Nature’s Pure Essentials

I am addicted to this place. We have started turning our household into a less chemical environment, starting with the bathroom. We love the Camamu soaps, partly because they smell good and partly because they are vegan.
They also offer aromatherapy here. I took one of the classes being offered two months ago and it was definitely educational. I didn’t realize that you could use this stuff so much in your every day life!
Downside — it’s HOT in there in the summer!

Nature’s Pure Essentials fits into the neighborhood perfectly.
It has a bohemian atmosphere meant to inspire relaxation, I think, all in the name of finding that perfect essential oil, lotion, or soap. In fact, the minute I opened the door, I knew exactly what I was going to find. Between the scented candles, the natural, scented soaps and the diffuser near the door, I found exactly what I expected.
The owner is an aromatherapist who can make recommendations or personalize a fragrance. One of her techniques involves allowing a customer to smell several different oils to locate the one that resonates. I guess it says something about my frame of mind, at least at the time, since none of them particularly appealed to me enough to say «that’s the one». I was really there to look at body lotions and soaps, which like the oils, are all natural.
It’s a good store to browse through, and the staff is helpful, although sometimes a bit too enthusiastic. Honestly, it was exhausting dealing with all the enthusiasm. And that makes me wonder if that wasn’t the point of the aroma sampling. hmmmmmm.
