I’ve had a couple of problems with Growing Child Pediatrics. My biggest problem is the hours. If you’re a working family, 8am to 5 pm really just doesn’t cut it. My other big issue is the inability to contact anyone after those dismal hours are over. My wife took our daughter there, and they were to call in a prescription for the pharmacy that was right across the street. My wife gets to the pharmacy, with a sick kid, and the prescription was never called in. By this time, the office is closed, and she can’t reach the doctor. She calls me at home trying to figure out what to do. I call the office, hoping to reach an on-call person. NOSUCHLUCK. All there is a number you can call(and be charged $ 10) to talk with an ER nurse. I was very pissed off at the whole situation, and wanted an explanation. I left a note on their website looking for feedback, no one ver contacted me about it. It’s one thing to have horrible hours, but quite another to be missing an on-call service that can put you in touch with your doctor after hours for situations like this.
