Based on my most recent visit to @Coastal24 I would say that I need to switch banks. All I wanted to do was make a deposit, and it took about 30 minutes to do that. I went to Coastal to deposit a check the day before, but they said they would put a 5 day business hold on it. So I went to a different bank to cash the check, then back to Coastal to deposit the cash. So the first thing I did was grab a cup of Hot Chocolate(I don’t like coffee that much) and then get in line for the teller machines. I always get a drink first because I never know how long I will be waiting in line, as there is no way to know how many people are ahead of you in the queue, which would be good to know. Luckily the wait was not that long. So I started to feed the money into the machine, some of which was crisp and brand new, some of which was old. I had the bills sorted by denomination, and then new and old before I was going to put them into the machine. The machine was eating the money when I tried to feed it. It would take the money, then spit it out all balled up. It was so bad, the lady from behind the desk had to come over and assist me. She tried to feed the machine too, and after a while, she gave up and said it was a bad machine. So that meant that I had to move to a different machine and get back in line, at the end of the line. The lady from behind the counter was still helping me feed the money into the machine. She was straightening out each bill, unwrinkling them, and making sure each corner was perfect. She said that if the money was not right, the machine would not take it. I just asked her, why couldn’t I just hand her the cash, and she count it, and write me a receipt. She said they have no way of handling cash. One of the bills was I guess too old for the machine to read, so she had to drab a set of keys, go behind the machines, and swap it out with one of the bills I put in the machine earlier.(There goes the story of them having no way to handle cash.) After a while all of the money was in the machine. It would have only taken 5 minutes if I just handed the money to a real person, and they counted the money. With the machine jamming, and having to switch machines, wait in line for another teller, and all of that, it was a big hassle. The only reason why I didn’t rate them with 1 star was because of the coffee machine. But I did have to ask the lady from behind the counter to come over to that too, as the display on it said it needed some assistance also. So in reality, nothing worked right that day the first time at Coastal.
