mm Glock right after Christmas. Although the store was packed the young man that helped me answered all of my questions about the gun as well as ammo. The next fire arm purchased was a Barnes Precision AR15 this gun is made locally in Apex and is truly quality. Even when all the other stores in the area were raising there prices on ar’s they did not. My third gun purchased was a HKMP5 rimfire 22. Another quality machine. I was extremely impressed with this machine. The Staff has been very helpful all times that I have visited. I find the prices to be fair and the selection excellent.

This review is based mainly on the range here. As I have not experience fully the sales part. First off, the staff is great, very informative and happy to help. Now the range. The fees are very high to just shoot here, at $ 20 per person. If you own your own gun and ammo it works fine for range trips here and there. However if you don’t own a gun, and are looking to rent here, the price for the gun itself is only $ 10, however you have to pay through the nose for ammo as they require you to buy their ammo when renting. Price per box of 9 mm were $ 25 – 30, crazy high as Walmart sells the same box for $ 10 – 12. All said and done after an hour at this range for two people racked up almost a 100 bucks to just shoot. Unfortunately there are not many places around that rent guns so there is no nearby competition to lower the pricing. The range itself was great, nice padded booths with ample space to lay out stuff, the lightning was okay, not excellent, kind of dark overall. The retrieval system works but is old and sometimes hangups occur. The air was clean, and the sound was dampened down, but in such a small space, expect it to be loud. Overall, the range is adequate but the prices are ridiculous to shoot. I suggest taking the trip to Wake County Firearms Training Center, $ 10 per lane per hour, meaning you can take up to 4 people per lane, much cheaper, downside is you have to take a two hour safety class to start(But is good forever) and they do not rent guns.
