My husband and I do Sunday fun day every Sunday. Brio was our pick this Sunday! I was craving fettuccine Alfredo. I ask the waiter what was similar. He told me something I can’t remember the exact name, and I ordered that. My husband had the lasagna. Our food came out I tried my first. My sauce tasted like it came from a bottle of Classico Alfredo sauce. My husband said his lasagna tasted worse than a can of Chef Boyardee. I have ate at Brio in Atlanta! The food in the quality was always amazing. I don’t know if this Brio has different quality or standards. Save yourself the trouble and eat somewhere else.

I went to Brio for some early dinner one evening. I had been there before and had enjoyed it, so I decided to go back. There was three of us total, and we were seated right away. Our waiter took our drink orders and brought out bread for us to munch on. The bread was dry and hard, so I didn’t partake. Our drinks came and we placed our orders. I got the Campanelle Carbonara. It was delicious and I would order it again in a heartbeat. But during my meal I noticed something odd in my drink, and it turned out to be a bug. It was gross, but I understand that it happens so I told my waiter and he brought me a new drink. The manager also came over to apologize and was very nice about everything. Then at the end of our meal I was looking forward to dessert, specifically a piece of tiramisu. I mean an Italian restaurant should have tiramisu, right? Wrong. Wasn’t on the menu at all. I was disappointed as were the others at my table, so we didn’t order anything else. That visit was sort of a letdown, and I’m not sure if I would go back.

I’m confused about the rather high reviews for Brio. I considered giving this three stars, but Unilocal’s two star description(Meh) pretty much captures how I feel about the place and my experience. This was my first time at Brio, and I was excited to go. I’d been wanting to go for forever and just hadn’t gotten around to it. There were nine of us in my group, and we were seated promptly. Drink orders were taken and filled promptly as was food. Everything came out in a timely manner. Servers were all very polite. The two stars is 100% for the food alone. I started with the Cesar salad — an add on of I think 4.50(give or take a quarter) to my entrée. The salad was fine. No one showed up to offer to grind any pepper. I think the salad was the best thing I had all night, and it was just ok. My entrée was the fettuccine rustica. This dish was billed as being spicy. It was not spicy in the slightest. It was bland — very, very bland. It included kalamata olives and capers, and they did add a decent amount of those. The pasta was a bit under cooked but edible. I think the blandish just ruined the entire dish. There wasn’t a single bit of flavor in it. I got a piece of the layered chocolate cake to go. I had some for breakfast the next morning. Nothing special. A bit dry. My bill was about 40.00 before the tip. This includes a glass of wine for 10.95(so 30.00 for the food). In no way was my meal worth 30.00. The restaurant itself is gorgeous and spacious. I enjoyed the facility. The employees were very nice and helpful. I just don’t see any reason to return.

The facility is lovely — it’s very pretty and airy. Our Sunday brunch service started off slowly — it took a few minutes to get us seated, despite our reservations. I thought perhaps it was busy. But it didn’t appear too busy. Took our server a while to find us. My elderly companion and I ordered tea — he brought us cups half-filled with hot water and two tea bags. He didn’t ask us what flavor tea we wanted, and he didn’t bring us the standard black tea. I asked for other flavors. He said he’d bring a box. He brought a few different tea bags(they looked a bit rumpled). We each took one, and he removed the extra tea bags. There were no spoons or cream on the table, so we asked for those. My tea cup was badly stained inside, and it had goobers stuck on the outside. Server finally came to take our order. He brought it out much later. We didn’t get any bread in the meantime, so my companion asked for some when the server brought our meals. My meal(risotto) was very very salty. The Brio chopped salad was good. Overall, it took about 100 minutes for tea and a meal — no appetizers, no dessert. No major issues on our end. The food and service were unsatisfying. I wouldn’t return. I suspect my companion will — she loves it during the week. I hope the service & food are better then!

