Really awesome! I’ve never had threading before, it wasn’t any more painful than tweeting yourself, she was fast and did a great job on my eyebrows-​were not too think at all.

I went in because there was special for that day. They also had a Unilocal sign asking to check them out which is normally a good indicator for me. However, I did not have the best experience getting my eyebrows threaded. They were a little mismatched, in addition to the fact that she barely asked me about how I would like my eyebrows shaped. I ended up going home and fixing them some more. I don’t think I will be back.

Those who know me know that I am VERY picky when it comes to my eyebrows. Growing up, I always had the hardest time finding a consistent eyebrow technician. About 4 years ago, I discovered Purwa during a trip to the mall. She has been the ONLY person to touch my eyebrows since then. Except for a few months ago when I went to Anastasia Beverly Hills during a trip to LA, where I was complimented on my eyebrows by the technician herself. Not that I ever needed confirmation of Purwa’s talent, but it was great to hear that from an Anastasia employee.
Aside from her talent, she is so sweet and personable. I look forward to our chats and her fun personality.
Moral of the story, if love your eyebrows, do them a favor and visit Purwa. She is amazing and I don’t know what I would do without her.

Ladies please give the threading a try. Service is always great at the Crabtree location. Also, if you get your eyebrows threaded 6 times with your card stamped to show proof the seventh one is FREE! :-)

Tanveer was very fast and friendly!!! She did an excellent job. I have consistently had great service here. I also have to say I like the new location at Crabtree!

So my friend and I got there through a Groupon. It had good reviews, so we decided to get our eyebrows done. I have been having my eyebrows threaded for many years. Back in my home town and for the past few months– in NY. Now on our way to a beach vacation, we stopped here to get it done. I normally don’t go into those mall booths, but I figured its worth a try. Bad idea.
The lady was super nice, and the place was clean and tastefully designed for a pleasant wait. that’s why the 2 stars. but I’m sorry– she has no idea how to use a thread! Nothing was cleaned, I mean all the area under the brow was completely the same as before, the only part she actually cleaned was the upper part, and even there I had to fix. Unfortunately I paid for upper lip already, so I ended up with more then half (!!!) Of the hair still there, and when I gently told her it wasn’t clean enough, she said something about «ingrown hairs» ?! Believe me, all the hairs were out in the open. I know this cause I spent 45 minutes when I arrived to my hotel, doing my own eyebrows, cleaning it all away, and having to tweeze the upper lip because I paid 14(!!) $ to someone who had no idea what she was doing. I pay 10 $ in NY, and my thread lady cleans it so well I have nothing to worry for 4 weeks. So disappointing… Such a shame.

I am writing this review as happy and disappointed. Paurawa is ABSOLUETELY great! She normally does my eyebrows. But last night I desired to have my eyebrows done. I arrived and friendly lady named Tanveer was there. My usual, Paurawa was gone. I allowed Tanveer to do my eyebrows. That was a huge mistake!!! I told her to clean up my eyebrows. She thinned my eyebrows! Needless to say for about a month I will be growing my eyebrows.
I highly recommened Idolize, but only allow Paurawa to touch your eyebrows. I repeat do not allow Tanveer, she will butcher your eyebrows.

Love this place! They recently got a new location in the middle of the mall. (The side entrance near Kanki) which I find is SO much quicker to get to. +1 for that. I also love how quick everything is. Got my eyebrows and upper lip done in only 5mins top, AND got a 25% discount. (On Mondays & Tuesdays). They look great. Would highly recommend!

They do a great job. I’ve been probably five times now. I’m very picky and will often go behind them when I get home and pluck a few stray hairs they missed. Well I went today and it was so well done that I didn’t even have to pull out my tweezers after! They also cut them with scissors which I really like.

