I’ve been to Lonerider twice now. The first time was to use a great Groupon: two flights and a pint glass plus a bomber, I think. The second time was recently. I was on returning some tap handles and met up with some friends for a a couple beers. The beers were exceptional as always. They had their year-rounds plus close to ten specialty beers, seasonal or small batch. Our bartender Tammy was super friendly and let us sample a couple before making any decisions. If I didn’t already love the beer and the space, I would go back for the service. Extra perks: dog-friendly, food trucks on the weekend, and lots of roaming space. Can you say winner?

Stopped in when I had a couple of hours to kill near the airport. Cool little place in an industrial area, with friendly staff and patrons and very good beer. Brews cover a wide range of styles and everything I tasted was relish. Regularly scheduled food trucks take care of the hungry. We’ll be back!

Nice, but crowd is a bit past my age range on a Monday night. And The Hideout(enclosed/heated patio) is a bit cramped. Wander what’s inside… Always good beer from Lonerider… well…not just good, pretty great!

Atmosphere and good beer. You really can’t ask for much more! It gets pretty crowded, so for faster service stand near the bar and sip on your beer… it may take a few minutes.

It’s about as good as it gets. I love the warehouse, «feels unfinished,» industrial vibe of Lonerider. They make great beer. They have 3 – 4 year-round taps, 3 – 4 seasonal taps, and then about 3 – 4 small batch«Ales of ill repute.» It’s an easy place to grab a beer. Definitely good craft beer without the craft beer snobbery crowd. It’s all good.

I have been to Lonerider a few times now and they brew some great beers! We came Saturday afternoon to enjoy a few beers before dinner. Turns out it was their Magnificent 77 Launch party but unfortunately they were sold out. They also had a band which was fun to sing along and sip on my beer. The tap room itself is small but they set up covered picnic tables out front for more space. The bartenders were slammed but they did a great job at keeping everyone hydrated! As far as the beer goes, I love Sweet Josie & Shotgun Betty; however, I opted to try a few half pours of the Seasonals: Addie’s Revenge, Hoppy Ki Yay and Tombstone Reserve. I did not think that I would like the Tombstone Reserve but it was definitely my favorite out of the three. For my next beer I really wanted the Madame which is a raspberry wheat beer but I was sad to find out that they were sold out of that too so I chose the Sweet Josie. They do not have this beer at the brewery right now but one of my favorites is the Deadeye Jack, it is a delicious porter! The next time that I visit, I will probably try a few of the beers that they have available in cans. It is also neat to sit and watch the planes coming into RDU to land. I do recommend Lonerider!

As someone who’s not a fan of wheat beers or super-hoppy IPAs, I was very pleased to see a number of different selections on their menu. I had a blonde ale and an American amber and both were excellent(I also tried my friend’s pale ale which was also very good). This is a typical minimalist brewpub with a bar stuck on the side of the warehouse that holds the brewery. The only reason I docked them a star is that the seating area is outdoors and facing west and was surrounded by clear plastic curtains, resulting in an extremely hot venue(i.e. greenhouse) as the sun set in the early evening. I don’t know how they get anyone to come here after work(assuming they do). They need to remove the plastic or put up some opaque curtains or something. All of the seating was very uncomfortable except for the bar stools. I would be eager to come back here again but maybe not until October or November.

I don’t think I’ve ever had a bad beer here. Their year-round beers are great, and the seasonals are always rotating and are great as well. The bar is cool and casual, they have a nice outdoor seating area under a tent, and both inside and out are dog friendly which is cool. The staff is always super friendly too.

Lonerider Brewing Company is a nifty little hidden gem with a small, rustic patio that serves as a tasting room and bar. Flights of beer are available for a reasonable price if you want to taste some of their classic and seasonal offerings, and they attract a reasonably solid rotation of food trucks with a canopied area available to eat in. The tap room is small but friendly, and service is quick and courteous. It’s definitely a stop off the beaten path, but one worth doing if you’re a fan of good local brews.

Somewhat confusing to get into. The beers are decent enough for a company that wants to make beers for typical Americans. Microbrewery is right, craft brewer not so much. Beer is standard with not much offered off the beaten path of what the casual drinker seeks. Atmosphere is interesting as you sit outside the brewery in an enclosed greenhouse area. A mix of seating options are available so bring a crowd and have some beers. Would be nice to see some serious options to take advantage of their rough marketing campaign. Bourbon/oak/smoke/cactus/etc brewing to go with the western style feel may help them find their niche.

Mmmmmm. Beer. Lonerider is one of those places I wish I’d known about sooner… it would have saved me a lot of sat staring off at the side of the road as I drove back and forth past the Red Oak brewery on the way to and from work events. The tap room isn’t big, but it’s cozy, and pretty awesome whether you’re there for a summer gathering that spills outside or something a little more intimate once the temperatures drop. I am also a HUGE fan of places that have various food trucks pull up on different days of the week — who doesn’t love a little variety with their(delicious, yet totally affordable at $ 3 a pint) beer?! The Shotgun Betty’s my usual pick, but I’m looking forward to seeing what Lonerider’s got in store as the seasons change!

This place has some really good beer. I’m a fan of the Peacemaker and Shotgun Betty since I started to drink craft beer. Their beer can be found just about at every grocery store and tap room with craft beer. It’s good stuff. However, their tasting room is off the beaten path and can sometimes be confusing. I happened in one day when an even was occurring and was required to exit to buy tickets to be used back in the original tasting room. When I asked about getting a growler I was told most of their drafts were available. The first 3 I asked for were not available. Kind of frustrating that there wasn’t a list of available beers. Also make sure to ask if the beer you are getting is draft else you may end up with a can. With that said, their beer is very good(and even better on draft) and the folks behind the bar are friendly. The only real reason I’d shy away from it would be it’s distance but then again that may not be a problem for folks out that way.

I’m really glad we got to stop here for a few beers. The tap room is small, with a few tables and a dozen or so bar stools, and there’s a large covered outdoor seating area as well. It looks like it would handle quite a crowd. I’m pretty sure during our time there that we tried almost every beer they had, with the exception of one that was out when we arrived. My clear favorites were the Sweet Josie and the Pistols at Dawn, with honorable mention to the Peacemaker Pale Ale and the Eve amber. The bartender handled our orders efficiently(I felt a little bad, the first part of the evening she was pouring a lot of flights) and on the whole, the place has a friendly, comfortable vibe that I enjoyed.

This is a great little microbrewery! I came here when I bought a groupon for two for a beer tasting and was not disappointed! The Madame was my favorite, a seasonal beer. It was nice to visit the home of my favorite Shotgun Betty. The bartender was nice and funny.

A great brewery for a nice laid back beer or two. I finally made it to Lonerider after enjoying many Shotgun Betty’s elsewhere. Lonerider is near the airport so you occasionally get a loud plane flying over but it is otherwise pretty quiet. I love the outside with the covered patio full of picnic tables. On a nice day it’s a great place to enjoy a beer with friends. There are also places to sit and enjoy a beer inside at the bar. If you do decide to sit inside you will be welcomed by the very friendly staff there. The beer at Lonerider is tasty. Shotgun Betty is definitely my favorite but I don’t mind a Sweet Josie on occasion. There is a beer for almost every taste.

I’m definitely in love with this place! From the awesome beer down to the fantastic staff. It’s a very down to earth bar with the one and only Jackie slinging beers. If you like local, definitely give this place a try. The beer menu is constantly being updated with the good olé’ standbys always offered. They even do flights if you can’t make up your mind!
