Michelino’s Pizzeria

Beware! I bought a plain slice and brought it back home. As I got ready to eat it I noticed little black dots thinking it might have been pepper or oregano but when I peeled the cheese it was rodent droppings. GROSS!

Pizza is good, only issue is that no matter what toppings you order, you get so little, basically you’re overpaying for a cheese pizza.
Ordered a Pepperoni pizza last night and AGAIN more than half the pizza had little to no pepperoni at all. I’m really tempted to ask for a refund.

I went to Michelino’s quite a few times because of it’s convenient location but if you are hungry and looking to grab a quick pizza, I wouldn’t recommend it. If you order food for pick up and they tell you «20 minutes,» go there after at least 35 minutes and be prepared to wait at least 15 – 20 more minutes. Then while you sit there waiting for your food to finally be ready, you might see it come out of the oven and be packaged and placed in the distribution area. Then, be ready to wait another ten minutes while the counter workers gossip with friends instead of working. Eventually, when you are almost dizzy with hunger, you will have to politely interrupt the counter person’s non-​work related conversations and ask when your food will be ready, only to be told «oh, here it is.» I think some of the cashiers in this restaurant could use some customer service training…

Ordered food for pick up, they said 10 min. I got there about 15 min or so and the cook was in the dining room hanging out. The counter girl had to walk over to him and tell him I had ordered 15 min ago. After all that they ran out of chicken for my salad.

This Reasturant /​pizzeria meets all my needs ! They have great food, good to taste, and a large menu .
While others in the area give me a hard time for my craving this Reasturant ALWAYS gladly will satisfy my needs .

I come here for lunch almost every week with my sister because the food is great and the service I get its beyond good. I haven’t had one complaint yet. The pizza taste good, their salads are amazing and their grilled chicken caesar wrap is one of my favorites. I recommend it.

Taste like cheap pizza. Quality isnt of importance at this establishment. The female workers always seem too occupied doing nothing to give a damn about customer service.

This place sucks. It’s run by a girl in high school and 1 pizza guy. I’m not saying anything about them… I’m just noting that to lower anyone’s expectations. There’s almost nothing good to say about this place other than it being 100 feet from where I live.

So we ordered from them 15 times this time the driver didn’t speak English yelled at me over the phone so after about an hour of back and fourth And being yelled at several times in Spanish I told them to forget it and take it back now I call to order again and give them another shot mind you my house is less then .5 miles away they said we are no longer delivering to your street because our driver doesn’t want to go to that street. It’s not like it’s a dangerous block it’s a family safe street I will never order from here again and will tell everyone in town what nasty people they are.

This is a solid pizza choice, including sandwiches, salads, and Italian meals offering a gluttonous amount of sauce and mozzarella cheese. The bill however, makes me cringe a bit every time I see it. Pizza is still a bargain meal compared to others, but you’re dropping a cool $ 13 for a standard 16″ pie + $ 2.75 per topping. Yes I am willing to pay for quality and food, but a single pizza nearing the $ 20 mark (sausage and peppers, pepperoni and onions, olives and mushrooms — I’m a combination type girl) makes me frown.
Cheese fries are cheeseylicious. Eggplant parm is a bit greasy and more like a vegetarian late night drinking food then meat alternative dinner. Service is friendly enough, and there 7 large-​ish and 2 two-​seater booths.
I come. I eat. I am satisfied. I don’t swear my allegiance, but location near the train and downtown is pretty clutch.

We moved in down the street a few months ago, ND on moving day pizza was the best idea ever. Seeing as this place was so close we figured — better try it out. It was pretty darn great! We got the vegetable pie, tastes fresh and everything had flavor. Was even great the next day. So no complaints!
Went back recently to get slices and while the plain slice wasn’t bad — and even tasted good warmed up the next day — the grandma’s slice was mad icky.
There is more than enough seating, plenty of options, and this is overall a great little neighborhood pizza place. But that’s about it. Not worth driving around to find to really hunting down.
Reasonable prices!

Food quality is lacking — pizza appeared to be not fresh, girl swore it was «just made», no flavor to the sauce, crust was soggy after reheating it in the brick oven — garlic knots had zero flavor and we’re just balls of dough and the red sauce had NO flavor or seasonings — I’ve eaten jar sauce with better flavor.
I would not recommend this place based on poor customer service, poor food quality and no standards. There are better pizzerias to frequent with better food within walking distance of this place. Don’t waste your money.