I visited this restaurant to celebrate a friend’s birthday. We all had made reservations beforehand. I would say there were about 24 of us, which is a rather large party I admit, but I can’t help feel that at some point in this restaurant’s existence they have had to deal with large parties before such as ours. We had three different servers(at least) for our total party. I found my party at approximately 7:00 pm and left the restaurant at approximately 8:45. During that hour and 45 minutes, I received one glass of water. When the server came to take our order, I ordered the lobster bisque and a salad. Another woman at our table ordered the exact same items. The woman to my left at the table also ordered the lobster bisque, but paired it with a mushroom ravioli dish. Two other people at the table(a couple) both ordered salads. Of those food items I named, guess which ones were never delivered? The salads! The bisques came out, as did the ravioli dish. But for some reason, there was situation where simple salads were not given to us. The couple that both ordered salads actually left the restaurant altogether before the check came to eat somewhere else. The woman who ordered the bisque and salad, as I did, specifically tracked down the manager to tell him what was going on and said she was leaving also but wanted her salad to go. The manager did come by our table and offered to provide me with another entrée to go, but I declined as I was already pissed at that point and just wanted to leave and go somewhere else. The manager did hand us vouchers for $ 10 towards our next visit, but that won’t be enough to get me to come back.

The food at Brio is very authentic with lots of Italian flavor. This restaurant is always busy and their bar menu draws a crowd weekdays between 4:30 and 6:30 with drink and bar food specials. I was able to make a reservation on for two on a Friday night and it was very busy. When we arrived, we waited just a few minutes and were then taken to our table. The private rooms in the back were full and so were all the other tables. The kitchen is open so you can see all of the food action and that does add a lot to the noise level of the dining room. The noise level is my only gripe with Brio because it deters from a quiet meal. I had the Chicken Milanese and the portion size is perfect. It was just right where I did not have to ask for a to-go container. The sauce was very authentic and noodles cooked perfectly. The salads to add on for $ 4.25 are also nicely presented and we had the Insalata Bistecca with wedge lettuce, blue cheese dressing and bacon. The sourdough bread and crisp served at the beginning are also a nice touch. Since the restaurant was so buy on Friday night, a manager was going around and helping clear the tables. I appreciated that he cleared from the right and knew the proper etiquette. We only had one small error in our bill where the regular price was listed instead of the special price and he immediately took of the $ 7 surcharge that was incorrect in the system. Brio is a great place to dine while shopping at Crabtree or just come here for a meal.

Great selection and service! All tables are in one large room, so the din can be a little deafening. It was difficult to hear and replay to my friend who sat across from me. Again, food and service were great!

We tried Brio while visiting friends in Raleigh. We had Spinach Dip, I had Pasta Vodka and the chopped salad. My boyfriend got the Pasta Pesto, all so good!!! It was a tad loud but not too bad. Our server(I believe her name was Jordan?) was kind and very attentive. Can’t wait to go back!

It’s the first time that I actually have the chance to eat at Brio at Crabtree mall. It was a great experience of flavors, drinks and very good service. We had Katrina as our server and she was very kind and sweet. We had strawberry and basil mojitos(excellent) lasagna and chicken Limone(great) and also Calamari as an entrée. I super recommend this place, specially this week with such a great weather to enjoy the patio!

I have been a regular for a long time, it is by far my favorite restaurant in the Triangle area and I have never once had a bad experience there. The reason I am writing a review today is because I legitimately had one of the best dining experiences both at Brio and at any restaurant I’ve ever been to. Basically I have to thank it all on our waitress Brittany(I hope that’s how you spell her name). I was a waitress once and I know how important tips are. But my experience with Brittany was way beyond her wanting tips from us. I’ve had waiters do less and still get a decent tip. Brittany was beyond accommodating with our meals, I never thought that Brio could get even better than it already did. I really, REALLY wanted my go to dish — Spicy Shrimp and Eggplant appetizer — but because of the coupon we had(buy two entrees get one 50% off), I couldn’t get it. You know what she does, she turns your typical eggplant parmesan dish into my «Spicy Shrimp and Eggplant» pasta dish — instead of marinara she had the cook put the pepper sauce on it and she added shrimp. Basically I had tears of joy running down my face as I ate this dish. Then as I was asking to have the rest of my food boxed up(I gorged on the Bread it’s so good and fresh), she asked us if we wanted some fresh bread to go. I wanted to hug her. Basically, this was a most wonderful and exceptional dining experience with a very, very caring waitress. You should always, ALWAYS go to Brio period because the food alone makes it worth it. And the waiting staff has always been amazing. But if you want that extra bonus of exceptional, ask for Brittany. I sure as heck will!(and Brittany ended up getting the biggest tip I’ve ever given…45%)

A solid Italian restaurant. I got the pasta alla vodka – delicious! Portions aren’t huge so don’t expect to share an entrée. I always get the bellini when i’m here. Also very good. Apparently the salmon pasta dish is very yummy but it’s not on the dinner menu so you have to ask for it. Pricey, but you’re paying for the elevated ambiance as well. Great for bday dinners/fancy dates.

