My mom and I went on a girl date here. We ordered the cerviche, lobster empanadas, and two of the steak entrees. The food and our cocktails were delicious! Great service as well. Absolutely recommend this place!

Four of us went for an early dinner this past Sunday. The atmosphere and décor has a very Spanish feel with wrought iron, ceiling beams and dark woodwork accented by Latin music playing in the background. Service was very professional and attentive without over doing it. The menu had a nice variety of choices and there were a couple of specials as well. The food was prepared and presented very well and the size of the portions were satisfying. We enjoyed the Turquoise Sangria most of all, it was outstanding and I don’t care for sangria that much… I may go back just for a pitcher or two.

I went on a Saturday night with a friend and I did not have dinner. We went because they had a 90’s hip hop night and we just wanted to find a place to go with cool music and some drinks. We had a great time and the music was on point. The drinks were a smidgen over priced for the area. I am actually going to go back for dinner.

Amazing rack of lamb! I ordered the patria Paris and the drink was awesome! The appetizer we had was meh. Guacamole was pretty awful, watered down and filled with a million pieces of onions but I’ll give them a pass since my entrée and drink were on point! I will def visit again! :-)

I’m still trying to figure out this place. It’s located in a rather quiet part of Rahway(at least for a Friday night), huge space with no real signage outside, food and drink were expensive for the area(think $ 9-$ 15 drinks) and for a place with a huge multi-floor lounge — it was basically empty. I came here with some girlfriends for dinner and drinks around 8PM. the place was decently busy, maybe 70% full. We had the calamari, chorizo and guac for appetizers… and I had the churrasco for my meal. The apps were ok — the guac tasted like it was out of a package, the calamari needed some salt and the chorizo had this brown sauce on it we could have done without. I was surprised by my $ 11 glass of wine bc that’s what I’d pay in jersey city… and we’re not in jersey city. Moving over to the entrée, I regret getting that churrasco — the cut itself was cooked ok, but they drowned the entire plate in this brown sauce — considering I’m not a huge sauce person, this proved problematic for me. It was in part my fault as I should have specified how the sauce would be(I was thinking a drizzle), but they were also just too liberal w the pour. Womp. Everyone else got other dishes, none from what I could hear were amazing, but my girls who got the ropa vieja both said it was good. Around 11 the place started transitioning into a nightclub. What was nice about the setup is that the club part was happening in an adjacent room so we didn’t feel rushed at all to finish our meal. For $ 5 you could take salsa classes there, which we didn’t — but I figured it would have been a good way for the restaurant to kickstart the night/bring in the crowd. Wrong. Everyone who showed up for the class left shortly after. By the time we were done with our meal(a little after midnight) there were 0 people in there main dance room and a handful(like 7?) in the front bar area… on a Friday night no less! If it were poppin I would have stayed. They were playing good music as well! But overall it was just a weird dynamic. I’m thinking they need to do better promoting and maybe the space is too big? Bc even at their height, with about 30 ppl in the room taking the salsa class, it still looked empty. I have no immediate plans to come back here, but I think this place has potential if they tweak their menu a bit and breathe some new life in to the space…

Amazing décor, service, food, and drink! I got the seafood paella once and the lomo saltado another time. Highly recommend both; portions were definitely filling but not crazy. The staff was very friendly, efficient, and gave us recommendations. We got some wines as well. Just know that it’s valet parking so bring some cash to tip. I think it was under construction for a while but now it’s open!

Good food in a tasteful setting not so easy to find anymore, unless, of course, you can make it here! Actually, VERY tasty food in a variety of dishes with an unmistakable Latin tinge is what Patria offers in a choice of charming settigs. The Bar with dynamite Latin music is mine, but going back to try out the parti scene & disco. As good as it gets is my vote! Valet parking a real +

Very nice spot, friendly staff which is always a plus not so fond of the $ 10 parking and the $ 10 cover price, put there’s parking on the street, it’s a chill lounge doesn’t get too crowded which is good in my book, the mojitos are very good bartender is nice and attentive.

Wow! Just had dinner there with some girlfriends. It has been a while since I’ve been there so of course I was shocked and absolutely embarrassed when the parking lot was completely empty, no one running for my car to valet park it and no one even at the door. My girlfriends get there and are thinking they are in the wrong place since all they hype I talked about is no where to be seen. I finally go in and the place is empty!!! I mean empty like no one at the bar, dining, dancing… nothing. It was 8:00…8:30…9:00…9:30…10:00…and DEAD! I asked the waiter that happened and he explains that they had to close the club due to some jurisdiction mandate and they lost a ton of business since then. I have to tell you… what a disappointment!

