Great service and fun bar with good selection of beer and food. They had trivia night followed by karaōke the evening we decided to go. Overall we had a great time at this place.

We found this place by complete accident, but oh are we so happy that we did! We stumbled into a completely empty bar on a Saturday, but with its less-than-visible location from Glenwood, and being a new place, it didn’t strike us as odd. We wanted to stop someplace new and grab a few appetizers and drinks before hopping off. I can say that, although a bit loud inside, the outdoor patio is a nice place to eat and chat. Then there is the food. After reading though the menu and figuring that we were going to settle for the same old frozen and fried bar food, we were nothing short of amazed at the chopped, all white meat, hand breaded chicken strips and handmade, not frozen beer battered onion rings. Top it off with homemade BBQ and honey mustard sauce and I can say that Cognito has the best food around. Only the tater tots on thereby is frozen, everything else, including sauces are homemade and the kitchen stays open until 2am! We were told about the BM bar on Sundays and the last Friday of the month is comedy night. We will 100% positively come to visit again. The staff and manager are incredibly friendly and welcoming.

Cheap eats and late night treats, Cognito has it all. I met a group of friends here for a late dinner on a Friday night and was surprised to find the place completely empty. A little skeptical at first but after we sat down and looked over the menu I was happy to see some interesting menu items I wanted to try. I ordered the pizza fritte for an app for the table — think elephant ears savory style with fresh tomato sauce and Parmesan cheese yummy! The waiter also informed us that they serve the frittes as a dessert as well I would eat this fried dough any way they want to serve it. For dinner it was a salad for me I know boring right but I dig a bar that can serve up a super fresh salad and that’s exactly what Cognito delivered. Fresh greens with strawberries and fried goat cheese a great combo that filled my tummy. They have some pretty rad drink specials too. It’s hard to find drink deals on the weekends on my Friday visit they were serving up $ 3 domestic bottles and $ 4 well drinks. They also advertise«Thirsty Thursdays» with 25 cent wings and $ 2 off whiskeys. I’m interested to check this place out late night and see the scene it seems to be a pretty hip place to hang out. And definitely coming back for brunch to check out their bloody mary bar thanks Stepanie B for the review.

We stumbled by Cognito’s and saw the 25c wing special for Thursday. Being the wing junkies that we are, we had to dive in! We couldn’t be happier with all things Cognito. There was a great special on their Bourbon of the month(Blanton’s for $ 7!), awesome beer specials, etc, etc… Best of all, our server/bartender, Caitlin, really topped off the great experience; friendly, warm, and attentive. The place was clean and had a great covered patio to sip on a bevvy and watch a thunderstorm roll through. Kudos to Cognito Bar & Grill! We’ll DEFINITELY be back regularly! PS. Word has it that their Bloody Mary bar during brunch is a force to be reckoned with! I can’t wait to check it out!

We visited this brand new spot for brunch on Sunday and I’m a fan! Unfortunately, we didn’t come prepared with a big appetite so we only tried one menu on the item… but it was worth it, the pancake poppers! These delicious little things are chunks of crispy bacon, dipped in pancake batter and fried with a side of a sweet, syrup-ey dipping sauce. Yum! Filling, but yum! Best part? BLOODYMARYBAR. Holy, bloody mary bar. Order your drink, the bartender gives you your choice of vodka with BM mix and you are free to doctor it up as you choose. What did they offer? Everything, basically. Barbeque sauce, horseradish, hot sauces, pickled okra, pepperoni, mozzarella balls, tomatoes, bacon, fruit, cocktail onions, jalapenos, pepperoncini, and many more. I only remember these items because I put ALL of them in my drink. ALLOFTHEM. It was amazing. Oh yeah, and the service was pretty awesome too. We will be back, to build many more meals in a glass.