So I’m typically not a fan of chain restaurants, but this place is great. I love the sourdough bread that taste like it’s direct from San Francisco. The Brio Chopped Salad, has gotten a bit smaller over our last few visits, but still a great salad. I love the PASTAPESTO: angel hair, grilled chicken, caramelized onions, spinach, tomatoes, red peppers, Feta, basil, light pesto sauce. It’s a lite item menu item with big taste. Awesome!

Simply terrible bar service! The last half dozen times I’ve been here, the bar service continues to go down hill. This will definitely be our last visit.

While heading into Raleigh, stopped here to meet some family. Essentially a typical Italian restaurant, and it’s fairly pricy. The wine selection is worth going for and their happy hour had some great prices. $ 6 plates after 6pm, but I don’t think I’d go back for the $ 15 risotto…

So, I had to convince the husband to finally try this place out, and we continue going back. It’s located at the Crabtree Valley Mall in our area, and looks nice on the outside and in. Our usual dish is the Pasta Pesto. It’s one of their«light» dishes, but it is full of flavor. We usually add a salad on. I get the Caesar salad and it’s always well prepared. I don’t like an abundance of dressing, and it always has the right amount. I believe the thing we keep returning for, is the complimentary sour dough bread. It’s one of the best we’ve had outside of San Francisco. I definitely recommend this place to all my friends. It is a chain restaurant, but we like it a lot. And the service is always very good.

This is a very nice place to revel in pretend elegance. It feels like the lobby of the Ritz-Carlton or better yet the Palm Court at The Plaza Hotel in 1980. The food was very nice. They gave us a hostile waiter who was so rude that I asked the hostess to please give us a new one and they did. Then the bad waiter almost hit me accidentally, he swung at me while doing something. It was hilarious! The new waiter was cute, he looked like Harry Styles, is that his name? The one that slutty Swift went out with. The prices were alright and the food is decent but its not a place I crave to return, unless my parents come visit.

One of our favorite times to come here is Sunday brunch. Love that they take reservations, since messing with the mall to meet friends is not be what I want to do without knowing for sure we’ll get in. The friends we like to meet here usually want breakfast and we usually prefer lunch/dinner, so the variety on the menu works just great for us. My fave here is the Pasta Alla Vodka. For a filled pasta, these little pillows are so delicate and surprisingly light. The spicy vodka sauce with basil and crispy pancetta is fantastic. This time I asked for a side of perfectly asparagus to make it a more rounded meal and the perfectly grilled asparagus was the just-right complement to the pasta. Husband tried the Fennel Sausage & Roasted Tomato Trecce, which came with Gemelli. He liked it very much. It had broccoli in it as well. He actually let me sneak a bite and it was very tasty! Our friends got the Eggs Benedict and an Omelet. The Omelet showed up a few minutes after the rest of ours, but arrived with an apology. Service was otherwise, spot-on. Price-wise the menu runs the gamut. My meal(with the asparagus-side) was around $ 19. On the pricey-side for lunch, but on point for the quality level and the expertise in making home-made pasta. Husband’s was just $ 11.95, and also excellent quality. Friends, were once again, happy with their breakfast items.

Don’t come at a reasonable time. It will be so crowded(and as a result, loud) that your«nice dinner» will be more like a ruckus. If it’s packed(which it will be at regular meal hours), your server will forget about you– empty drink cups, forgotten requests, missing bread(yeah our server gave us our bread after some of our food came out… and we had to request it too…) Also, the beef carpaccio I looked forward to eating again wasn’t the same… The beef was sliced even thinner, to the point where there was barely any beef on the plate! …AND they were so stingy with the aioli on the beef. On a positive note, the bread was piping hot because it had come out straight from the oven. I guess the bread was extra fresh because they had to be served to so many tables. It’s kind of like a battlefield during it’s prime time. Sigh, I guess I’ll only be able to come here during awkward meal hours :(
