Pizza was just OK. Ribs were nothing but gristle and bones. Salad bar was just OK. First time at this location. Not worth the price of admission to me.

Always good to be on a restaurant email list! Monday I got an email saying that on that particular Monday spaghetti dinners were BOGO, so I decided to do that instead of cooking. I had the spaghetti & meatballs, my guest had it with meat sauce. They were both quite a filling portion. My guest stopped at about the halfway point, and our server gladly put the rest of her meal into a to go container. Two things are different here when dining at lunch and at dinner. The Milton’s buffet is only available during lunch hours, and you pay at the counter when leaving. During the dinner hours you pay the server at the table.

Well now that I’m a regular I suppose I should review. One of the best pizzas in town. Great crust and sauce. I only wish they had sliced onions instead of chopped. Bugs me I don’t know why. Love the Salad bar always very fresh. Again sliced onion would be better. My favorite pasta is the sinatra by far. Always good. That dessert they have with the butterscotch is to die for. Love. Much love for the service. Best service ever. Always feel welcome like you are arriving at a friend’s house.

We looked up close Italian restaurants and decided to dine here. We were greeted by a very friendly hostess and led to our table. Our server was also friendly and very attentive throughout our meal. I really wanted to like this place, but the food was bland, very oily, and tasted like it came from the freezer aisle at the grocery store. Maybe their pizzas are better? Not sure, since we ordered the chicken fettuccine Alfredo and the seafood pasta plate. The calamari was rubbery, under seasoned, and tasted like it was in the freezer past its expiration date. The only upside was the service and friendly staff, they were great and the reason for the 3 stars; however, the food was seriously lacking and for food it’s a 1 star. We really wanted to like this place, but the food was very unappetizing, & won’t be dining here again.

I just spent $ 39.26 on wings &2-spaghetti dinners, 7÷21÷15 @ 6:05pm. Unfortunately, the wings were either old or became cold on my 3-minute drive home. But, worst of all was the Spaghetti dinner. The pasta was thin & extremely watery(not drained well) and the sauce lacked flavor. Who makes pasta sauce without garlic, oregano, salt & pepper? I would have preferred eating at Walmart or McDonalds! My wife loves this place, but I have been dissatisfied. With all the NYers in the area, you would think the owners would do their best to provide a great meal for our executive living community vs opening a can of bland spaghetti sauce. While this is my opinion, I am usually right as I am an excellent cook. Who can destroy spaghetti? I did have sausage added to my spaghetti and it was delicious! They did something right.

I’ve had decent service all except one time. I work in a restaurant and wouldn’t just not tip someone, but I almost complained, which I never do. My husband loves the salad bar. The last time we went we had a great young red headed guy that kind of saved us. We were giving them a last chance.

It is always a pleasure to go to Milton’s. Great food, the buffet is something to see, and the people are always nice. To me, nice people will overcome average food, But Milton’s(locally owned) has both.

This is my favorite North Raleigh restaurant. You HAVE to try their coconut butterscotch dessert! I’ve ordered several different dishes and all have been terrific. Prices are very reasonable and the salad bar is terrific.

Last Thursdays impromptu lunch date involved a salad bar and splitting a hot and just right crisp with bubbly cheese calzone. My half of the calzone was stuffed with red peppers, crumbled Italian sausage and the final topping escapes me. The dish was juicy but not overly so. I’d never tried the Italian sausage as I typically find it to be too greasy and heavy for me. I was pleasantly surprised to find the sausage while hearty was not disproportionatly heavy and filled with grease. My red peppers were not as crisp as I would have preferred but given that they were a topping in a calzone, they are not meant to be crisp and in this case, were not wilting so it was well balanced. DIY salad from the bar was filled with crisp veggies starting with spinich, juicy diced tomatoes, satisfyingly crunchy bell peppers and topped with Greek dressing. Once again score two, for the small business. Food delish and fresh and wait staff continue to be knowledgeable and very courteous.