I live close to this pizzeria, so I pick up food here about once every month or two when I’m too lazy to cook. You definitely get a great value. I like the Margherita and Special Combo pizzas, as well as the garlic knots. The garden salad is large, nicely dressed, and extremely fresh.
Can’t speak much to the service, as I typically order online (which is very easy and convenient), but the staff is pleasant enough when I go over there to pick up.

Ordered from here for dinner in last night. I ordered chicken Parmesan with bow tie pasta and fried calamari.
The chicken Parmesan meal was not the best We had ever had but it was fresh and tasty.
The calamari order had fried octopus and French fries in there, so few calamari for the price, and I didn’t ask for octopus. What if we hadn’t liked octopus?

Michelino’s in Rahway is my family’s go-​to spot for Friday night pizza delivery. The pizza isn’t the best I’ve ever had, but it’s solidly good and reliable. Where they shine is the pasta — their penne in vodka sauce is my absolute favorite, and when I’m feeling extra adventurous, I get the vodka sauce over tortellini! Amazeballs!
Only a few times have I had minor problems, and that was when I placed an order from a location other than home on a day when I don’t normally order pizza. I can forgive that minor issue of delivering 5 slices of pizza instead of 5 pizza pies because they’ve provided my family with awesome service for years before this weird occurrence.
The best part about this place, though, is the ability to place orders online, and the rewards system that gives out credit towards free food after so many orders. There is even a basic tracking system to see where your order is in the process. Nice feature that is a bit out of the ordinary for this neck of the woods.

I been their many times. I always felt the the food was really good. I went back their a few weeks ago for the first time in over a year. I ordered a slice of pizza and when I paid I gave a ten dollar bill the young man at the counter shorted me the change. When I questioned it I was told I gave only a five dollar bill. I know mistakes can be made but I’m sure it wasn’t on my part. I feel he did not or at least was willing to check to see if an error was made. I didn’t want to argue because it was only a small amount. But who wants to pay eight dollars for a slice? The pizza was OK but not worth that much. I hate to say I won’t be going back because of that incident. But I will say the food is pretty good. just disappointed in the way I was treated.

When I want a simple classic thin crust elaborate pizza, yes I said simple and elaborate together, the pizza here is fantastic, fresh, tasty and affordable. There’s a good amount of options for everyone, and my favorite is Chicken Buffalo.
Staff seems okay, I don’t pay attention to them much but they do have a tendency to stare sometimes, also the atmosphere is very open, so it’s a nice place to dine, hangout with friends. It’s across from the Rahway train station so, if you’re looking for pizza before getting on the train or off the train, come try the pizza here first before you leave!

I wandered into this establishment while I waited for my train to come and I was extremely upset I did. I ordered two plain slices and a Buffalo Chicken Garlic Knot. The pizza was horrible. There was to much cheese compared to how much sauce they put on and it tasted like the oven it was heated in. The first two or three bites just tasted bad because it was horrible pizza, but then the disgusting taste of the oven started. The staff is ridiculously apathetic and could care less people expect somewhat decent service and good pizza. The only reason I am giving one star is because the knot was good. Probably because it was heated on aluminum foil and never touched that disgusting oven. Avoid at all cost, grab a Snickers instead.

I lived in Rahway for a year and I did it so I could have an easy commute to New York. Rahway, as anyone reading this review knows, is not the coolest, greatest city on the planet. Sorry, but it’s true.
That being said, it’s not without solid, local restaurants to eat at on the regular. Or in my case, get take out.
Michelino’s has:
–Delicious meat sauce. Get it on spaghetti, add on meatballs, eat it up with the complementary garlic bread and have yourself a night in
–Pretty good pizza that hits the spot
–Grilled chicken caesar salads that provide plenty of sustenance when you’re trying to eat healthy
Now that I live in California, I don’t miss Rahway. But sometimes, when the wind hits me just right, I do miss Michelino’s.

Great pizza, not too oily or too soggy. Nice place with friendly staff. Very clean and comfortable seating.
Will definitely be back.
