Paradise Hookah Lounge

When it comes to getting hit with a cover charge to get in like your going to the club at a hookah lounge is by far rediculous. Paradise is OK but not worth it if you have to pay to get in.

I am actually writing this from paradise. I came here with my girls for Vday. One of walked in then the «bouncer» came out immediately after she walked in and tried to charge us a $ 15 cover (@ 8:51). He was a complete jerk! This has by far been the worse hookah experience. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME!

So the hookah hits well, once you finally get it, but overall… this place isn’t that great. I’ve been to the other places around Raleigh and they’re a lot better in both price and ambiance. We tried this place out because it was new and nearby and we won’t be back. It’s just a hang out for all the teenagers who have nothing else better to do and can’t go drink. My boyfriend and I feel a tad out of place here.

Paradise is a nice place, good quality on the hookahs but there’s a few things wrong about this place. First the guy who works at the door taking the money is so rude !!! I’ve never met such a guy so rude to girls ! Also there is no variety in the music and plays towards one audience.

I visited this place for the first time and I have visited a lot of hooka bars before and this place by far the worst place I ever been too, the table we sat on was very dirty and even when the waitress gave us our order she didn’t clean the table, I ordered hooka and American coffee the coffee tasted like hot water not coffe, the hooka tasted like garbage and was so heavy I complained to them about the hooka being so heavy and asked if I can change the flavor they told me that I cannot change it and if so they will charge me for another one, he ended up blowing in it and told me that’s it tasted like that because I’m not used to the flavor, the workers are all Mexicans who can barely speak English, and not to mention the annoying Spanish music and the cold temp, looks like they have poor heating system, so after all the place is dirty, noisy, annoying I will never ever come back to this place ever again.

Lovely place to look at with great service. They check on you frequently and always are on top of your coals. They have this really neat option to use a fruit as the part that burns the shisha. I’ve only I had a pineapple used but it added a sweetness to it. They have a large selection of shisha too and some of the bleeds aren’t on the normal menu but the staff will provide a list if asked.
Their coffee, tea and other drinks are very good too. I have yet to have something that I didn’t like.
I haven’t had any of the deserts yet but they look lovely. I hope that the owner finds a market with them and can widen the variety.
One of the best parts is the booths. It brings an intimacy to the place that is fantastic.

That was my review about 2 months ago. Sadly this place has not lived up to what it was in the opening weeks. Which is odd because normally in the opening weeks they are working out the kinks and trying to figure out everything.
The last time I went the service was rude. Instead of trying to take more drink orders and talking about options on the menu to up-​sale the waitress took our order for hookah and drink, grabbed the menu’s, and came back ONCE to ask us if we needed anything. The next time we saw her she slapped our check down on the table with out a word. This girl was not the same girl who had been serving us in the above review. We were not done ordering drinks and probably would have ordered more if this had not of happened. She lost sales because of it and tips as well.
I don’t know what happened to the really great manager in the first few weeks of its opening and the great wait staff who made sure that everyone was happy and comfortable but its gone now. My group of friends went from being regulars once every week or every other week to not really wanting to go there.
I’ve heard similar stories from a couple of friends that this has been their experience.
I was only going to give this place 2 stars but because of the original review I’ll keep it at three then update this to 2 stars once I’ve visited again if the bad service keeps happening.

From what i heard, this is a new place in raleigh .
They have many hookah flavor varieties. i had grape mint .
they also have a cake display, with cheese cake, baklava and many other options.
they also have good tea and mint.
the decoration is very nice and oriental. The service is great. Highly recommended.