Hands down the best place in Raleigh for eyebrow threading. At first I thought the place by my house in Morrisville was really good and cheap. But after going back and forth from the place near my house and Idolize, I have determined that Idolize is by far the winner. Yes the place near my house is convenient for me as far as driving, and it is $ 8 versus $ 12 that Idolize charges. But when it does come down to it, Idolize is FAR MORE SUPERIOR then any other salon that I’ve been to.
Usually when I go there, I see the same lady. She always remembers me. She shapes my brows so beautifully, and it’s just quick and painless. I have to emphasize that it is completely PAIN FREE because I have experimented with other eyebrow threading salons and I have had tears going down my face because of my sensitivity with my eyes and how bad it hurt to get threaded. When I go to Idolize, I barely experience ANY PAIN AT ALL. I really don’t know how she does it so well, so fast, and so painless, but she does.
I would highly recommend this place to anyone. I’ve recommended it to all my friends so far, and they to, love it!!!

Depressed because my my regular eyebrow lady wasn’t going to be to work for two weeks, I reluctantly went to the mall to get my brows threaded. I desperately needed them done because my eyebrows were looking like Drake’s (not exaggerating). I went around 8:30 PM, and there was no one in the store, so I was seen immediately. I’ve visited this place before, but it was months ago, and I happened to get the same lady and she remembered me. I was impressed. First she complimented the shape of my eyebrows and cleaned them up, leaving them with the natural shape. I was very pleased with my look. After I paid, she suggested that I purchase eyebrow powder to bring out the shape of my brows, I’m not really into eyebrow make-​up, seems like too much of and extra step in my beauty routine, but I let her put in on my brows to see. I really liked it! I didn’t purchase, but I may buy later. I’ll visit this place… perhaps as a first choice!

This is called the Brow Bar. That should have been my warning. I’m sure they do lovely eyebrows but that’s not the service I had done, and it’s not the service I’m reviewing.
I entrusted a more sensitive area to the lovely ladies at the Brow Bar (I’ll let you read between the lines). I should have known from the get-​go that this was a terrible idea when they told me it would be a 45 minute wait because they weren’t prepared to provide that service. Instead I figured «hey, I should’ve made an appointment, this is my own fault» and stuck around.
Finally they called me back. The area was private, and nicely furnished. It was all quite relaxing until the technician acknowledged that it was her first time providing this particular service. Now, I can hear all you ladies screaming at me through the computer, like this is one of those horror movies where you’re yelling «RUN FOR THE HILLS YOU IDIOT» and the bimbo onscreen enters the murderer’s lair anyway, clad only in her bra and. well, «panties» is a generous term used to describe what I was wearing for this process.
I’ll spare you the particulars and fast-​forward to the end result. This poor girl had not heated the wax to the proper temperature, and it didn’t harden as it was supposed to. Now combine your mental image of chewing gum-​in-​hair consistency with the fact that her inexperience drew the process out an intolerable length of time.
I’ll wrap this up by saying I went in with the idea that I would come out feeling smooth and sexy. Instead I spent two weeks terrified for my husband to see me with my jeans off.
Stick with the eyebrows and you’ll most likely be very pleased. For more «private» services, ask your girlfriends (or Unilocal) for a better recommendation.

5 5 star glowing reviews… all from Yel. no, I can’t even call them Unilocalers, that have only reviewed once maybe twice… Hrm… I smell a rat… But the possibility of beautiful brows — now that’s cheese I will (always) bite into.
Skeptical but yet still optimistically hopeful as I walked into the Brow Bar about 1:30 on a Friday afternoon. There were several patrons already waiting and several in the chair but I was still greeted promptly and ever so politely and was directed to wait in the «chic/​clean» waiting area. I was only halfway through one article in the Glamour magazine that was in the waiting area when the threader motioned me over to one of three chairs. She asked me, «Have you ever been here before?» No. and «Have you ever had your eyebrows threaded before?» Yes. She meticulously wielded the thin threads over my now untidy (ish) eyebrows and after about five minutes I had thin but shapely eyebrows, in fact they were perfect! Better than I’d gotten anywhere else in Raleigh for that matter. All in all the total experience took 15 very peaceful minutes for a grand total of $ 15 (12 + the $ 3 tip I left her).
