Giftbasket Villas

Now I am not someone who sends gift baskets, but for my wife’s birthday, I wanted to do something unusual. Through a mutual acquaintance, I happily discovered Giftbasket Villas. I found their baskets to be stylish and attractive, containing a wide variety of items, edible or not. One of my favorites was called Settling In– House. The basket was shaped like a classic Victorian mansion and was filled with a generous assortment of teas, cookies and other snacks.
However, for my wife, I decided upon the Taste of Italy, since both my wife and I love things Italian. The basket contained cookies, Ghirardelli chocolate, a jar of tomato and basil pasta sauce, along with flatbreads and biscuits. A package of Toblerone chocolates was also included. That’s one of my favorite candies.
I thought it was very clever that instead of a basket, everything was sent in a «basket» made from one of those «sculapasta» macaroni colanders like the one my grandma used to use when creating one of her Sunday pasta dinners.
Since my wife doesn’t drink alcohol, that basket was perfect for her. As for me, the inclusion of a nice bottle of Italian wine would have been great. I also would have liked to have seen the inclusion of a few Italian nougat bars that I used to enjoy when I was a kid. But that’s a really minor consideration.
Now that I’ve seen what Giftbasket Villas has to offer, I now have a place to look when I want to send someone something special when I have run out of gift ideas. I may even ship a basket to my newlywed cousin in Croatia!

I had to write a review after the great service I received. I wasn’t sure what kind of basket and asked for advice, because I wanted to buy something perfect for my mother’s birthday.