This was my second time coming here after having had an amazing authentic Peruvian food experience at this same place 2 years ago. Back then, I would have easily given them 5 stars. However this time around they fell short of my expections. On the bright side, the Churrasco skirt steak was excellent, just as it had been before. We had the quiche as appetizer, which was finely and flavorfully prepared. And the server was congenial and clearly very happy to be serving us! Their specialty Sangria was absolutely magnificent. I would return in a heartbeat just to imbibe those heavenly blood-red spirits! Here is the clincher: the short ribs were like soup! It was not just one bad dish, as two people in my party ordered it, and it was prepared like a meaty stew. Very disappointing and unheard of for ribs. Alas, our experience was quite average, especially compared with my vivid memory of fine dining perfection two years back. Nonetheless, I will certainly return to try other things on the menu, and of course for round two of Sangria!

This is the 2nd or 3rd time I’ve been here. I don’t remember being to impressed before but I have to say that I had a good experience this time. Me and my friend came on a Friday evening for dinner and apps at the bar. The bar is lovely and comfortable. Has large TVs if u are into news or sports. The female bartender said she was new but she was excellent– she was attentive and friendly! We ordered the calamari and the ropa Vieja like soft tacos — delish! And we had 3 rounds of watermelon martinis and we had her surprise us with a special shot! I enjoyed the experience. It was low key– and Wasn’t noisy or uncomfortable I would come back to chill at the bar again

Those going to the Union County Arts Center across the street will be interested to know they get a 20% discount here by showing their tickets. Sesame tuna was excellent; many entrees are under $ 20; drinks are strong; portions large.

I shared appetizers with my husband. We ordered the tilapia tacos, pulpo a la brasa and the ropa vieja with venezuelan coconut arepas(our favority). We also had the red wine sangria which was good, though mine it’s better ;) The service and the ambiance was excellent. I will definitely come back to try some entrees.

Loved the food. The soup on the menu, lobster soup, was out of this world! My wife had snapper and the sauce was excellent, the fish perfectly cooked. I had some kind of seafood mix. It was very good and with my wife’s plantains it was excellent also! Service could not have been better.

Love this place! Great music, great vibe and GREATFOOD!!! The wings, calamaria, shrimp… ALL good! And keep in mind these are just appetizers I’m talking about. The DJ is really good. He plays top 40 hits and most up-to-date music. Keeps you on your feet! I’ve been here twice for birthday parties and one time we didn’t leave until approximately 4am(got there around 1030/11ish)…time flies when you’re having fun!!! I like that it’s a well mixed crowd. No drama! Just people out to have a good time. My kind of lounge!

I decided to give Patria a go after sampling them at this year’s Taste of Rahway event. My boyfriend and I went for dinner on a Friday night, around 7:30am. The place was empty and we were promptly seated. The décor inside is beautiful, however my only complaint is their tables. The way they’re made, there are 2 large legs supporting it, exactly where your knees would go, so I ended up sitting and straddling the large wooden support in front of me. If there would have been 4 of us sitting there, it would have made for some interesting arrangements… We decided to get a bunch of tapas instead of having a full meal — guacamole, short ribs and chorizo. They first came out with a plate of tortilla chips and their own spicy salsa which was really tasty. It was kind of a pureed sauce instead of the chunky kind but I thought it was fantastic. We didn’t need to wait too long before our plates came down. The chorizo was absolutely delicious in a wonderful cilantro smokey kind of sauce and they give you a roll with it which we used to mop up it up. The guacamole was also good but they serve it with large pieces of fried platano — good but I think more of the tortilla chips would have been better. And lastly the short ribs which were soooooo tender and flavorful. The only downfall was the sauce; really it tasted like they poured some heinz 51 on it and it kind of killed the flavor of the short ribs a little. After our tapas had been devoured we moved onto the bar — bartender was very attentive and served some amazing cocktails. Great time, good food, good drink. I will be back Patria!

Was here this past Sunday for a Brunch party that they throw every first Sunday of the month. It was a friends birthday so he reserved a table and we purchased a few Ciroc bottles also hookahs. Hookahs I wouldn’t recommend especially if you’re a true hookah lover because they’re the electronic ones. In the beginning everyone is sitting down eating and drinking then after a certain time the chairs get removed and it becomes a lounge. But overall the crowd was a great mixture of people. If you come to any of these parties come dressed to impress. The DJ had everyone moving and singing all day with a mix of all different genres playing. The only downside I had was how hot it got in there!!!