Needed a quick meal for the family. Purchased a small sausage pizza and medium Milton special. My son ate most of the small alone in one sitting. My husband ate most of the medium in one sitting. They never had the pizza since they usually order the burgers. They were pleased that I went with my favorite and ordered the pizza.

Service was good, but the food was just OK. It is really over priced. As we left the restaurant my husband said«we could have gone to Cheese Cake Factory for what we spent there». We only had 4 people.2 adults 2 kids and only 1 mixed drink. Several other pizza places in Wake Forest that have better pizza.

Appetizer sampler was simple but enjoyed by kids(chicken fingers, mozzarella sticks(generic), and basically garlic bread with cheese melted). I loved my 8″ pizza with everything + jalapeños and enjoyed salad bar which was nothing exceptional but additional 3.99 was a deal. «Special» margarita was not good(what was I thinking?) service was good on a busy Friday night. 11 year old loved his Italian sandwich and wife practically licked the plate of her chicken parm. Kids meals had healthy side options which was nice.(At least my daughter ordered the tangerines instead of fries.)

The family votes came in for where to eat tonight and it was a unanimous decision! Milton’s consistently has great service from genuinely friendly people and tasty food. Pizzas are awesome but make sure to hit the salad bar too. Lunch or dinner — you can’t go wrong here!

Super Friendly! This was our first time to this location. Husband was craving pizza, so we decided to try their incredibly inexpensive lunch buffet. We were greeted by at least 4 people when we first arrived and made to feel very welcome the whole time we were there. From our Server to the young guy replenishing the salad bar, and folks in between, everyone seemed to be glad to be there, which made us glad to be there. For about ten bucks each we had quite the variety of pizzas. Every time we got up there were new ones. They also offered garlic green beans, wings, beef ribs, mac & cheese, corn fritters, yellow squash, pastas and sauces, tilapia, waffle fries, baked chicken, and a salad bar with a good selection(among other things). Plus some yummy desserts. For a couple bucks each we had iced tea for me and a diet soft drink for Husband that were kept filled. There was a real 70’s vibe to the food that hit the spot for our Sunday main meal. You sure won’t leave hungry!(And yes, we went to the gym later)

Family friendly — great prices– great service. Food is good, not spectacular, but we always enjoy it. Kids always eat plenty and I have picky eaters. Gluten free pasta and pizza are good(pasta is better).

I wish I could do two differing reviews because dinner deserves 5 stars however, we had the buffet and I honestly felt it deserved one star. The food seemed Luke warm and clearly the fresh factor was far from present. Perhaps it was because we just missed the lunch rush or the quality of food is cheaper than what is served to full fare dinner guests. Either way I definitely would rather pay full fare menu than get the buffet. The buffet was graced with about five to six differing pizzas and a variety of sauces to dress a make your own pasta dish. As for the salad bar which looked like hurricane kids came through right before me made me kind of tremble at the thought of what germs were left behind. Now to the credit of the workers I did see many doing their best at cleaning up and restocking but I only had thirty minutes so lunch goes by real fast.

Consistently wonderful food with great service. The variety of pizza on the lunch buffet is wonderful. I love the calzone too. They have a great salad bar and dessert bar. I just love that I can always go to Milton’s and have the same delicious meal any week. Also the wings and soups are delicious.

So after seeing my review here on Unilocal the owner contacted me and asked that I return, to give them another try. I finally made it back last week, without any prior notice to him, and I must say, it was a vast improvement and more like the Milton’s I experienced on my first few visits. Everything was fresh, cooked nicely and a great selection. Whoever thought of having clam chowder at a pizza place had a good idea! It was a chilly day and there were so many clams in that thar chowder! Mmm, tasty! They had just put out a fresh batch of one of my favorites there — corn fritters. Crispy on the outside and nice and tasty on the inside. Yummy! So, I’m happy to report that Milton’s for me at least was back on track and my thanks to the owner for coaxing me back! You have restored my faith once again!
