So I still like this place… however it has taken a deep slide in the wrong direction… machines being down… steamers not working… stylists coming and going… staff doing maintenance themselves… makes me nervous

Horrible experience when this shop makes mistakes somehow it becomes your mistake. Their machines are down they have known for days but don’t bother to tell you when you call in to confirm your appointment that the machine is down and you need to bring cash. Don’t get your lashes done there unless you can read minds because you go in for a fill and then told when you are ready to pay at the register you have to pay for a full set because the moody so called Xtreme lash specialist Kawanda is having a bad day. I considered her a nice young woman but she is very inexperienced. Instead of Phyllis fixing the issue knowing that they made the mistakes she argues and blames and tells you — you can’t complain to the owner Erica because Erica her daughter empowers her to speak on Erica’s behalf. Erica apparently isn’t much of a business person.

I have visited this salon about 6x/​year for the past two years and it is hit or miss depending upon which stylist you get. I have had some who did a great job, one who did a sew in weave and left tracks exposed, and one stylist who gave me a severe burn with a flat iron. (I did NOT go back to her again!)
Recently I have been searching for a new salon because they have implemented additional fees that I feel are unfair. My shampoo blowdry flatiron used to cost $ 45. I took my two daughters as well and each of them cost $ 35. Well, they now have a $ 10 surcharge for «natural» hair and a $ 10 surcharge for «long» hair which means my total cost went from to $ 115 to $ 175 for our services since neither myself nor my daughters have relaxers in our hair. That’s a $ 60 increase for the EXACT SAME SERVICE we were receiving before! And of course that increases the tip as well!
The «long» hair fee is ridiculous for myself and one of my daughters because I have shoulder length hair and hers is mid-​back, just past her shoulders. The «natural» hair fee is crazy too because none of us have hair that is excessively tangled or difficult to work with. We all have manageable curls. It is definitely time to find a new stylist.
